The 1400 sq ft custom accommodation is exclusively yours for the duration of your stay. (While a guest, you'll love just passing through the open freedom of the nearly 20 acre setting, gorgeous views, marvelous landscaping, native wildlife and grazing show horses!).
3. The chateau is beautifully custom-furnished, with magnificent polished flooring, fully furnished kitchen, separate living, separate bedroom, king size bed, large elegant bathroom, and grand loft. Well-arranged tables, desks, & chairs also serve as excellent workstations for longer term stays.
4. All utilities, amenities, towels, bedding, cooking utensils, dish-ware, appliances, Internet WIFI, Blu-ray, Cable, HDTV, & Washer/Dryer are included.

VACATION SITE PROPERTY OVERVIEW.
You will love it! Please read the Reviews. The property itself is a majestic 20 acre mountainside estate--wooded, pastoral and protected--hidden on the edge of Lakeway, just outside Austin. The storybook chateau is a custom-built estate guesthouse/cottage--independently located atop a scenic section of the estate property--and accessed via winding private drive, over pond and creek, through fields and trees, then up a hillside with scenic views, private parking and outdoor landscaping.
As a guest, you will enjoy authentic chateau-style high-country views, starry nights, cool breezes,, a vintage storybook Texas hill country feel ('quiet, spacious, & cozy'), and wonderful interior lodge-style wildlife and mountain decor. Finished out in 2012, the chateau is fully tech-equipped, has all kinds of custom touches, and is immaculately cleaned and prepared for each guest.
*NOTE: A major plus for this property is that, although privately located, it is also right in the midst of some of the best dining, entertainment, music, recreation, lake and leisure activities in the state!
Upon entering the custom accommodation, guests are greeted by an exquisite large main living area with high-gloss floors, stonework & area rugs, an antique-style gas iron fireplace, comfortable leather seating, beautiful high pine wood ceilings, and furs all around. The view and scenery back west through the panoramic windows is peaceful and relaxing (with guests also able to seasonably observe the area's native wildlife, as well as birds and hummingbirds via feeders perfectly placed by the owners).
A granite full kitchen, large custom bathroom (with huge shower, 2 separate shower heads, & tile seating), & cozy private bedroom add to the smartly designed charm of the place. The decorated stairway and grand 2nd floor loft above--both of which overlook the main living area--allow for even more space to enjoy and entertain from.
Because the chateau is outfitted with a 55' wall-mounted LED HDTV, free WIFI, and convenient workspaces on both levels, you can easily check-in with the world, home, and office--without missing a beat.
Returning outdoors, the chateau shines with high-country patio views, living space and areas to explore (private porch,, stone paths, flowerbeds, winding private roads, artistically crafted rock walls, seasonal wildflowers, & private pond, just to name a few.

Stroll the property, explore the barn, relax by the pond, hike the parks and nearby nature trails, play the area golf courses, enjoy Lake Travis water sports, or scout Lakeway and nearby Austin for the best area shopping, stores and restaurants; or venture west just 30 minutes or so into the Hill Country to visit the wineries, small towns and quaint shops. Or just sit & enjoy the privacy, amenities, birds and wildlife from the panoramic windows. A perfect spot for weekend TV sport watchers also!
The property is only 4.5 miles from Lake Travis, 3.5 miles from the Lakeway Airpark and 25 miles from Austin Bergstrom International Airport. If you enjoy water sports, the Lakeway Marina is 10 minutes away. Rent boats and jet skis there. Fishing, water-skiing, and other lake activities are enjoyed year-round. Three public golf courses (Falcon Head, Flintrock Falls, The Hills) and the World of Tennis facility are all within 3 miles. The new Lakeway Regional Medical center is 5 minutes from the cottage (out of sight, but there if you need it). The Hill Country Galleria and Backyard music venue are both only 10 minutes away. During a Backyard event, one can relax on the cottage porch or on the high patio vista under the stars and often pick up the faint sound of live music from world famous bands drifting in on the night air.
Day trips to Fredericksburg (1½ hours away), Johnson City and the LBJ Ranch, Wimberley, and New Braunfels afford great opportunities to explore the Texas Hill Country from this Lakeway base. Downtown Austin, The University of Texas, and the Texas State Capitol complex are also all within 20 miles.

This property will not disappoint! It is one of a kind, and is the perfect place for (1) a couples scenic weekend escape/vacation retreat and base to explore the hill country (with beautiful sunsets and area restaurants); (2) an individual's peaceful and solitary escape from the fast-paced urban world; (3) a writer's hideaway with majestic views, paths and points for inspiration; or (4) a visiting executives’ business retreat for short stays. The custom accommodation has its own access drive, allowing guests to easily come and go.
The property is also occasionally made available for photo and film shoots, portraits, or small weddings and events of 25 persons or less. If you need a private place to take photos, hold a small event, or just make memories: (1) around an open fire, (2) alongside a horse at sunset, (3) in and around a beautiful hill country stone stable, or (4) maybe in the panorama of surrounding fields, flowers and trees (see our site photos), please check with us as to availability.
IMPORTANT: The property is scenic and beautiful, landscaped and maintained in a natural state. Seasonal change, short and long-term weather patterns and events (heat, cold, rain, drought, flood, etc) will of course affect appearance.
PETS are NOT PERMITTED due to compatibility issues with existing animals, property wildlife, and interior allergy concerns of other guests.
Additional visitors beyond the 2 booked occupants are not permitted without advance notice & approval by owners. Beyond the 2 booked occupants, no additional persons are allowed to sleep over. No Parties are permitted.
A standard release and indemnity agreement is required of all guests upon arrival.
