We are home most of the time and are very happy to answer your questions. Occasionally a gray and white cat named Malloy may stop by and check on you. He is very sweet and friendly, but is a real jerk at heart. Remember that. ;-) The NeighborhoodIt is never boring here. Many Amish families live in the Spartansburg area. Horse buggies are not an uncommon sight. The town is very walkable with just about anything you need including a mom and pop grocery store across the street, post office, Amish-style restaurant, bar and kitchen, doctor, pharmacy, churches, pizza shop, and hardware store. The main trailhead for the East Branch Trail and fishing at Clear Lake are just down the street. And if you hear a very loud siren, that is just our way of alerting our local firemen to respond to an emergency call. Many motorcycles, Amish buggies, and log trucks travel through Spartansburg making for a diverse traffic mix. To get a closer look at the town via social media, go to the, "You Might Be From Spartansburg" page. It's never boring. Getting AroundThe major modes of transportation are walking, automobiles, motorcycles, Amish buggies, and the occasional off-road ATV. In the winter, snowmobiles are everywhere. There is a rumor that Uber may be available in the area. Other Things to NoteA chiropractic office is located in a room on the first floor. Office hours are on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons. Your cell phone may not work very well here or anywhere in town. There is a cordless landline telephone downstairs that you may use and wi-fi is available. You are welcome to use the kitchen on the first floor. If you need anything, we live next door in the yellow house or call us at (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN).

Our cabin is located near the small settlement of Neilltown (actually a crossroads with 6 homes and a church) 9 miles from Tionesta & Titusville and within the western part of the PA Wilds, adjacent to the Allegheny National Forest and Wilderness Area. You can come here to relax, find peace and quiet, and refresh your spirit in the solitude of the Big Woods. Or, you can find more activities than you can possibly do in one visit. Forest County is PA’s least populated county where camps outnumber residences. The cabin, Procrastination Station, can sleep 6 to 8 people. It has 2 bedrooms; a queen size bed in one, a queen size bunk bed in the other, a full bath with shower, and a fully equipped kitchen. The living room has a sofa with a double pull out bed. It has a flat screen TV with DVD player and a DVD Library for young and old alike, games and books. There is a modern wood stove, propane heater, and outside features are a rear deck, a graveled 16ft x 24ft picnic pavilion with picnic table, lawn chairs, gas grille, fire ring and dry firewood. All you have to do is bring your own food or choose restaurants in nearby Pleasantville and Titusville. We have 600 private acres for hiking, biking and enjoying the bear, deer, turkey’s, bobcats, small wildlife, birds, trout and bass fishing at its finest. Hunting can be arranged in season. In nearby Tionesta, Eagles nest along the Allegheny River and soar over the Wilds. You will be close to Cooks Forest State Park with its virgin timber, Tionesta Dam for swimming and boating, tubing, kayaking and canoeing on the Allegheny River, Drakes Well in Titusville - the Birth Place of the Oil Industry, Cornplanter and Oil Creek State Parks, Kinzua Dam & Recreation Area and several huge State Game Lands. A delightful and authentic visit to the Pennsylvania Wilds! The secluded large rustic lodge consists of two side by side wings (buildings) connected by a deck walkway. Each wing has three levels. There are 28 rooms in all, each having lovely views of the surrounding forest. Multiple living room areas accommodate comfortable reading and relaxation spaces as well as venues for crafts, cards, board games and group exchanges. Libraries invite browsing. Expansive decks at the second level of each wing encourage similar activities outside. There is a fully-equipped large kitchen with an adjacent large dining area; a kitchenette is also available for additional food preparation. Many cooks can comfortably work together without concern for “spoiling the broth.” (Guests are, of course, responsible for their own food. Recommendations for catering services and local restaurants will be available. (It should be noted, however, that restaurants and grocery stores are at least nine miles away.) Although the lodge is rustic it is well-appointed with comfort features such as hot water baseboard heat fueled by natural gas from wells on the property. Some floors are oak hardwood; others are carpeted. Creative touches introduced by the owner-builder throughout the buildings surprise and delight guests. A large barn (unheated) is available for indoor activities such as weddings, active game playing, dancing, dramatic performances, presentations to groups, yoga, tai chi, or whatever activity requires a large open space. The barn, like the lodge, has large decks for enjoying the woodland landscape. There is a pond on the property and trails for walking through the 150 acres of fields and forests. Guests particularly enjoy the photographic opportunities and nature study. Outdoor activities are available including campfires and games such as croquet and volleyball. The setting is suitable for gatherings, parties, retreats, reunions, weddings, workshops, receptions, and all kinds of music and social events. There is plenty of parking space for large events.
