Our prices include 5.0% Wisconsin state & 0.50% Lincoln county sales tax. Airbnb does not collect the sales tax when you book so we have it built into the pricing.
We are family owned and operated. We rent out a cozy 1 Bedroom Private Efficiency/Suite/ "in-law" suite/ above our garage, with a separate outside entry.
No one lives in the suite. It is strictly for guests' use. We are fully licensed & permitted by the state and the county. We are inspected annually by the county health department. Our dog is not allowed inside the suite.
There is a combined bedroom, kitchenette, sitting and dining area and a separate private bathroom with shower, toilet, sink/vanity. Towels are provided along with shampoo & conditioner, bath wash/soap, and additional convenience items.
One (1) very comfortable handmade willow-twig Queen Size Bed with a luxurious mattress and quality linens are provided.
Your private bathroom has premium Kohler fixtures, toilet, sink, vanity and shower. Hair blow dryer and various toiletries, soap are provided in case you forgot your own.
Towels, Linens and Bedding are provided.
No daily maid service is provided. We do not enter the apartment when it is occupied. We respect your privacy. If you need something, please ask!
Kitchenette - includes a small dorm-sized refrigerator, whirlpool microwave oven, coffee maker, toaster, large stainless steel kitchen sink. Our guests may also use a full sized refrigerator and freezer in the garage below. Just let us know! We have a large stainless steel natural gas grill on our patio, that guests are also welcome to use.
You may bring your own food to the suite and cook using the microwave and outside grill.
*Note: there is NO STOVE OR OVEN in the kitchen.
No hotplates, electric frying pans or other cooking appliances are allowed.
We do not provide "breakfast" but there is tea, coffee, hot cocoa, instant oatmeal, granola bars, and snacks in the suite.
The suite is tastefully decorated with custom made furniture and Northwoods decor.

Radio/Alarm Clock/CD player.
Paperback books, magazines, standard DVD player, DVD's, numerous board games, cards, and information on local sites, activities, trails and restaurants.
There is a Samsung 32 inch LED Smart TV for online apps and for DVD movie viewing (there is no TV reception) There is a Redbox movie outlet in Tomahawk at Nelson's County Market. We also have some DVD's in the apartment.
The suite doesn't have TV reception but we have a 32" Samsung LED Smart TV so that you can access Netflix or other streaming online sites. There are a large amount of apps available this way for you to watch.
You share a land line phone with us. It has free unlimited long distance within the US, through Charter.
Cell phone reception can be spotty depending on your carrier - best reception is outside. We use Verizon and it is pretty good.
We are located on Deer Lake, Lincoln County (4 miles N of Tomahawk). Deer Lake is a beautiful, clear, spring fed, deep lake with a shallow level sandy shoreline. Great for fishing, swimming and boating. A very lovely lake.
Lake Size: 156 Acres. Maximum Depth 62 feet. 3 miles of shoreline.
Lake Notes: Specializing in Northern Pike, Muskie and Bluegill. Walleye, Large & Smallmouth Bass and panfish are also numerous. Deer connects to Bridge Lake & Lake Nokomis (The Rice Reservoir) via a man-made channel which is usually only navigable through early-mid July. After that, the water level in the channel is usually too low to get through with a motor. Usually, we can still kayak through.
We have 3, 1-person kayaks and a Grumman 2 person Canoe available for your free use. Fishing boat, Pontoon Boat and Personal Watercraft rentals are available at Tomahawk Sports Center in Tomahawk - 4 miles away.
Changing Gears Pedal & Paddle is 2 miles away and has bicycles, kayaks and paddle boards available for rent and delivery.
Usually, we have plenty of room available on the beach or dockside for a boat. There is a nearby boat ramp on the lake and a couple on Lake Nokomis.
The owners use the main house year round.
The Suite is open mid May - Mid September. If the snow comes early, we close early. We are easy to find and accessible by highway. Our 0.1 + mile driveway is entirely paved.

The Annual Harley Davidson Fall Ride for MDA is in mid September which draws thousands of motorcycles to the area. July 4th is a huge celebration along with Pow Wow Days, and every month of the summer has special events.
We are 25 miles south of Minocqua, 15 miles west of Rhinelander and close to other northwoods destinations.
No public transportation is available. You need to have your own.
There is a family house dog on the property but she is never allowed in the apartment. She is a loving, people-friendly Goldendoodle (half golden retriever, half standard poodle.) Her name is Lexi and she was born in 2010.
We are Strictly NON Smoking and NO pets. The Apartment is not large enough to have a 3rd person in the room so please don't ask us to accommodate more than 2 people. We simply cannot. Ask us about infants.
We encourage you to walk the numerous trails that we created throughout our 7+ acres and our additional 12 acres across the road. You will always hear or see wildlife to view and photograph. There are numerous ATV trails in Lincoln and the surrounding counties for your use. They allow ATV's in Tomahawk on designated city streets. We are just 1.7 miles off the Bearskin State Park Trail and Hiawatha Trail for Biking and Hiking! Easy to access from our property for a day of biking. Motorcyclists love to ride the back roads of northern WI.

The main cottage and garages are private. You can use the outdoor tables, chairs, fire pit, kayaks, canoe, grill, dock, trails. We will help you out in any way we can. Interaction with GuestsAs much or as little as you prefer! One of us is usually around and you can come to the door and ring the doorbell or find us outside. We are always available by phone. We will respect your privacy. The NeighborhoodPeaceful quiet setting in the woods and on the lake with nature and it's sounds all around. There are many outdoor activities to enjoy and local events, sights to see within a 5-10 minute drive or less. We have many places listed in our "Guidebook" on this web site. Take a look at them and also visit the local Chamber of Commerce online. We have a binder inside your suite that has a lot of information on places to see, restaurants, trails, etc. Getting AroundNo public access/transportation. Your own transportation is required. We are 1 mile off of the Freeway (U.S. Hwy 51) and 0.1 mile off of U.S. Hwy 8. We are on 7 acres of wooded land with 130+ feet of lake frontage on Deer Lake. This is a very clean, clear, spring-fed, deep lake with a sandy shoreline. Other Things to NoteSALES TAX NOTE:
Airbnb does NOT collect county and state sales taxes with your prepaid reservation. Therefore, our listed prices and the cleaning fee on Airbnb reflect the added 5.0% Wisconsin & 0.50% Lincoln county sales taxes. Airbnb does not provide a line item for hosts to collect nor for showing the amounts to the guests. A major flaw, in our opinion. We submit all required taxes on our rental income according to current state and county laws.
