The SpaceEnjoy the warm glow of old birch paneling though out the "observation lounge ", the "galley" (with vintage appliances) and a comfortable full size bed in the bedroom. You control the temperature with the thermostat. There is a sink, a standard toilet and a shower in the compact bathroom. Please note that the bathroom may not be comfortable for plus-size guests. Guest AccessYou will be staying on three quarters of an acre with a berm separating the meadow from a county road. There are resident deer and jack rabbits, so pets are not appropriate. This is a very private setting which backs up to ranch land (with holstein and angus cows who sometimes bellow in the night). Interaction with GuestsCome through the gate to our front door to meet us. We will take you for an orientation to the finer points of this special trailer and its surrounds. We hope you will enjoy the solitude and nature offered here. We welcome you, but not your pets in this setting. In the trailer, look through our booklet of places to eat and things to do, and let us know of your additions or suggestions. The NeighborhoodWe are located several miles east of the village of Tomales, Marin County and west of Two Rock (Sonoma County). There are no immediate neighbors. Cycling, hiking and birdwatching are popular. Getting AroundThis is a rural area. You probably want a vehicle to get here safely. There is a public transit stop in Petaluma (fourteen miles to the east), but the taxi fare to here could be expensive. But bring those bikes! Once you're here, there are fine cycling opportunities from our property. You can enjoy the two-lane country blacktop all around us. Other Things to NoteOur policy is to accept reservations from Airbnb members who have several good reviews from other hosts. Usually only Verizon phones work near the coast. Don't depend on any other cellphone's global positioning assistance to find us. Also, there is no Wi-Fi offered or cable available on the property. Good restaurants are within a fifteen minute drive: our favorites are lunch at The Marshall Store for oysters or fish tacos (sitting outside right along the bay), and Nick's Cove, also right on Tomales Bay for romantic seafood dinners. Many of our guests, enjoy a kayak tour on the bay with Bluewater Kayaks in Marshall, or a wildlife photography safari in Point Reyes National Seashore with renowned guide Daniel Dietrich.
