This is a "Granny Flat" consisting of 3 rooms and a bathroom which can accommodate up to 3 people. It can be accessed from the driveway of the house, but also through the house. I have retired and really enjoy travelling, and therefore would love some people to come to stay.

Soak up the peace and quiet and tranquil rural views, have a drink on the balcony in the summer and watch the sun set, or enjoy the cosy fire and board games in the sitting room in winter. Getting AroundGuest have parking directly at the front door under a carport. Booking a taxi is the best way to get to the airport. There is very limited public transport on bus service available. Your host has much local knowlege to share, and will be happy guide you to any number of the fabulous local attractions around Adelaide and surrounds. South Australia is a big, truly beautiful and largely unspoilt place and your host would be proud to show some of it off! The world class mountain bike park is literally a stone's throw from Sundance and exciting National Events are held there every year. The top class Mount Lofty and Mount Osmond Golf Courses are located just a few minutes away as are many other attractions ~ Mount Lofty Summit and Restaurant, Mount Lofty Botanic Garden, the picturesque Piccadilly Valley, Cleland Wildlife Park, the beautiful hills villages of Stirling and Aldgate, Bridgewater, Hahndorf and "The Cedars" - home of Hans Heysen, State of the Art wineries, Warrawong Sanctuary (do a night walk and see platypus) Belair National Park, Carrick Hill Historic House - you could walk there, and many more lovely things to see and do close to home. A trip to the Barossa Valley and a visit to McLaren Vale Wine regions each involving beautiful scenic drives, are well worthwhile. Call in and have a look at some of the stunning beaches on the Fleurieu Peninsula while you're in the area, less than an hour's drive from Sundance. Day trips to Victor Harbour, Goolwa, Murray Bridge and Mannum, are highly recommended and quite do-able in a day. Please ask your host for other sight seeing suggestions!!

The SpaceOur home is comfortable and well equipped complete with pool, wi-fi internet, dishwasher, a wow-factor bathroom, two sitting rooms and a private garden, which includes an outdoor eating area. We're close to trains and buses which take you speedily to the CBD and the sea is about 15 mins drive away. Adelaide has hills surrounding it and is near to wineries - a great place to visit or live. There are good restaurants near by and cafes galore! We can offer you a double bedroom (Room 2 in photos) and exclusive use of a quiet, comfy sitting room, plus shared use of a large kitchen/dining area, huge bathroom, garden, pool & laundry - also off street parking. The NeighborhoodAdelaide: Adelaide is a great place to explore, easy to get around and has both hills and the sea nearby - the best of all worlds! It's a lovely drive to local wineries and is famous for its numerous restaurants. Getting AroundPublic transport is easy bus and trains 5mins mins walk - 15 minutes jounrney to city. Beach 25 minutes on bus from front door. Can access free bicycle in City Centre to get around Adelaide. Driving is easy in Adelaide. Other Things to NoteBelair National Park is a short train ride. Carrick Hill - heritage house and gardens is a 5 minute drive away.

The SpaceThis is a spacious early 20th century house in a tree-lined street, on a large block with established gardens. The guest room is light and airy, with a queen bed & storage, opening onto a veranda and garden; relax on the shaded front porch and take in the garden, or move up to the tree-shaded park bench up by the chook yard & shed. Alternatively you could enjoy the enclosed back patio looking onto the back garden, or eat at the kitchen bench. The small fridge in the walk-in pantry is available for your use, plus a couple of shelves. The guest bathroom is just down the hall. Swimming pool & spa Tennis court Entertaining deck Bush walking Golf club Interaction is up to you! We will be at home mostly, but lead a busy family life. There is usually someone home every day for help with transport and tourist info. Mt Osmond is in a conservation zone in the Adelaide Foothills. It is a very quiet area with little traffic noise - although the birds can be very noisy.... Surrounded by beautiful old gums our elevated home is situated in a culdesac with only 6 other homes. The only facility in the area is the Mt Osmond Golf Course which is within walking distance and lovely for a quiet meal or a relaxing drink - or of course, a game of golf. The easiest way to get here is by (website hidden) Osmond is service by the public bus route. Our home is a little way from the bus stop, but walking is possible for the fit (think 15 minutes uphill) - we can pick you up if needs be. Depending on where you need to get to and what times, we may be available to pick up and drop off. Although, having your own car will give you the most flexibility. We have two very well behaved dogs - one quite old and very docile, and one a bit younger and eager to be anybodys best friend. We also have one cat. We have just completed building our tennis court - photos coming soon! Current photos show a huge pile of dirt where our new court now stands. I am at home most days, but lead a busy family life which involves a lot of in and out. We are a very friendly family, so conversation is probably inevitable! The dogs are always happy for interaction too if it involves being taken for a walk. The NeighborhoodMount Osmond is a small, very quiet suburb set on the front of the Adelaide Hills in a conservation zone. Getting AroundThe most convenient form of transport is by car. A taxi from the CBD to our home will cost you about $25, or from the airport around $35. Our closest bus stop (number 16 on the South Eastern Freeway) is a 15 minute walk away down a steep hill - it's a good work out, but not for the faint hearted. From the city, you can catch nearly any bus heading up the Freeway to Mt Barker, Stirling or Crafers. I am also happy to drop/collect if it fits with my schedule. Other Things to NoteWe do welcome small children, but please note that we have several sets of stairs. We also have a high chair and a cot if needed. Breakfast consists of weetbix, museli, porridge, toast and eggs. There is no TV in the room, but there is one in the lounge which guests are welcome to use - providing, of course, that the viewing is appropriate for a family setting.

Nature and countryside There are several National Parks on the Urban fringes within easy reach if that is you fancy, including Belair, Morialta and Mt Lofty. Events and Arts Adelaide has a number of festivals throughout the year including OzAsia, the Adelaide Fringe, The Adelaide Festival and many more events. This is a great base for all these events.

    The SpaceOur Space The house is large, airy, with two living areas, two bathrooms (one with a bath), a renovated kitchen, one bedroom with queen sized bed, one back mixed purpose room with a double bed, two kids rooms - one with a 3/4 bed and one with bunk beds. We also have a fireplace, a 10 meter pool with stone paving, a large yard with a deck, a patio and a shaded verandah. There is a large trampoline, cubby house, slide, swings and heaps of kids toys and activities. The yard and house are completely enclosed with high fences and off road parking. Location The house is 8 km from the city, close to bus stops and train station which travel to the city, hills and beach. There are restaurants, Woolworths and a shopping centre nearby. The house is set in the foot hills, with quick access to the hills, city and southern suburbs.     The SpaceThe historic house has been beautifully detailed with ceiling roses and vents and sits in an upmarket leafy suburb 30 min drive to southern ,vale wineries and 19 minutes drive to the best beaches. You are surrounded by nature with sounds of kookaburras and mopawk owls on occasions and a resident blue tongue lizard that often suns itself in the garden plot next to your front door. Guest AccessYou have access to the numerous sitting areas around the grounds, one on the front veranda to watch the sunset another in a secluded creeper covered private retreat with ferns and bushes surrounding you. A wonderful breakfast spot on a warm day.The BBQ area seats 8 people and is on the western side of the house and covered with mesh to give some shade Interaction with GuestsI will great my guests with a home made meal in the main house area, if they so desire and will discuss what is available in the immediate surrounds both historically and nature. I have lived in this area for 25 years and would love to I drive you to the Koala colony and picnic ground which are close to each other but only 5 min from my home. Its central position to city, beaches, hills ,vines and nature make it a perfect spot to stay and play. Other Things to NoteI intend to stock the pantry with breakfast cereal and bread will be in the freezer and milk butter and spreads in the frige. The pantry I expect, will build up partially used dry items as i ask guests to leave what they buy but do not use. Plastic containers,bags and glad wrap and foil is supplied. I will be as helpfull or as private as you desire.
