      Amanzi translates from the Zulu word for water which is a tribute to our African heritage and is the perfect description of our location at Taupo Bay. Nestled under a hill at the North (calm) end of Taupo Bay Amanzi is absolute beachfront - 'spitting' distance to the sand and beach, but with plenty of grass for touch rugby, soccer, cricket, petanque or simply lying in the sun watching everyone enjoying the gorgeous beach, this bach offers something for everyone. With its own right-of-way and capacity for up to 10 guests, Amanzi is perfect for the extended or two-family holiday. With 2 queen bed rooms, a twin room and family room with super king bed and 2 twins there's room a-plenty for everyone. The perfect set up for a large group and includes a pool table and use of the dingy. We have been coming here for over 40 years and little has changed in that time. The camp store offers a great variety of necessities with the historic Mangonui township a mere 10 minutes drive from the state highway. Come, share and enjoy this unbelievable piece of exquisite New Zealand. Special conditions: Amanzi is not at all suitable for children under the age of 3 years due to the bedroom layouts, it's proximity to the water and the steep stairs. Smoking is welcome outside only. Duvets, pillows and blankets are provided, but all sheets, pillowcases and towels must be bought with you. Our expectation is for Amanzi to be left as it is found please. Extras: Cleaning (Optional, NZ$175.00 per stay); Linen (Optional, NZ$20.00 per person); Refundable bond (security deposit) (Required, NZ$300.00 per stay);
