The SpaceHi, welcome to my 1930s tudor-style, 1800-square-foot rowhome in Baltimore. It's a cozy, quiet place and a very short drive to most of the major universities in town, including Towson University, Johns Hopkins, Goucher College, Stevenson University, Notre Dame, Loyola University, so perfect for families doing the college visit circuit or for parents visiting their students, or visiting faculty. The house is also very close to many of the major hospitals for traveling nurses and physicians—Union Memorial, St. Joseph's Medical Center, GMBC, Good Samaritan, Sheppard Pratt, Sinai, Maryland General Hospital, Kennedy Krieger, Mercy, Johns Hopkins, and more. Belvedere Square, is just two blocks away. LOCATION: 15 minutes from all the major attractions, Inner Harbor, Baltimore Museum of Art, American Visionary Art Museum, National Aquarium, 2 minutes from Towson, 5 minutes driving distance from light rail and I-83. It's a great spot for parents wanting to check out colleges in Baltimore or visiting your kids who are already here. The house is also just 45 minutes from Washington, DC. NEIGHBORHOOD: The house is on a quiet, lovely, tree-lined street (voted prettiest in Baltimore) in a good, well-established neighborhood. Belvedere Square is walking distance—a few blocks away—and boasts a wonderful summer music festival if you happen to be here on a Friday night in the summer months. It also has a number of restaurants, pubs, and shops as well as the Senator Theater, one of the top-rated art deco style movie theaters in the country, with first-run movies. The house is a 5- minute drive to Whole Foods or Trader Joe's, 5 minutes to the closest mall. HOME SET UP: There are 2 bedrooms with 1 queen-size bed and 1 full size bed, and 1 futon in the carpeted, above-ground basement. Additionally, the house has 1 large, full bath upstairs + 1/4 bath in basement (it's a Baltimore thing with houses built in this era), eat-in kitchen and granite countertops, gas stove/oven, central A/C, radiator heat, hardwood floors, washer/dryer, sky lights, sunroom/meditation room off the master bedroom, wood-burning fireplace, and much more. Lots of old world charm with updated amenities. Beautifully decorated and furnished. Wi-fi and basic cable provided. WHAT WILL BE WAITING FOR YOU WHEN YOU ARRIVE: - Fresh linens and towels - Hairdryer - Clock radio - House manual with everything you need to know about the house and hood. - Shower and hand soaps - Directions to and information about local area attractions - Coffee and teas - Condiments PLEASE NOTE: The house has a lot of stairs and is not child proofed, so it's not a great space for families with small children. Also, as much as I love four-legged family members, I have a no pet policy due to allergies! : ( Thanks for stopping by! Guest AccessGuests will have access to the entire house. The NeighborhoodThis is a well established neighborhood in walking distance to shops and restaurants of Belvedere Square. Belvedere Square has wonderful restaurants, pubs, a European style market, and an art-deco movie theater. In the summer months, each Friday night they block off the area for a concert in the Square. Food and beverage vendors are out and people set up picnic style dining and listen to various local bands perform. It's a lot of fun! Getting AroundI'm 5 minutes drive from the light rail and there are bus stops a block or two from the house. Most guests use a car, however, to get around. There is plenty of street parking. Other Things to NoteStreet parking is readily available directly in front of the house.

The SpaceHi, welcome to my beautiful 1930s rowhome in North Baltimore, located on what was voted the "prettiest street in Baltimore." The large front bedroom features hardwood floors, a large closet, and a full-sized, antique mahogany bed. This can be for a short-term stay, or I have flexibility in terms of a longer-term lease, and I can offer a month-to-month lease (rates would be less for a full month lease). The house is very comfortable, and well decorated and fully furnished with towels, cooking utensils, etc. Hi, welcome to my 1930s tudor-style, 1800-square-foot rowhome in Baltimore. The SpaceHi, and welcome to my 1930s rowhome in North Baltimore (a great neighborhood, very close to restaurants, area universities, and more). This room is in the above ground basement, and features brand-new carpeting, a full-size futon bed, and a TV with basic cable. There's a quarter bath in the basement as well. The house is very comfortable, and well decorated and fully furnished with towels, cooking utensils, etc. HOME AMENITIES AND SET UP: There are two bedrooms upstairs with a large, shared bathroom. The rest of the house is shared and includes eat-in kitchen and granite counter tops, gas stove/oven, central A/C, radiator heat, hardwood floors, washer/dryer, wood-burning fireplace, fenced in back patio area. The basement has a 1/4 bath (a Baltimore thing). Lots of old world charm with updated amenities. Beautifully decorated and furnished. LOCATION: 15 minutes from all the museums and attractions of downtown Baltimore and the Inner Harbor, 2 minutes from Towson, 15 minutes from Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, 45 minutes from Washington, DC., and 5 minutes driving distance from light rail and I-83. The house is on a lovely tree lined street (voted prettiest in Baltimore) in a good, well established neighborhood near restaurants and shops, walking distance to Belvedere Square. I'm within 10 minutes of most of the major universities in the area (for families coming to events on campuses), including Johns Hopkins, Loyola, Notre Dame, Towson University, Goucher, and Stevenson, and I have a full guide to the neighborhood and to the house, including take out menus from local restaurants, directions to local museums, shops, and eateries (everything you'd want is within minutes). It's a great, quiet alternative, but close to downtown and all the activities you might want to enjoy in the city. And I'm about 35 minutes from BWI airport. PARKING: There is plenty of street parking directly in front of the house. TRANSPORTATION: A car is needed, but I'm a 5 minutes' drive from the light rail, 10 minutes' drive to the Amtrak station, and 5 minutes to the major highway running into downtown (I-83 and 695). SAFETY: It's always a concern for anyone who knows Baltimore! My neighborhood is a well established neighborhood with families who have lived there for generations. I've lived here for six years and have always felt safe. OTHER: No pets or smokers, please. I'm easy going, clean, respectful, friendly (but also understand about personal space needs!). Right now, I'm working from home during the day, but that could change, and I will likely be traveling quite a bit in the upcoming months. Thanks for your interest! Guest AccessGuests will have access to the full kitchen, full bath, and living/dining room area. There are two TVs in the house--the basement area can be either a bedroom or living space. Interaction with GuestsI'm usually on site, but also give my guests plenty of space! The NeighborhoodThis is a well established neighborhood with easy street parking and access to all the amenities of the city, including restaurants, shops, and downtown attractions. Getting AroundThere are several public bus lines within a few blocks, and I'm about a five minute drive to the light rail which runs downtown, to the airport and train stations, and all the way up to Cockeysville. Other Things to NoteOne note: if you are here during the winter, this room is located in the basement, which is also where the furnace is located. If you're a very light sleeper, this might be disturbing for you (when it turns on), so I might suggest the upstairs room for you if it's available. Otherwise, guests report that it is very comfortable!
