This house used to be a home for the area landlord, one of a rare kind of antique houses which still remain the scent of old age.
Located on the way to Mt.Haguro (Dewa Sanzan Shrine), this is an ideal base for Mt.Haguro and Mt.Gassan hiking.
The pilgrimage route in Mr.Haguro is always open throughout the year even in the heavy snow, it is quite an experience to hike up/down the ancient stone paved mossy steps in deep forest.
