The SpacePlay some 2 on 2, or team up and try your hand at pickleball, volleyball or badminton. After heating up on the court, take a cool swim in the deck-side pool, or just relax and catch some rays. If the weather sours, move the competition inside and rack up some billiards play or snatch up a paddle and ping pong your way to 21. After you have worked at your play, why not retire to the comfort of this fine home. Sit on the leather sofa and enjoy your favorite game or movie. Gather in the kitchen and share a great meal. Or if it's cold outside, grab a book, light a fire in the fireplace, sink into the stuffed chairs and let the world go by. When you can keep your eyes open no longer, head to the decorated bedrooms and snuggle in. You will wake up rested and ready for the next day's activities! Getting AroundThis home is located in the heart of midtown and is just minutes from anywhere in Tulsa.

While we are "Family/Kid" friendly our space may not be Kid Proof. We have made some adjustments to help you keep our home and your child safe. Also it is important to let us (and all AirBnB hosts) know if you plan on having a party. We don't discourage a few friends for cocktails but beer/booze pong is not acceptable in our home. The SpaceI've lived in Tulsa for the majority of my life, and I am just in love with this apartment. It is one of the coolest places I've ever lived in. The building is almost 100 years old, so it has all of that 1920s charm and character: open space, lots of pretty windows, beautiful flooring. There are a few quirks that come with the century-old space, though: sometimes the doors don't close all the way, there's not central heat/air, and the toilet & bath have small stains. It's well worth the stay, though! Guest AccessYou have access to my entire apartment. Interaction with GuestsI try to only list my space when I'm going to be out of town, so chances are I will not see you. However, I'm available via phone/text for any of your needs. Getting AroundI live two blocks from a bus stop. However, I wouldn't take the city buses. Other Things to NoteMy cat, Batman, lives at my apartment full time. He is self-sufficient and cool, but he will be around. :)

The SpaceThere must be something that inspires the imagination at this little tree house. At least one novel has been written here, a handful of songs, a painting, a portion of a graduate thesis, say nothing of the amazing magnetic poetry I am greeted with upon the departure of most of our guests :-). Our tree house apartment is next to a big mulberry tree in the back yard. The apt is cozy and is decorated in a woodsy kind of way. Double bed. Absolutely no smoking. For long term stay there is a bunk bed area with ladder so you can store your suit cases if needed. We have all your cooking and eating supplies, fridge, microwave, stove. Claw leg tub. I will warn you in advance that it is a 100 year old tub or so.. and there are hard water stains and it is porous. It is not going to look shiny and new but it will be clean :-). In the warmer months the yard is really pretty. Not so much though in the winter. We have a veggie garden, multiple flower gardens and a water garden. We just added a little electric fireplace just for fun. It really puts off the heat but you don't need to use the heat if you just want to see the flames and use it for ambiance alone. Please note that this isn't a fancy hotel but a quaint little get away. Expect a nearly 100 year old property where not every corner is straight, and some of the windows have a trick to them :-) I am very picky about smoking in my little get away. I don't know how many people have thought they could open a window and it wouldn't leave a trace. It does! We can smell it and so can the non smoking tenants who follow you. Please, please do not smoke in our little house. It makes me feel so good when people leave our home as they found it. It is a kindness, and I appreciate it. I especially like to read the new poems that you guys leave with the magnetic poetry on the fridge and look forward to seeing the strange new ways our little artist's model is posed :-) If you consider that this is an urban farm you will be a happy camper as there are water collection tanks, hoses, garden tools etc that you might not see at the average home. We also use the permaculture method of gardening and so even the garden isn't going to look like your standard, straight line, no weed garden... we eat many of the weeds and the edible ones are allowed to flourish where they may. As of mid October 2016 we have a brand new mattress on the bed to make it even more comfy ;-) Guest Accesstheir own apt. Interaction with GuestsIf you would like to visit the artist studio please let me know. Happy to show you around. Check houseconcertsunlimited to see if we are having a concert when you are here. suggested donations are usually around $15-20. We do love to share our city. If you would like company let us know. Otherwise we will stay out of your hair. If there is something you need and an average house usually has it, then I probably do in the big house.... please ask. I have loaned out scissors, tape, kitchen utensils etc. The NeighborhoodVery walkable. Check out the community garden right behind our home and a little north on Cheyenne street. Walking distance from all the hotspots downtown and even a golf course. I will leave a list of my favorite haunts. Ask me if you are looking for something specific... great outdoors? great restaurants for every income level? free activities? route 66 must sees? Just ask. Getting Aroundparking is in the street. There is public transit near by. Very easy to get to from the airport. Our friend, Kelli lives just down the street and drives for lyft. Her handle is KELLI454. She is also the owner of Okie Crowe which is in a great old art deco bldg downtown. Other Things to NoteThere are a few odds and ends of shampoo, toothpaste, conditioner in the bathroom, coffee, cream, sugar in the kitchen. If you have stayed with us before and received a great review... and... want to stay with us again for 2 or more days, please ask for a 10% discount. Please check out before 11 or ask if you need more time. If there is no one booked that evening I am often open to a later check out. Just ask.

The SpaceThis apartment is in the basement of our 1920s remodeled home in the Historic Brady Heights District. The apt is decorated in a music/art theme. There is a large living room, bedroom with queen bed, dining area, bathroom, private entrance, street parking. I have a roll away bed with two mattresses and a couch if there are more sleeping spaces needed. The floor is painted concrete and the apt is mostly finished out except exposed beams in the bathroom. Some walls are concrete and other interior walls are sheet rock. We also keep a private storage area behind a curtain that is in the bedroom closet. Because it is a basement apt. you will have to walk down stairs ( toilet is at the top of the stairs ) If you are someone who has trouble with stairs, this may not be the best place for you. Check out the neighborhood by (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN). Brady Heights. The apt has a studio kitchen with microwave, electric oven, crock pot, waffle iron, hot plate, big fridge. Bathroom has claw leg tub, pedestal sink. There is also an iron and ironing board available and washer/dryer. There is a TV but limited stations as we don't have cable. I have lots of DVDs though. Some recent guests were put off by a floor drain in the bathroom. This is common in old 2 story homes of this era. Do not be afraid :-) In the summer the condensation hose runs from the AC to that drain and you just have to deal with it as we can't make water run up... it must go down and this is our best solution. Please know this is a basement apt and it has its imperfections... ( charm :-) You are not booking a room in the Hilton so please don't expect absolute perfection. There are visible pipes in the bathroom and by a window in the dining area, the floor is painted, there is a drop ceiling and painted concrete block walls in some portions of the apt. The ceiling is insulated for sound but you are going to hear footsteps and muffled conversation every now and then just as you would in any home. We try our best to keep music down and the TV lower so as to not effect your peace. You will not hurt our feelings if we don't notice that you have returned and have kept our music a little louder. Just let us know and we will adjust the volume as it is very important to us that you are happy. Great walkable neighborhood. Visit the community garden one block behind the home. We can't take any smokers or pets. Depending on our schedule, we love showing off our city. Don't be afraid to ask. We are right upstairs so if you need a deck of cards, an aspirin or a recommendation for the best hole in the wall restaurant or coffee house, feel free to knock on our door. There is a coffee maker and coffee and tea ready for you. Breakfast is not included in the fee. I used to provide a few things but found that everyone has their own preferences and it wasn't always what I supplied so there was a lot of unnecessary waste. I will leave you some coffee, tea, oatmeal though. We live in a very walkable, tree lined, historic neighborhood. You are a few steps away from our community garden, bus routes,a few blocks from Owen Park, golf course, One OK Baseball, Music Districts, Guthrie Green, Lots of restaurants and coffee houses, bars, and The Tulsa Children's Museum. Downtown is about a 15 minute walk. We are about 12 blocks from the BOK where you can take in a great show, Guthrie Green where we showcase a lot of free local and national musicians on weekend evenings and Sunday afternoons in season, Baseball Stadium, the historic Cains Ballroom, Woody Guthrie Center, coffee houses, Arts and Entertainment Districts, Tulsa Country Club and more. There is a lot to do at night downtown and there is a trolley service available for free on weekends that hits all the hotspots from Brady district to Cherry Street to Brookside. I can take 2 comfortably but do have pull out mattress and couch for up to 4 guests. Wi Fi available. We often host house concerts in our home where musicians from all over the country come to perform in our living room. You can check the website for schedules. houseco(URL HIDDEN) If you are fortunate enough to stay with us on one of those evenings you are invited to attend as our guests. ( feel free to make a small donation to the performers ) please let us know if you plan on attending as seating is limited. Concerts are usually over by 10:30. Bed linens, towels provided unless you wish to bring your own. I am an artist (URL HIDDEN) If you want to visit my studio on the 2nd floor, let me know. Scott, my husband is a family therapist and NPR radio host (URL HIDDEN) poet and singer/songwriter. He can tell you the best places to hear local music. Twist his arm and he'll take you there. Just added a little electric fireplace in the apt. You can use it for heat or turn off the heat just for ambiance. Guest AccessGuests have access to the entire apt. There is a private entrance to the apt on the north side of the home and the front pathway is lit to welcome you. Interaction with GuestsWe are right upstairs so we try to be here to welcome you and are here to answer any questions you might have and may be able, depending on our own schedule, to show you around downtown or at least offer great suggestions on what to do within a few blocks or a few miles from us. If we happen to be having a house concert that evening you are invited to join us as our guests. Check houseconcertsunlimited for calendar. If you notice anything amiss in the apartment please alert us immediately so that we can address your concern. We want your stay to be the best it can be. We love to meet the guests who stay with us. The NeighborhoodWe are a front porch, old fashioned, historical neighborhood. Lots of folks walk to downtown, the community garden ( on one street over, right behind our home ) to visit the neighbors. A very friendly neighborhood. Brady Heights Historic District. You can find a webpage by googling the neighborhood. We are very close to tons of night life and family activity areas: dining, concerts, sporting events, art galleries and museums. There will be a list for you in the apt of some of our favorites. Getting AroundWe are close to a bus stop and walking distance to downtown ( 15 minute walk ) I will leave you a list of great nearby restaurants, hotspots, family activities and more. A very easy walk to downtown. We feel very comfortable walking by daylight and if we are going to be downtown after dark we would suggest taking a car or asking about our favorite Lyft driver to bring you home. Our friend, Kelli lives just down the street and drives for lyft. Her handle is KELLI454. She is also the owner/creator of Okie Crowe soaps which is in a great old art deco bldg downtown. Other Things to NoteI am an oil painter and have a studio on the 2nd floor of the house. Anyone wishing to visit while you are here, I would be happy to arrange a visit w you. The SpaceThe home is in one of the oldest neighborhoods in Tulsa. As a guest you have full reign of the home, with a back deck to watch the famous Oklahoma sunsets. High ceilings. Screened front porch. One mile (walking distance) from the BOK Center, Cains, The Brady Theater and Downtown. Guest AccessFull access. Please park either in the street or in the driveway but closest to the house. We share the driveway with the house to the left. Interaction with GuestsI'm a phone call or text away. I live 2 miles from the home. My family also lives right across the street from the house if need be. The NeighborhoodI grew up in this neighborhood. It's one of the oldest neighborhoods in Tulsa. It's a historic neighborhood as well so most of the houses have been renovated to look the way they did when they were first built. It's full of artists, and musicians. Unfortunately it's been a bit gentrified over the last 10 years, and seems to be the norm nowadays for neighborhoods near metropolitan areas. Getting AroundThe home is located near downtown and is walking distance to the BOK Center, Brady Arts District, Woody Guthrie Center, Cains, Brady Theater, Civic Center, Philbrook Downtown, Guthrie Green, and tons of restaurants. I may get some bikes in the near future for guests to pedal around on :)
