It is a great place for a personal retreat. Within 30 minutes one can be in the historic town of Tubac, now a haven for artists, and only 90 minutes from Tucson. This area is still part of the Old West and is a great place to unplug form urban life.

Arivaca is just far away from the city to unplug from urban life and reconnect with the peacefulness of nature. Its residents are a colorful and eclectic group of individuals that add a bit of fascination to one's adventure.
There is no public transportation in the Arivaca area, so one must rent a car to be able to travel about.
Pandora is available to rent for individuals and groups. Pricing is based at $65 per room per night. Or the entire house can be rented as well at $300 per night. It is a wonderful place to hold family gatherings, workshops, weddings and retreats. Maximum occupancy is 15. There is one room with 4 twin beds, one with a queen and twin bed, one room with a full size bed, and three rooms with two twin beds each. One room downstairs is appropriate for handicap use. For parties larger than 15, renters may bring additional cots/bedding.

Surrounded by mountain ranges Arivaca is a birding hotspot with the Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge in the center of town. Arivaca Lake is six miles down Ruby Road, enroute to the ghost town of Ruby. Arivaca Creek and Mustang Trail provide hiking with abundant birds and wildlife.
At an elevation of 3,800', and positioned to capture weather rolling in from the South and West the climate is cooler and wetter than Tucson with highs ranging up to 100 and lows into the teens. Rainfall ranges from 12-20 inches per year, most of which occurs during the spectacular summer monsoons.
