Gourmet Breakfast consisting of bacon from the local Butcher, fresh farm eggs, home made bread, home made muesli, condiments, tea, coffee and milk will be supplied for the first morning. There is plenty of room to park a boat at the house. To find 'Sangria', drive through Mannum, straight past the 2 ferries for approx 3 ½ km. The house, at No 363, is on the left, at the top of a steep driveway and is marked by a large redgum sign.

    The SpaceThe house is comfortable and well equipped, from a barbecue on the balcony to a wonderful modern kitchen with dishwasher. Foyer, laundry and second toilet are on the ground floor, 3 bedrooms and a bathroom on the second and open plan living on the top floor, with another back access to the rear of the house. The top floor has lounge, dining and kitchen which leads to the balcony and the wonderful views. Two bedrooms have double beds and the third has twin. Guest AccessThe only area which is off limits is the garage as the house has ample parking in the front, off the road. If you have a boat in tow there is plenty of parking even for that. Interaction with GuestsWe love to greet our guests on arrival and give then the keys but apart from the original booking arrangements you have complete privacy. The NeighborhoodMannum is steeped with history. A water town, it houses the paddle steamers of a by gone era. It has 2 hotels and some fine eateries, a wonderful park where the paddle steamers dock and easy access to the boat ramp. There are supermarkets, pharmacies, fishing supplies, second hand and antiques, a gym, whatever you may need, even the occasional clothes shop. The Mannum Tourist Association has a very informative outlet and there are both short and long trips on the river available on most days. They can advise you of everything on offer. If it's fishing you want, it's right at your doorstep, or hire a jet ski for the day. It's all available in the town. Getting AroundMost things are in walking distance or a short drive and if it's Adelaide you want, it's only and hour and a half down the freeway.

    The Space20 minutes out of Mannum and 15 minutes from Walkers Flat Guest AccessRiver Gem is one large shack divided into two, the only shared facilities are the jetty (not to be used for mooring your boat), the laundry / bathroom area and stairways to access upstairs. Upstairs internally is completely divided and private. All outdoor areas are divided by blinds including the front balcony. We like people to be aware as the other side is owned and sometimes may have people also enjoying this amazing property. If you would like to rent River Gem when no one is staying at the other side please let us know and we will see if this can be arranged, a lodging levy may apply.
