Interaction with GuestsI mostly work at home since I run small private English courses for the local youth so there will be an interaction but not intrusively so. I am always available to give information on the amazing local villages to visit and sometimes have time to do trips if you would like. I am also joining a community that goes to the mountains, waterfalls, or some islands every weekend so you can always join. The NeighborhoodThe neighborhood is an educational area and untouristy. If you want to live like an Indonesian it is a perfect neighborhood. There are many places to eat within walking distance. The airport, bus station, and the immigration office is also not too far. It takes 20 minutes to get to the city center where there are many great seafood restaurants, a beautiful waterfront, tourist spots (like the floating Mosque), bars, karaoke, markets, harbour, etc. Getting AroundIt is easy to get around Makassar. The bus system is simple and the taxis are cheap. I will provide a complete information about how to get around when you will be here. Other Things to NoteThe living room is an open space so there will be some mosquitos. We suggest you to use mosquito repellant.
I run an affordable English course at my house and I use the living room as a class in the evening (there are no classes for a while).
I join a mountaineering community so they come once a while. The good side is we often go to the mountain or an island on the weekend and you are welcome to join or we can tell you some beautiful places that not many people know.
