The SpaceI live with my parents and my brother's family in a 6 room old Russian apartment. Typical Mongolian family. You will sleep on couch that turns into a bed for two in your room. Room itself has a balcony facing south and can host 2 people. My current guests evaluated our location as 3 stars, thus I am sincerely asking you to consider our location before reserving with us! Its written clearly on my listings. It is 5 (FIVE) km away from the city center! Once you made the reservation, I will take it as you understood and agreed to the condition of taking the bus ride in order to go to the city center! If you are okay with all of it and red through all the infos I provided here, you are very welcomed in my family! Please, read all the info carefully. Thank you for your understanding and contribution. Guest AccessKitchen, Washing machine Interaction with GuestsDepending on my schedule I will help and see you as much as I could. When I am working I leave home early and tend to arrive late or very late. If I am going to hang out with friends or something like that, I will def let you know and I hope you will be able to join for some fun. I will try to do my best to make you feel comfortable as possible. The NeighborhoodI don't live in a rich and nice neighborhood. If you want a better neighborhood please check out other accommodation that is close to the city center or in Zaisan area, after the Peace bridge. Generally, our location is close to the supermarkets, bank, ATMs, second biggest black market, local bus stations, domestic bus station center (very suitable if you are doing a bus trip to the countrysides) as well as on the peace avenue (main road) and very close to the GUER DISTRICTS. One thing to remember though, its not like right in the heart of the city., It is 5 km away from the center but if you take a bus it will take around 15-20 min depending on the road. If you are planning to stay with us, please be aware of the distance, and when you confirm the request on the days you request I usually take it as you agree with the info I provided on my profile. Getting AroundPublic Transportation: Regarding transportation, bus station or taxi can be found in 2 min walk. We are on the peace avenue, so you can get to the city only by one bus, bus number 1 would go all the way. Bus costs 500 MNT, and taxi per km costs 800 MNT. Remember that my flat is on the west side of the city and its 15-25 min bus ride to the center. **** Parking: We don't own a garage or have a parking space in a heated parking. But, outside of my apartment there are many spaces you can park for free or in order to be more safe you can park your vehicle at paid parking space which is very close as well. Per night it will cost you between (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)MNT. **** DIRECTIONS from airport: There is no bus coming from the airport to the city. But there are taxis from the airport, which can take you here between (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) MNT. Don't pay more than 40000 MNT, you will be overcharged. DIRECTIONS from train station: Once you get off from the train, walk straight towards north till you reach Peace Ave (main road). From the north part of the road find the closest bus station and take a bus (26, 17, 23, 27, 2 and 4) or a cab to 1st khoroolol. Take off at bus station called "Kharkhorin" or "19" then give me a call! or ask in advance via private message! PS: As from my current experiences I discovered that picking up guests from the airport or from the train station are necessary. Thus, I am just going to set a reasonable price for this service. -Per visit for picking up/dropping off service at the Airport costs 30,000 MNT (about 15$) -Per visit for picking up/dropping off service at the Train station costs 10.000 MNT (5$ from my home) You can make the transportation service payment in cash anytime before you leave. Thank you! Other Things to NoteMy current guests evaluated our location as 3 stars, thus I am sincerely asking you to consider our location before reserving with us! Its written clearly on my listings. Once you made the reservation, I will take it as you understood and agreed to the condition of taking the bus ride in order to go to the city center and make yourself agreed to the situation. *** I will give you keys to your room and to the flat and to the entrance of the apartment. **** Elevator starts at 7am and stops at 11pm on weekdays and 10pm on weekends. Remember that we live on the 9th floor. If you are coming early in the morning or late in the evening, expect that you will walk up to 9th floor! **** Ulaanbaatar city itself has a problem with water system that they have to change\fix tubes annually etc. So, its possible hot water to be out sometimes but it happens usually once in a year. Please read carefully and then if you agree all the terms you are very welcomed again!

The SpaceThe apartment is very cosy and light, located in a building of historic value that is referred to a 40,000 (or 40K) building, it is extremely well constructed and are some of the most beautiful structures in the city. Warm in winter, cool in summer. These buildings are living history having been created by the Soviet's in the 1960s for the Political, Military and Societal elite. We strongly believe in the value of these buildings as they are all located centrally, are built to a very high standard and retain some of the last communal green space within the city. The staircases within the buildings are generally old, however, the apartments inside have been crafted to make sure your stay in UB is a memorable one. It is extremely well equipped and fitted with all brand new furniture and electronical appliances, perfect for the long winters and cold nights. Guest AccessThe apartment is yours to live in and look after so please make yourself at home. We will be with you all along the way so if you have a problem, let us know - otherwise we will let you explore on your own. This apartment has a door code to the building that should be fully explained on arrival. Additionally, there are no lifts in the building but if you need help carrying up luggage or any other artefacts you may have gathered during your stay we are happy to help. Interaction with GuestsWe would be more than happy to help throughout your visit. Whether it's showing you a few great places to eat or watch a movie or even if you need mail to be delivered - we are here to make your life easy and hopefully have fun along the way! Also, to make things easy, on arrival you should have a small Welcome Pack in the apartment with a few essentials and a little information about your new home. In addition to our personal touch we have a full team of people that can help you if there is a power cut or something breaks in the apartment or even with small tasks like booking tickets or recommending restaurants. We are only ever an email or phone call away and will work our hardest to make sure all is good. Our office opening hours are: (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN). Nevertheless, if you have a problem just give us a call and we will be with you asap. M.A.D. Office (Mon-Fri (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)): (+(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) Finally, if you need something delivered during your stay, we have a shipping/mailing address. Just ask and we will provide! The NeighborhoodThe city centre of Ulaanbaatar is a thriving, moving, exciting place. Divided in a number of areas, it is a geographically small but very compact area. As would be expected, apartments in the city centre are older and smaller but still cozy and comfortable. The city centre is home to the vast majority of bars, markets, restaurants, shops and all other amenities. It is also the place where the vast majority of offices and commercial space are located. As the city centre is geographically quite small, getting about on foot is easy and convenient. The majority of short term tenants live in this area as it is by far the most convenient. All of M.A.D.‘s short term rental apartments are located next to the State Department Store, the epicentre of life in the city centre. Everything is nearby, including the Central Business District (10 min on foot). You will see everyday Mongolian life unfold before you whether its meeting your neighbours in the staircase, walking through he communal park in the courtyard or going to the Delguur (shop) to get a few supplies. We hope you will love life in UB as much as we do! In terms of restaurants and cafes right around the corner, for instance: These restaurants are less than 5 minutes away - Sakura Bakery (Japanese), Rosewood (Italian/ American) Miko Dining (Japanese), Oriental Treasure (Taiwanese), Te Amo (Korean Coffee Shop), Cafe Bene (Korean Coffee Shop), Deli Darbar (Indian), Tendo (Italian) CODE (French Patisserie) The Green Zone (Fresh European Food) and Uri Shigdan (Korean). These aren't all of the places as you will see on arrival! In terms of shops there are a great deal of shops that range from useful convenience stores (Bravo) and large super markets (State Department Store) to boutiques that sell fine cashmere and wool items. If you need further information please just ask! Getting AroundIn terms of public transport, in UB it is still very much under-developed and it is rare for foreigners to take the buses. Never the less the main artery of the city is peace avenue so taking a bus is very easy. Having said this, I would recommend walking as you will be within a 10 to 15 minute walk of nearly everything worth seeing in Ulaanbaatar. And if that doesn't work you can just hop in a cab - all of which should be reasonably priced (with real emphasis on "should"!). For convenience here is the phone number of an English speaking taxi company called "Help Taxi": (+(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN). Other Things to NoteWe will do literally everything to make your stay comfortable with us - sometimes though UB throws us a curveball like a power cut in the middle of the day or stopping the supply of hot water to an apartment. We will aim to keep you as up to date as possible with what is happening and will try to sort it out. However, there are times when this sort of this is out of our hand in which case we will have to ride out the storm or as has often been the case help you find another of our lovely spaces to occupy in the mean time!

The SpaceThe balcony inside Tserendorj Studio has been enclosed to make space for a desk and bring in a lot of light, particularly important for the winter months. The studio is mere steps away from the State Department Store, Mercury Market as well as a 24 hour convenience shop around the corner and most of the best restaurants and bars that UB has to offer. It is a perfect location to spend the cold winters - close to everything that matters. The NeighborhoodThe area this apartment is located in is really the hub of life for the majority of people that live in Mongolia. It is one of the few properly pedestrianised zones in the city. Here you are a stones throw away from the State Department Store, the National Circus, the Zanabazar Museum of Fine Arts and the National Museum of Mongolia in addition to a range of great restaurants and cafes to name a few of the things going on! In terms of shops there are a great deal of shops that range from useful convenience stores and large super markets (State Department Store) to boutiques that sell fine cashmere and wool items around the corner. For more information please do not hesitate to ask!

The SpaceThis apartment, like almost all of our portfolio, is located in the historic centre of Ulaanbaatar in one of the 40K buildings. This apartment is located very close to the State Department Store (around a 3 minute walk) - the epicentre of most commercial and social activity in Ulaanbaatar and even Mongolia! The apartment is beautifully decorated with a mixture of handmade furniture from our very own work shop - we love to support local trade wherever we can and a range of other pieces. It has a fully fitted out kitchen, a modern bathroom, two large bedrooms and importantly WiFi internet access. The overall theme running through the two bedroomed apartment could be described as Euro meets Mongolia. It would really make a great place to stay for both short term stop overs and business trips to longer term ventures into Mongolia. You will see everyday Mongolian life unfold before you whether its meeting your neighbours in the staircase, walking through he communal park in the courtyard or going to the Delguur (shop) to get a few supplies. We hope you will love life in UB as much as we do! In terms of restaurants and cafes right around the corner, for instance: These restaurants are less than 5 minutes away - Sakura Bakery (Japanese), Rosewood (Italian/ American) Miko Dining (Japanese), Oriental Treasure (Taiwanese), Te Amo (Korean Coffee Shop), Cafe Bene (Korean Coffee Shop), Deli Darbar (Indian), Tendo (Italian) and Uri Shigdan (Korean). These aren't all of the places as you will see on arrival! In terms of shops there are a great deal of shops that range from useful convenience stores (Bravo) and large super markets (State Department Store) to boutiques that sell fine cashmere and wool items. Getting AroundIn terms of public transport, in UB it is still very much under-developed and it is rare for foreigners to take the buses. Never the less the main artery of the city is peace avenue so taking a bus is very easy.
