The lakefront is undeveloped and includes a private peninsula with water and rolling hills views. A grass covered causeway path accesses it. The peninsula and sandy beaches allow for peaceful solitary or group activities such as camping, picnics, swimming, boating, fishing, or nature immersion. The apartment is on a gentle elevation that is just a short walk away on log lined wood chip covered pathways through wild flowers and woods. The lakefront also has a classic white dock with ramp and float, an expansive grassy area for views, sunning, or games. There are also lakeside trails leading to a lily pond and stone dam with actively flowing water. The beauty is stunning and restorative. The lake is spring fed and pure with clarity extending for more than 20 feet. Fish include land locked salmon, brown trout, brook trout, rainbow smelt, small mouth bass, white perch, and several other species. Loons return each year to nest and fish along the shore. They serenade at night along with the owls. Night times are also enjoyed for star-studded skies, fireflies in season, campfires, peaceful sleeping, and then waking to the call of mourning doves. White tail deer, wild turkey, game and songbirds also live here along with eagles and other natural inhabitants. Fields, lawns and flowers surround the house and apartment. There is a garage with washer/dryer under the 2nd story apartment, which is accessed by a private entrance and stairway. The apartment has architectural features with interesting angles, tasteful furnishings and fully stocked kitchen with modern and European style appliances. The open living area has a full size sofa bed and the large separate bedroom has a vaulted ceiling, pine floors, and comfortable king-sized bed. The Mid-Coast of Maine truly offers something for everyone. From the apartment, within minutes you can drive to interesting scenic areas. The nearby towns offer sight seeing, shopping, museums, dining, and ocean activities such as schooner day sailing, or a day on a lobster boat. Nestled on a hillside inside a private 1200 acre property, this cabin offers extreme privacy and many of the comforts of home. The nearest neighbor is over a mile a way. There's very little ambient light at night so the stars are huge and not a whisper of noise from anyone but you which makes sitting on the large front deck an extraordinary treat. There's an indoor bathroom with shower and hot and cold running water when the generator is running and there's a fridge and stove for meals. With this said, it is an easy drive to Belfast, Camden and Rockland to enjoy all the attractions that of Maine's midcoast including lobsters fresh off the boat, schooner sails, visits to the islands, puffin tours, hiking, biking, and so much more. Bring a canoe or kayak and enjoy Kingdom Bog which is mostly on our property. There are no camps around the lake so you'll be paddling or fishing on a lake and it's unlikely you'll see other paddlers. So if you want to get way away from it all in a private retreat and still be able to enjoy fine dining and more, give us a call.

'Camp Arthur', a family cottage on Pemaquid Lake built in the 1950's, is a quintessential Maine experience. If you value quiet, privacy and serenity, being next to nature, hearing the loons call day and night and the lake pleasures of boating, swimming, fishing and sunsets - this is the place for you. If you need TV, electronics, noise, close neighbors and a Club Med atmosphere - it is not. The propane/solar-powered cottage (or camp in Maine vernacular) has rustic charm but also all the comforts of home, but we do ask our guests to be mindful of utility conservation. The waterfront has a dock, a natural sandy beach, a swim float. We also offer 2 kayaks, a canoe (paddles and life vests, of course, included) and a paddleboat for the use of our guests. The camp itself has two stories - two bedrooms (queen/double) and a full bath upstairs, a kitchen, dining area, living room, a sleeping porch (with double bed and futon), fireplace and half bath downstairs. There is a large open yard area shaded by tall pines. The yard area also includes a hammock, two picnic tables, several Adirondack chairs, a gas grill and a well-supplied woodshed. In case you should want to leave this lovely place, there's so much to do in the surrounding area - sports, hiking, sightseeing, antiquing, auctions, art galleries, theater, great restaurants, festivals, farmer's markets and on and on. The charming town of Damariscotta, including three wonderful grocery stores, is only a few miles away. And if you're a photographer, the opportunities are endless! Our family considers this very special spot truly Heaven on Earth, but we do like to share it on a limited basis with people who would also respect and appreciate it. Keywords: Maine Lake Camp

This quiet cottage on Lermond Pond is at the end of a camp road, yet close to Camden. It has warm pine inside, a large deck and an outdoor firepit for roasting marshmallows. Birds abound here including heron and woodpeckers. The canoe provided is an Old Town Stillwater. There are a few motorboats on Lermond, but it is a very quiet pond. The cottage is located near the connection with Alford Lake and is an easy to portage to the deeper springfed lake for avid fishermen and women. No swimming, but the dock available sets out into the shallow water. There are two large black tractor tire tubes to float on in the water. No pets, no smoking please. Two double beds, one in each bedroom, with a double pullout couch. Microwave, electric stove. No internet. TV will pick up local stations. Wood stove, Vermont Castings, with plenty of Maine hardwood for you. No air conditioning, but fans and the breezes off the pond will keep you cool. Relax on the large deck on the Adirondack chairs.
