The SpaceThanks for stopping by! We would like to invite you to our comfortable home in the Drake/Beaverdale neighborhoods. We have a cozy bedroom available with off-white carpeting, a full size black iron bed with a Serta Plush mattress, chair, dresser and desk. The bedroom has a flat panel television with antenna reception only. No cable. Your private bathroom is just a couple steps outside your bedroom. For the most part we are a quiet household. If you feel like cooking, everything you need is probably in the kitchen. If you feel like lounging on the main floor please do so. Pick a seat to enjoy a book, flip through a magazine, watch some tv or play cards on the front porch. If you're on the front porch take in the beauty of 100 year-old oaks still standing tall. Our home is on a mature tree-lined street in the heart of Des Moines. The neighborhood is a great place for walking and running and is close to many restaurants, bars, theatres and shops. The location is central to all things North, East, South and West, so when it comes to traveling in the metro you're in the most convenient area. DART bus service is available only a half block from the house. Interstate 235 is a few blocks to the south, and many of the main arteries are close by too. For our Summer and Autumn guests, Beaverdale Farmer's Market is Tuesday evenings. It's a very enjoyable destination. The farthest destination in the metro is only 15 to 20 minutes, and while your traveling around the city we hope you find why we love our hometown Des Moines. Drake University is less than five minutes away, and Des Moines University is 10 minutes. Check out the guidebook on this listing for some of our favorites places around town. For guests flying or coming by bus we will be happy to pick you up free of charge. We look forward to meeting and hosting you.
