The Space2 min. away from the main Costanera Sur highway, off the heart of the village of Uvita, far enough away surrounded by farm land and lush trees so all you hear are the tropical birds, and the cows when they are close by. We are on the same road as the Marino Balleno National Park: the whales tale which you see clearly at low tide, where you'll see whales and dolphins playing, which is two min. away drive or a 15-20 min. peaceful walk. Close to everything in Uvita. and only an hour south of Manuel Antonio. This village has every first world want, and adrenaline seeking thrill, but boasts a very different vibe. Perfect for the visitor wanting it all, but not the crowds. Surfing, snorkeling, kayaking, horse back riding, caving, waterfalls, national parks, good food, and good company. Home of the 'Envision' festival, and other music festivals. Wake up every morning to the sounds of tropical birds, cicadas, watch the colourful hummingbirds while sipping your Costa Rican coffee, from the traditional coffee maker, and see iguanas basking in the sun. If you're lucky, you'll have the company of a Brahman cow talking to you over the fence, with its giant eyes luring you in. Eat from our papaya, mango, avocado, star fruit, anona, orange, trees and pinapple!! Smell the illang and illang fragrant at dusk, and retreat at night to the music of the geckos, toads, and sounds of tropical paradise....oh and no traffic. Peace. Interaction with GuestsWe live on the property, and stay in the bedroom, in the main house kitchen, which is shared with guests who rent the main Casa. We try to be as knowledgable about things to do, places to go, tips and all things under the sun. We do love company, but also enjoy our private time, as quality of life is what we love Costa Rica for. The NeighborhoodRight off the main CostaSur Highway, (by the DOME restaurant, and La Fogata pizzeria) along river, and up from the Marina Ballena Park. A perfect location for jungle expeditions, surfing, water sports, waterfall discoveries, snorkeling, diving, and close to Panama and Manuel Antonio. Getting AroundSan Jose is the closest airport with 'directo' buses leaving everyday for Uvita (4 hour) If coming by car, or bike, its right along the highway south to Quepos, and along the newly built highway (some of the most pristine driving along the coast in CR) with jungle on the left and stunning beaches on the right. Other Things to NoteParking is onsite, and free. Our location is min. away from all local attractions, many stunning and quiet or crowed beaches, snorkeling, diving, groceries, banks, restaurants, including the amazing 'La Fogata' pizzeria'. One hour drive south from Manuel Antonio. Our village of Uvita is much more quaint without the hustle and bustle, but with all the amenities, and attractions. We do recommend if in the budget to rent a car while exploring the south of CR. The new highway is one of the best in the country running from Manuel Antonio to Panama.
