Our property boasts a beautifully restored wooden villa, with 3 bedrooms. All bedrooms are equipped with queen sized beds, air-conditioning and en-suite bathrooms. The spacious master suite has 2 beds, allowing this room to accommodate up to 4 people. We also have a fully equipped outdoor kitchen for those who like to prepare their own meals. There is also a cottage set in the garden, where we normally stay when we have guests.
Our home is for anyone and everyone. Nature lovers, artists, writers, or for people trying to get away from it all. It is particularly suitable for families, or a group of friends who want to experience something more unique. Guest AccessGuests have access to the entire property (except the bungalow) during their stay. We do not allow outside visitors on the property grounds, to ensure safety, privacy and security for our guests. Interaction with GuestsNormally when we have guests, we also stay on the property (but in a separate bungalow) and are available to answer any questions, resolve any issues, or provide advice on what you can experience around Angkor and Siem Reap. We can also plan and organise additional services such as lunches and dinners at Meru, transport and other activities such as cooking or pottery classes, cycling tours or even a private boat trip on the Tonle Sap lake. We will also prepare breakfast for you each morning, which is included in the price :)
It is up to you how much interaction you would like to have. We are happy to give you as much privacy as you want. The NeighborhoodLocated on the edge of the Angkor Archeological Park, you can sense the historic and cultural atmosphere of Angkor Wat while staying at the property. The entrance to Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom are only a short bicycle ride away (3km), allowing you to use the property as a base to explore the temples conveniently. You'll be pressed to find a property like ours this close to the Angkor Wat temple complex! This means that you can retreat to the property for a quick lunch, to refresh, or have a short rest before continuing your journey through the temples for the afternoon or sunset.
The property is surrounded by rice fields and a cluster of village homes. Explore the local life on your doorstep, where you will be greeted with hellos and smiles as you journey through the countryside surrounding Angkor Wat. Here, you will find a sanctuary from the busy and often crowded tourist hub of Siem Reap town, providing you with an authentic experience! Please note that in Cambodia we perform various religious and cultural festivities, and so it is common to hear village celebrations or ceremonies, and this is a great time to discover more about the culture and people. You may even find you get invited to a wedding in the village, which is an unforgettable experience! Ceremonies can sometimes start early in the morning and therefore you may get a wake up call, and usually finish in the evening, at reasonable hours.
There are a handful of local restaurants dotted around the entrance of Angkor Wat that are open from morning to early evening. There is also a great local market about 1km from the property, where you can buy fruits and vegetables etc. Getting AroundWe are conveniently located between Angkor Wat and Siem Reap Airport (about a 5-10 minute drive between each destination). We offer free airport pick up service for each group of guests.
As the property is located a stone's throw away from Angkor Wat, getting to the main temples couldn't be easier! Our dedicated Tuk Tuk drivers will be available on a daily basis to transport you to the temples and into Siem Reap town at the standard daily rate. For bigger groups we can also organize cars or vans to accommodate your needs.
Bicycles are available for rent if you prefer to explore on your own, and this is recommended for the temples.
The tourist hub of Siem Reap town is accessible in 20 minutes by Tuk-Tuk from our property. While you will find tourist services, restaurants and bars there, please note that we can offer services including food and beverage, transport and activity bookings, which saves you from having to leave the property, so you can maximise your relaxation time :) Other Things to NoteELECTRICITY
