The Space*** 2 Bedrooms plus Loft (sleeps up to 6), 1.5 Bathrooms *** Escape to the beautiful Sierra foothills to enjoy nature from the comforts of a luxurious hilltop hideaway home with spectacular sunset views. It’s the best of both worlds with the privacy of 60 fenced rural acres (you are the ONLY guests on the property) plus the conveniences of being only a few miles from town (Pine Grove, Jackson and Sutter Creek), and below the snow pack at 2000' but a short drive to Kirkwood. The magnificent great room with dining room has lots of space for your family to enjoy including a spiral log staircase to the loft. The stone wall fireplace features a log mantle that was harvested from a dead tree on our property. The kitchen opens to the new Rec Room with adjoining patio space and outside BBQ for convenient meal prep. The romantic master bedroom has many special features including a new Cal King canopy bed, simple switch propane fireplace, and make-up vanity dressing area. The en-suite bath features a jetted deep soaking tub, double-sinks and double-shower with both rain head and handheld nozzles. The half-bath is adjacent to the 2nd bedroom / Rec Room which includes a new and very comfortable queen-sized sleeper sofa with a LaZ-Boy high-end foam mattress. The additional sleeping is a full-sized spring-coiled futon sofa in loft, which is ideal for kids wanting their own hideaway. Every room in the house is uncluttered with plenty of drawer/cabinet storage space for guests. What makes our Dog & Pony Ranch so special are the features that have been designed for 4-footed family members who are not only “pets considered” but PETS WELCOMED! We chose tile and stained concrete throughout the house which is not only beautiful but also easily cleaned. Leather sofas and chairs repel dog hair and no delicate décor is below tail level. Artificial grass front and back lawns are perfect for fetch sessions or agility training (jumps, weave, tunnel and teeter are available). There is a dog-door to our wrought iron fenced yard which provides secure fencing for pets to enjoy the top acre around the house. We’ve also field-fenced the perimeter of our 60-acre property so dogs can roam further off-leash. Miles of well-marked private hiking trails through the rolling hills (2200’ elevation) provide exciting deer, rabbit, turkey and other wildlife smells for your canines to explore with you. You can see the 6' wrought iron fence in the patio & hot tub photo with more photos and fence info on the Outdoor features page of our website. Our dogs’ favorite feature is the large 50’x70’ swimming pond complete with a dock where our dogs practice their dock diving. Yes, people can enjoy the hiking and swimming too, but we think it’s so much better with man’s best friend by your side! For additional human entertainment, we have a big 58”flat screen TV with satellite + Blu Ray DVD player + Netflix, a 48” Smart TV in the Rec Room, and a portable MP3/bluetooth/radio stereo so you can enjoy your music in any room. There’s wireless high-speed internet (aka WiFi) and a desktop computer for guests to use. In the loft, there is a bookcase full of books, puzzles and board games. Other indoor games include a ping-pong table, foosball and dart board. Outdoor games include a regulation width/height basketball court, horseshoe pit, football, Frisbee golf and bocce balls to play on the lawn. What guests rave about most though is our outdoor covered patios with hot tub and comfortable seating which provide a perfect place to watch the sun set over the neighboring vineyards, and then light up the fire pit and gaze at the stars while listening to the crickets chirp. If this sounds like the peaceful getaway you need, please contact us to make your reservation at the Dog & Pony Ranch! Location Keywords: Gold Country, Amador County, Sierra Foothills, Jackson, Sutter Creek, Pine Grove, Volcano, Pioneer, Kirkwood The NeighborhoodWhen you’re ready to venture off this wonderful 60-acre property, there is even more to do within a 15-60 minute drive including uncrowded Amador County wineries, winter skiing at Kirkwood, casino and shows at Jackson Rancheria, cave exploration, golf courses, many nearby lakes and rivers, antique shopping, gold and historical sites, and much more.
