Electric Forest Festival is an enchanting experience tucked away in a remote forest location in Rothbury, Michigan. If you’ve ever had the chance to attend, you know all about the musical journey that awaits.
It’s popularity has grown and, although the festival will expand to two weekends this year, Electric Forest 2017 promises to cut crowd size in order to maintain its rustic appeal.
No two days at the festival will be the same. Every day, every set, each weekend will provide an unforgettable and unique experience to festivalgoers.

The festival lineup is packed full of hundreds of your favorite artists—all of which promise to bring a unique listening experience to each performance.
Some headliners include The String Cheese Incident, Odesza, Flume, Above & Beyond, Dillon Francis, Breaking Biscuits, Lotus, A-Trak, and so many more.

The location of the festival might be a bit difficult to get to. The festival provides various options.
The shuttle price starts at $25 and all buses are equipped with air conditioning and comfortable seating. It picks up from all nearby major airports, including Muskegon Airport (MKG), Grand Rapids Airport (GRR) and Chicago’s O’Hare Airport (ORD).
Official festival buses will also be departing from New York, Detroit, Grand Rapids Greyhound Station and Chicago.

The festival will open up its rideshare forum for attendees who prefer to carpool to the event. Electric Forest focuses on sustainability and responsible tourism, so try to stay in line with these goals and share a ride.
Where to stay (+Wristbands)
The Forest Family offers a variety of options for tent and RV camping. All options include a parking pass for any drivers that are carpooling (note that any single occupant cars require an additional pass to encourage multiple riders).
Wristbands and camping or lodging packages are purchased together.
There are a range of camping and lodging options for the festival, depending on your style of accommodation.
This camp offers lots for those who plan to bring their own camping equipment and is where a majority of where the Forest Family stays for the 4-day experience.
Goodlife is a VIP camping area that offers exclusive access to special areas and early arrival. There is also an option to rent tents in this camp.
This is a private camping area consisting of tents, RVs and log cabins that sits adjacent to an outdoor water park. The Back 40 package receives some special perks, including lounge seating and secret events.
As the name states, this option offers luxury suites, concierge and a bountiful list of perks and amenities.

Note: A limit of 6 wristbands can be purchased at a time. Once a wristband is registered, you cannot change the registrant’s name. Children are allowed in the forest and require a wristband for ages 3+.
