Love to head-bang to heavy music? This year’s epic Rock on the Range festival is approaching and it’s the place for fans of heavy metal music to be!
Rock on the Range takes place in Columbus, Ohio. Spread over three days, this year’s killer line-up includes the likes of Metallica, KORN and The Offspring on the main stage.

Where to Stay for Rock on the Range
The festival’s Ohio Expo North Campground is a campsite near the festival, however if camping isn’t your thing, there is every type of room imaginable in Columbus, including couches to crash on and nearby hotels with a much needed hot shower.
Air – The nearest airport is Rickenbacker International Airport in Columbus, which is a 30 minute drive away from MAPFRE Stadium.
Official Shuttle – Rock on the Range and Bus.com are providing a shuttle from five major surrounding cities to the venue. Reserve your spot ahead of time.
Car – The recommended way to get to the stadium from Rickenbacker Airport is by car. The stadium is located off I-71, which is four miles north of downtown Columbus. You can take a taxi or rent a car and park at the site. Parking lots will be open from 8am-12am each day. More parking info will be available 4 weeks prior to the festival.
Rock on the Range Festival 2017 Tickets
A weekend field pass ticket is $249.50 per person and includes a place to pitch your tent. If you don’t want to camp, weekend entry tickets cost $169.50 and only include entry to the venue to watch the music.

This year’s epic lineup features the likes of KORN, Metallica, The Offspring, Sum41, Papa Roach, Thrice and Biffy Clyro.
Rock on the Range Pro Tips
While Rock on the Range is an all-ages show, the festival organizers encourage you to leave your kids at home.
Certain food and drink vendors don’t take card, so make sure you have enough cash to float your weekend.
The rules are pretty strict regarding bags- you can only bring in drawstring and cinch sack bags.
