Stunning fully self-contained mudbrick cottage. Luxury inclusions. 9min from CBD, full mobile coverage and wireless broadband available. Set in 30 acres overlooking city lights & Charles Sturt University winery. Ducted heating/cooling, spa bath, bbq. Redgum and ironbark, French doors, sun dried linen. Up to 6 guests plus infant. Short & long stay.
Little Bunda Cottages offer bespoke self-contained accommodation set in rolling paddocks overlooking the lights of Wagga and the Charles Sturt University winery and cellar door.
Featuring mudbricks and French doors, wide cool verandahs and polished timber floors with accents in redgum and ironbark, the style is quintessentially Australian.
Redgum furniture handcrafted by regional artisans is complemented by a gourmet kitchen in Tasmanian myrtle and applebox. Soaring raked ceilings and clerestry windows accentuate the 180° views of city lights and starry nights.
“The mudbrick cottage features high ceilings that give a wonderful sense of space to match the expanse of country it is nestled in. All the rooms open up to the outside. It is a delicious feeling lying in bed with the doors open and a fresh morning breeze caressing your face…” says Aurora Daniels of the Sunday Canberra Times.
Award-winning ground coffee, leaf tea and local organic licorice, handmade soaps for the spa, mohair throws and sundried linen all highlight the extraordinary quality throughout.
Little Bunda Cottages - come and stay with us in your very own escape to the country.
Booking terms and conditions for both cottages:
Please note there is a minimum booking of two nights for weekends and long weekends. Single night bookings mid-week subject to availability; Monday to Thursday.
We do not charge a tariff for children three years of age and under who use the portacot and bedding provided.
For bookings of seven (7) or more consecutive nights, a 10% discount applies, plus a mid-week full service is provided in which all bed linen, towels, toiletries, coffee and tea are also refreshed. A deposit of 50% of the total tariff is required to secure bookings of 7 or more consecutive nights.
Check in is from 3:00pm, check out is by 10:00am. Check in later than 8:00pm by arrangement only. Check out later than 10:00am will incur an additional night’s tariff.
We are also happy to provide hampers of breakfast provisions, additional to the tariff at AUD$15 per guest, if required.
The tariff is determined by the number of guests and the number of beds required. Neither cottage is equipped to take more guests than stated below; we regret that we cannot accept bookings nor the unexpected arrival of more guests than this. Likewise, beds used in addition to the confirmed tariff will be charged accordingly.
Our cancellation policy, as per our website, is as follows:
Please appreciate that unlike larger establishments with multiple rooms, the cottage is boutique accommodation for which a cancellation represents 100% loss of occupancy, which is very difficult to recover at short notice. Payment of a deposit accepts the following conditions.
The deposit is non-refundable.
For cancellations made within 14 days of arrival a fee of 50% of the total accommodation cost will apply (unless we are able to rebook). For cancellations made within 7 days of arrival a fee of 100% of the total accommodation cost will apply (unless we are able to rebook). Failure to arrive on the due date or cancelled days after arrival will be charged at 100%. For an unavoidable change in dates, the deposit will happily be transferred to the new dates – this is subject to availability and is valid for a period of three months from the original booking date.
As we are surrounded by working farms, Little Bunda Cottage is unable to welcome pets of any kind – we regret that no exceptions can be made. Rosewood Cottage is also unsuitable for pets. Dandaleith Boarding Kennels (ph: 0269 215 008) and Wagga Boarding Kennels (0269 285 512) both provide a quality accommodation service for travelling pets.
A romantic escape for couples, business professionals love the peace and quiet, and families adore the affordable luxury and space. We welcome children and love their enthusiasm for Gordon, Eeyore and the horses. We especially enjoy introducing our guests to the beautiful quality local and regional products that feature in our cottages.
Sample award-winning wines at Charles Sturt University's cellar door across the paddock, savour fine regional cuisine on the other side of our hill at Magpies Nest Restaurant, or go for a drive in the country and visit Green Grove Organic's chocolate and licorice factory down the road at Junee.
Don your best frock and fascinator for Fashions on the Field at the annual Wagga Gold Cup, pick up some local talent at Art on the Levee or how about the Wagga Farmers Markets for fresh produce, flowers and handmade soaps?
Wagga Wagga is mid-way between Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra on the Hume Highway; Regional Express and Qantas provide an easy one hour flight, and CountryLink rail has regular services.
