The SpaceThe space available is a detached cottage with a double bed, en-suite (shower, basin, WC) and tea/coffee making facilities. Guest AccessGuests are welcome to use the entire cottage, with access to the outdoor dining area, the pool and gardens/surrounding property where animals are kept. Interaction with GuestsWe are more than happy to welcome guests and pass on local knowledge and recommendations. We are a working family who travel to the CBD on weekdays and happy to provide some transport. There's no cooking facilities available as mid-week we're up and out to work, sorry. We provide fresh fruit and tea and coffee in the room. However, if you're staying at the weekend and we're home then we'd love for you to join us for breakfast of whatever we're having. The NeighborhoodWaimauku is a small town in the Auckland Region of New Zealand. Waimauku is approximately 4 kilometres west of Huapai on State Highway 16 at the junction with the road to Muriwai Beach. Formerly a farming and fruit-growing locality the area around Waimauku now features a number of wineries and an increasing suburban/lifestyle block population. We are also very close to the township of Kumeu - Kumeu is a small town 25 km north-west of the Auckland City centre in New Zealand. State Highway 16 and the North Auckland Line pass through the town. State Highway 16 is an alternative driving route north. The West Coast of Auckland is also close by with both Muriwai and Bethells beach a short drive away. Getting AroundRiverside is in a rural location, no local bus/ train services are available so you would need your own transport. However as mentioned we are a working family who travel to Auckland CBD during the week, so happy to give lifts in and out, and there are great bus services from Auckland Airport to Auckland CBD (see Airbus Express (website hidden)). Other Things to NoteIf you're staying at the weekend and we're home then we'd love for you to join us for breakfast of whatever we're having. But mid-week we're up and out and sorry, there's no cooking facilities available. We provide fresh fruit and tea and coffee in the room.
