The SpaceBeautiful, blue painted wood shingles, white and black trim and dark, gorgeous wooden floors await you in my humble home in Reading. The bedrooms boast an antique look, while the guest bathroom, of which you will have exclusive use, has a modern and bright stand-up shower, toilet and sink. The common areas include a modern eat-in kitchen and cozy carpeted family room on the ground floor.--In the summer months, you can enjoy a seat on the back patio either alongside the house or underneath a pergola covered in grape vines. Guest AccessYou'll have free access to all parts of the house with exception of the garage, master bedroom and master bathroom. Interaction with GuestsI am happy to refer guests to local stores and restaurants, provide guidance on getting around the area and in/out of Boston, or I can stay completely out of your hair. It is completely up to your personal preference. The NeighborhoodIn less than 10 minutes, you can walk to Reading's cute town center where you'll find a upscale restaurant and martini bar called the Venetian Moon or a cozy Irish pub called Bunratty's Tavern. For breakfast, in the same square, there's a fantastic bakery and a "mom and pop" place with your typical egg combos. Farther down toward the train station there are more cafes, restaurants and salons. I love that I can walk to all of these places and think you will too! Getting AroundA bus to Oak Grove T station (Orange Line) picks up and drops off directly in front of the house. The ride is about 25 minutes and then there's a 20 minute ride into Boston on the T from Oak Grove. The advantage is that this only costs $2.65. Alternatively, you can walk 15 min to the commuter rail station which will take you directly into North Station in Boston in less than 30 minutes. This is a $6.25 train ticket. Lastly, you have extremely easy access to various interstates and highways North-South and East-West for easy access to destinations such as Boston, Burlington, Salem, and Rockport, MA, and New Hampshire. Other Things to NoteAlthough no dogs live here full-time, I do sometimes have a friend's dog here. The dog stays exclusively downstairs in the living area and kitchen, not ever in the second living room or the upstairs guests areas!

Large dining area with long dining table and six chairs (4 more chairs in basement). Additional table and chairs available in the basement for holiday gatherings. VIZIO wireless TV in living room with wireless internet, ROKU, and netflix access. Xfinity hotspot reaches all rooms Oversized kitchen with appliances 1 year old. The NeighborhoodWalking distance to a beautiful lake, downtown restaurants. Getting AroundEasy access to both 93 and 95. 30 minutes to Boston, 35 minutes to Salem, MA. Very close to Melrose, Stoneham, Winchester, Reading, North Reading. Prefer not to drive? I live 2 blocks from the Wakefield commuter rail (Haverill line) giving you easy access to ride to downtown Boston and use the subway system to other destinations. Other Things to NoteI live here with my one dog, Tucker. He and I will NOT be here during your stay and my home will be professionally cleaned. However, if you have a severe dog allergy, it is good to know that a dog has been at this residence. Please help yourself to anything in the kitchen including spice rack, cooking oils/spices, fridge, freezer. Coffee, creamer, and continental breakfast items are always stocked. All linens and paper goods are provided. This is an excellent space to host a small holiday gathering for families. I have additional tables and chairs in the basement and the open layout works for gatherings up to 15. If you are always the family member traveling - consider this as a hotel alternative where you can be the host this year! Additional charge may be required. I have excellent recommendations for nearby catering which make hosting and serving easy and inexpensive.

Experience all that New England has to offer - I'm happy to share an itinerary that assists you with seeing Salem, Boston, P-Town, Martha's Vineyard, Nashoba Valley Winery, and more. Walk to a nearby is a lake that offers kayaking and canoeing. You are welcome to do laundry while you are here and use the full kitchen - cook extensive meals with my kitchenware. Feel free to use the backyard couches and sit under the Italian lights. Additional sleeping space for a third and/or fourth person is sometimes available on the living room couch for $20 per person/night. Couches are VERY comfortable and made into twin beds complete with all linens/towels. The living room closes off into it's own private bedroom. Beautiful and clean home with hardwood floors. Laundry and dryer down the basement stairs in my private unfinished basement. Plenty of on street parking available. Guest AccessYou will have your own private room with large closet and double bed. I have my own separate bedroom down the hall. We share a full bath, kitchen, and dining. Unless you reserve the living room for a 3rd or 4th person, I reserve the living area with TV for my own use while I'm home. Interaction with GuestsI am available to answer questions and help with emergencies. Other than that, I will be managing my own life of work, family, and friends in the local area. I may or may not sleep in the house. My small dog, Tucker & I may be around or stay with friends or family while you are here. The NeighborhoodBeautiful neighborhood by the commuter rail. Walk to the lake, MANY restaurants. Easy driving to grocery stores and all your needs. Getting AroundWe are very close to the commuter rail (I think it's about $7 for a one way ticket to Boston). Driving to Salem takes about 20 minutes and driving shopping/malls/restaurants within quick driving distant. Within walking into Boston takes 30 minutes. There is a beautiful lake near by and tons of distances, there are local restaurants and shops in Wakefield center. Other Things to NoteOne small dog, Tucker, who is 16 pounds lives here. He will either always be with me or in his crate while I am gone. He is friendly with all guests and children. Please do not take him out of his crate if I am not home. I don't expect Tucker to bark or cause you any issues. If you are interested, I'll show you his treats and his "shaker" which quiets him just in case he barks at you while you are home.

The SpaceThis is a large two-family home with spacious rooms. It is within walking distance to amenities, shops, transportation by train into Boston, and restaurants. It is conveniently located just off highways 95 and 93. Guest AccessYou will have access to the main house. There is a separate apartment. The main house has three bedrooms, an eat-in kitchen, living room, library and two renovated bathrooms. There is also off-street parking in a driveway. Interaction with GuestsI will make every effort to greet you when you arrive. If you arrive in the evening I will make sure that a key is accessible. I am available 24/7 for any questions you may have or problems that might come up. The NeighborhoodWakefield is a lovely little town. It is situated on a gorgeous lake that is ideal for walking and running. In the summer there is usually some kind of activity on the common, including pedal and row boats for rent. There is a small farmers market on weekends. Main Street is a five minute walk away. You will find restaurants and some funky consignment shops. Getting AroundThere is a MBTA station (train) within a 7 - 10 minute walk with a direct train into North Station. The house is approximately 15 miles from downtown Boston. Other Things to NoteI have provided some basic groceries to see you through your first morning. All linens and towels are provided. I would ask that you bring the garbage out to the bin when you leave.

    I have a beautiful 1 bedroom apartment that's available on a temporary basis, the place is fully furnished with wifi, 2 flat screen TV's one that is a smart TV they are both wall mounted. equipped with free netflix, google, apple TV with free internet access. bedroom has a nice closet, apartment has stove in the kitchen with fridge and microwave. clean and spacious for your stay in town. Why pay big money at the hotel when you can stay here at the fraction of the cost.
