The SpaceThis room at Hawks House Inn is on the ground floor of the cottage annex and has a private bath and kitchenette. This room has a queen size bed and a roll away bed can be added on request. The single bed in the description is the roll away bed. My roll away beds are brand new and quite comfortable. There is a small covered porch right in front with 2 chairs and a small table and the kitchenette has a dining table with 2 chairs. We can add more dining chairs if you like. All of our guests at Hawks House Inn may use any of the dining rooms, sitting rooms and screened in porches at the main Inn. Continental breakfast is served each morning in the dining room of the Inn. The parking spaces for this room is directly in front. This room does adjoin to room 6, (2 twin beds with private bath) if you are in the need for more room. If you are planning on staying for a week or longer, ask me for a deal! The bridge over the South Bristol Gut is an 8 mile drive, to the Pemaquid Beach is 9.5 miles and Pemaquid Lighthouse is 11.5 miles. Getting AroundTo get around the area you will need transportation. If you need a taxi you can contact us and we will let you know if we can help or you can call Twin Village Taxi in Damariscotta for availability and rates. Other Things to NoteWe try to be as green as we can here at Hawks House Inn; we recycle, compost, re-purpose and conserve resources whenever possible. You will find labeled containers in the kitchen/dining areas for recyclables, compost and trash. River access and deep water dock available for use, but no water craft provided. Ten minutes (by car) from Boothbay Harbor, Wiscasset and Damariscotta. This is the ideal Mid-Coast Maine getaway if you just want some time to yourselves.

        Pirate Point Cottage is a new log cabin in a sheltered cove on the Damariscotta River. Here you can explore the tidal brook, kayak, canoe, or swim. You can anchor your boat or beach it. The cabin has two bedrooms upstairs, an office/studio downstairs with a sleeping couch, a living room, kitchen, bathroom, and dining. There is also a large screened-in porch which serves as an extra room. The deck is perfect for grilling or sitting in the sun and relaxing. Although this is not an island, water surrounds you on 3 sides. From the charming walking bridge you can board your kayak and paddle out of the cove to the wider Damariscotta River. Many islands and inlets are here for exploration.

Lobsters and other seafood are available right on the wharf. The cottage itself sits below a field two hundred yards from a country road, seven miles south of the market town of Damariscotta. PLEASE NOTE: this property is only available on a weekly basis, renting Saturday to Saturday. No smoking is allowed.
