Getting AroundWalking distance to main street, 15 minute drive to Milawa/Oxley (or ride your bike along the bike track there) a 25 minute drive to Beechworth, Rutherglen & Chiltern, 50 minute drive to Bright and 1hr 30min drive to the snow! Not forgetting the great bike paths that follow around the Ovens River. The newly built river boardwalk with cafe's and restaurants and park close by is a highlight of Wang!

The SpaceCOUNTRY COTTAGE AT TAMINICK CELLARS & BLACK DOG BREWERY Located at the foot of the Warby Ranges National Park, this charming, weather board cottage at a family-run winery and brewery, will make for the perfect country weekend away. This fully furnished large cottage sleeps four people, a wonderful place for a couples retreat. Please note that this listing is for a maximum of four people. - There are two bedrooms, both spacious with queen size beds and all linen is provided (sheets, pillows, towels etc.) - One bathroom with spa bath and separate shower. - Undercover car parking for one vehicle but plenty of space for all vehicles else where. - Outside there is a fantastic deck that overlooks the vineyard, which is a must at sunset with a beer or wine in hand. - The recently renovated kitchen and the open plan living area make this an ideal place for self catering - especially with all the amazing fresh produce available in the North East region. However if cooking isn't your thing, there are plenty of great restauraunts and cafes in nearby towns that we would be happy to recommend. - A complimentary breakfast hamper will be provided for you during your stay. Our winery is approximately 20 minutes drive from Wangaratta and 10 minutes from the Glenrowan Hume Hwy exit. We have information regarding local hikes, winery and brewery trails and entertainment in the North East if you are interested in getting out and about, otherwise you can sit back and enjoy the tranquility of your own private cottage. The best part about our place is that you have our winery and brewery, and beautiful scenery, right at your door step. We also hold different events throughout the year, including festivals with live music and all-inclusive winery dinners. The NeighborhoodThe neighborhood is safe and diverse, with a variety of units and family homes. Due to the winding nature of street we tend only to get local traffic. We are only a short walk from Wareena Oval, local bike tracks, train station and the Olympic Pool. A comfotable walk into town by streets and or bike and walking trail. There is a town bus stop nearby. Local taxis are available. Regional bus and trains are easly accessible for travelling around the North East. Getting AroundEasy walking distance to shops, cafes and the outdoor swimming pool. The Bus stop is just around the corner. A realiable taxi service is also available. There are regional buses and trains travelling to other towns around the scenic north east. There is a Fantastic shared bike and walking path around town following the creek. For those who enjoying a longer bike ride, there is also a bike trail linking towns around the north east. The house offers couples a choice of two bedrooms/bathrooms and the remainder of the house is for guests use only for the entire stay. The two queen bedrooms enable a couple or two couples travelling together to enjoy this secluded tranquil accommodation. Guest AccessGuests can choose one of the two bedrooms and the house is otherwise theirs completely. There is a paved barbeque area and a large shaded garden within the house perimeter. Interaction with GuestsGuests are usually met at the house on arrival for a true country welcome! Any recommendations regarding tourist attractions and restaurants are happily shared. The NeighborhoodMount Pleasant Homestead is set in a secluded position on the family farm, surrounded by shady trees. This tranquil setting is a haven for some beautiful native birds. Getting AroundWe are approx. 10 minutes from Wangaratta and guests require their own transport. There is ample parking at the house. Other Things to NoteThe listed price is for one couple only, during the week. Prices are: Mon- Thurs; one couple $265, two couples $400. Fri-Sun - one couple $295- two couples $430. If two people travelling together wish to use both bedrooms, the tariff is $180 per person, per room, per night. This includes provisions for a full cooked breakfast, left in the house for our guests.

The SpaceWe hope you enjoy the design elements that make this room unique. The studio is a recent addition to an existing 70s home. It is a spacious, light-filled room to which we've added some bespoke features. You will have privacy and space to relax indoors and out. A split system air conditioning unit ensures warmth in winter and cool summer days (well inside anyway!). Guest AccessWe will provide you with a continental breakfast so be sure to let us know if you have any preferences or dietary requirements. Seasonal fruit may also be available. We provide a mattress on the floor for an additional guest. Let us know when booking and we'll sort this out. Wifi and electric blanket now provided. Corner shop a very short walk. We have set up a food preparation area with toaster, kettle and microwave. Hopefully you will have everything you'll need for breakfast or light meals. If you require kitchen or washing facilities you can have access to the kitchen and laundry in the house. We are pleased to share this space with you. We have two bikes/helmets and a lock for you to borrow. Enjoy the local bike paths. This is an easy and relaxed way to get into town for coffee and food. The NeighborhoodOur home is located in a regional country town of 27,000 people and has all the expected community facilities to support this population. In addition Wangaratta has easy access to bike touring, a wide range of wineries and gourmet food for which North East Victoria is well known. We are located 5 minutes drive from central Wangaratta. This is a pleasant and safe suburban location with easy access to adjacent parklands, sporting facilities, YMCA and indoor pool, bike/walking paths or skate park. The private and public hospital are also very close-by e.g. 5 & 15 minute walk respectively. In addition there is a local corner store just around the corner....! Restaurants - only minutes away by car, or if you'd like a walk (approx. 20 min) or bike ride (approx. 8 min) on the shared path that crosses the Ovens river via 2 magnificent suspension bridges you will arrive at the river precinct, fast becoming a food mecca. Great coffee shops, George's and Derailleur cafés, in our opinion, vi for the best coffee in town, you decide. You will need to walk, drive or ride to these but very quick and easy. In the winter ski fields are 1.5 hours away and these same mountains provide wonderful activity options at other times of the year. Bike paths connect nearby towns e.g. The Rail trail to Bright and Beechworth, and the Wangaratta bike paths will easily connect you to nearby wine and gourmet villages. We like the - local Wangaratta Farmers Market held monthly at Apex park - performances offered at the Wangaratta Performing Arts centre - exhibitions at the Galleries - the Jazz Festival in November - the local wine, ales and food festivals - the local bush walking tracks - Retro shopping, we have a couple of amazing retro/vintage shops that will take you back in time...quite Getting AroundWangaratta is three hours drive north east of Melbourne and 40 minutes from Albury/Wodonga. Canberra is a four hour trip up the Hume. It is only a few minutes off the Hume Freeway that is the main motorway connecting Melbourne and Sydney. Regular daily train and bus services connect it to all major cities in the country. Car travel is easy around town, no peak hour here! Taxi's are available and the bus stop is conveniently located 100 metres from the house. Let us know your plans and we may be able to help out with transport. Local bike trails start around the corner from the house, literally out the driveway, turn right and you'll be on it. Walking into town on these same trails is a nice way to get to town or to the train station. It will take a 20 min walk to town and 15 min to the train station. Other Things to NoteWe value our environment and health, and want to reduce our footprint on this precious earth so you may notice that: - we recently added wifi - we have used some interesting salvaged materials in our apartment, that create a style without compromising on comfort, - where possible we use Australian, environmentally friendly and ethical products when preparing the apartment for your stay like "Who gives a crap" toilet paper, "Abode" healthy home products", - we are trying to reduce our waste through reducing packaging, recycling and sorting waste, composting and so on. - we have some fruit trees e.g. Mandarins, lime, lemon, grapefruit, grow some herbs e.g. parsley, mint, rocket, bay tree, lemongrass, garlic, rhubarb and leafy greens on our plot. While you stay feel free to wander around the garden and sample if you desire.

The SpaceThis two bedroom apartment is light and airy, with comfortable lounge room, your own large, private balcony with a green leafy vista, outdoor table and chairs. There is a kitchenette with a microwave, frige . It is a very quiet neighbourhood, we have a great cafe culture , wineries, Resturants, bike trails, bush walking and history in our region to name a few. This charge of $150- is for one couple only for an extra couple it is an extra $100 per night, second room can only be booked with the first room. Please note there is no breakfast provided. Guest AccessGuests have their own private entry. Interaction with GuestsGwen & Bruce live downstairs, the apartment is located upstairs,the two are totally separate.We are of course happy to interact with our guests, though it is up to you. The NeighborhoodIt is a very quiet neighbourhood, we have great cafe culture, wineries, restaurants, bike trails, bush walking trails and history in our region to name a few. Getting AroundThe bus stop is around the corner otherwise there is a taxi service. We are only a 10 min walk from the town centre. Other Things to NoteThe extra $100 is for extra room that sleeps 2 people, NOT $100- per extra person as noted in pricing ( this system will not allow ). The SpaceIt is a cosy cottage in a quiet bush setting. Very attractive to bird watchers, walkers, cyclists and wine lovers as there are many vineyards nearby. Much of the bush is protected under wildlife covenant. A good place to relax and soak up the "serenity".     Our cottage is situated 280km. north of Melbourne of the Hume Highway. This well appointed cottage is at the rear of our own home and is fully fitted with all requirements for a long or short stay. There is a private outdoors swimming pool and a tennis court provided. Wangaratta is situated in the middle of the North East and as such is close to ski fields, 400 metres to bike tracks, 100 metres from the first hole of the Wangaratta Gold Course and 4km. to the city centre of Wangaratta. This is the ideal accommodation for the couple seeking to get away from it all. It is a beautiful area, especially in autumn when the leaves are changing color. As mentioned, our cottage is 4km. from the city of Wangaratta and as such is ideal accommodation for winery events, the famous Wangaratta Jazz Festival in late October and sports events that arise from time to time.

Our visitors enjoy panoramic views of Mt. Buffalo from the garden, living room and spacious verandah. Guests may walk through our garden gate to Warby-Ovens National Park. Two acres of this country property is a native garden designed and planted by the late Jill Rossiter, a local field naturalist, amateur botanist and bird observer. Many of the garden's plants were propagated from seed collected by her on her travels to Western Australia. Guest AccessGuests can access the whole property including the deck and the gardens surrounding the cottage. Interaction with GuestsWill be available if anything is needed, however guests have the property to themselves and complete privacy. The NeighborhoodThe cottage is situated in the Glenrowan and Taminick wine region. Less than 20 minutes away is Oxley for your morning papers and a coffee. Close by is the Milawa district, famous for world class wines, gourmet food and fresh produce. A range of quality restaurants and cafes are only a short drive away. Cycling in the region is popular and there are many great road rides or mountain biking in some areas of the Warby-Ovens National Park. The Wangaratta-Glenrowan Loop and Taminick Gap ride are favourites with local and visiting riders. For the hiker or birdo you can set off through our back gate and enter the Warby-Ovens National Park or walk along the tree-lined rural lanes from the front gate. Climb ‘Jill’s Hill’ at the rear of Kurringai Cottage! Getting AroundPrivate transportation is required as there is no public transport in the area. This home is situated 230 km from Melbourne, 20 minutes drive to Wangaratta and 15 minutes drive to the historic town of Glenrowan where bushranger Ned Kelly made his last stand. Follow the Ned Kelly touring route. Other Things to NoteAs this property is located next to a national park there is a fire risk during hot summer months. Ideal for the overseas visitors. Many have oohed and ahhed. Free range chooks and ducks supply eggs while a large garden supplies fresh vegies and fruit which you are able to graze upon. We have a cosy and self contained cabin seperated from the main house with private ensuite and we can also accomodate another couple within the house in a queen sized room with private bathroom. Great for those who travel with friends. A truly great find if you are wanting something quiet but with all the mod cons. Guest AccessLarge spacious garden with many areas to sit and relax in. A self contained deck area with BBQ, spa, day bed and outside under cover relaxing area.The exclusive use of a large inside lounge with tv, stereo , leather lounges and open fire.....ideal for relaxing or reading . There are some stunning walks from starting from the back door and Jill and Pete are very happy to recommend local walks or cycle tracks. As we are 20 minutes from Wangaratta, many of our guests prefer to eat with us. We provide a relaxed, home cooked meal with freshly baked bread and great conversation. Our property is an ideal stop over for those travelling between Melbourne and Sydney or Canberra. Wangaratta is only 15 minutes away, Albury 30 minutes, 15 to Rutherglen and 1 hour to Yarrawonga etc. A very central position. We are surrounded by farming land with an organic dairy just below us. We have a large dam where we yabby in season....yum. Getting AroundOur property is 3.5 ks from the Hume Highway. The main Melbourne/Sydney train stops 6 km. away and a bus runs from Melbourne to Sydney and Canberra from Wangaratta. Planes fly into Albury and car hire is available from there.....about 45 minutes away. Hire car facilities are available locally and a taxi service is also available. Limo rides around the wineries are also available. To get the most from this area, private transport is highly recommended. Other Things to NoteThe area boasts a great variety of places to visit and activities to participate in. Wine trails, gourmet food, bike trails, historic towns such as Beechworth, Chiltern, Rutherglen and Beechworth are all features of this great region. The local towns are great for shopping and have cinemas as well as a variety of other activites to keep people busy or just snoop around. For those who like walking or fishing, visiting the snow or just driving through pristine country, then the N E of Victoria is the place to be.

Warby Cottage is a fully self-contained one bedroom cottage, with a queen size bed and ensuite. All linen is provided, including the comfort of electric blankets and extra pillows! The lounge area is bright and spacious, with a relaxing sofa and arm chairs. There is a T.V. and DVD player, reverse cycle, along with an iPod docking station. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooking facilities, table and chairs. A continental breakfast is provided on arrival for you to enjoy at your convenience.         The SpaceJust a ten minute drive from the town-centre, the B&B offers a comfortable queen-sized bed (linen included), full en-suite, a stocked kitchen (including microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster). The room has full heating and cooling, a TV, a DVD player and a stereo system. It also has a small patio area, with outdoor furniture and a BBQ. The B&B is close to the Ovens River, bike road trials (our bikes are available to borrow!), the Boorhaman Pub, and the Vine Hotel. The NeighborhoodThe Twisted Willows is in a prime location for easy travel to wineries, cheese factories, national parks, rivers, lakes and golf courses. Getting AroundThe nearest train station is in Wangaratta and we could meet you there if that is how you wish to travel. We will have local information ,maps, etc for your perusal and use. Other Things to NoteWe are situated just off Great Alpine Rd, , approx. 55 to Bright. Rutherglen wineries also within an hours drive. We are surrounded by farmland so if it is peace you want this is the place for you. We have a large home with five bedrooms but only two available for a couple or a small family.               The Springhurst Butter Factory, built in 1893, is an accommodation delight to suit couples, families or groups. Centrally located in the middle of North East Victorian, it is a perfect venue for holiday or just for a relaxed overnight stay. Situated on three-and-a-half acres of gardens, it is a lovely place to sit back an unwind. The kids can feed the chooks or have a run around and play. There are two units at the rear of the building with there own private garden area. There are also two large bunk rooms that can sleep 15 people. Situated just one kilometre from the Hume Highway and handy to the local railway station, it is a great location. An easy drive up the freeway or jump off the train or bus, as Springhurst Butter Factory are walking distance from the railway station. This is ideal venue for events in Rutherglen, Wangaratta, Winton or Beechworth. Bike hire is also available as Springhurst Butter Factory is right in the middle of some great bike riding country - a perfect venue for cycling groups.
