Or you could catch a train to Wynyard Station and then the L85 bus direct to the house from outside of the Menzies hotel in the city. This would best suit those with limited luggage. The SpaceFitted and furnished in 2014, tastefully and simply decorated, a light, clean and comfortable space separate from the main house. This lovely granny flat/apartment boasts a clean kitchen just fitted in Jul/Aug2014, with island bench top dining. Fully equipped with gas stove/oven, under counter fridge with small freezer compartment, microwave, kettle & toaster. Entire flat is open plan with exception to the bathroom. Kitchen opens to lounge/tv area with a click-clack single sofabed (different from photos), and bedroom area with a queen size wall bed and standard wardrobe. Bathroom is pristine with shower, toilet and basin, and a washing machine. Flat opens to small landing with your own outdoor table & chairs. The place comfortably sleeps 2 people, however the living room sofa bed allows an additional person/s, for consideration. Car park space available. Guest AccessShared access to heated pool and garden. Garden has BBQ and dining area, hammocks are available for your use, for the children- there is a cubby house and trampoline. Shared laundry facilities- washing machine, clothes dryer and outdoor clothesline. Note: Swimming pool not operational during winter season. The NeighborhoodThere's a lot to love about where we live. We believe we have a bit of the best of everything all within a stone's throw away... For the nature lovers- There are some stunning beaches in the northern beaches area, North Narrabeen being one of them! It's so good even the Beach Boys sang about it (see lyrics for Surfin' USA)! It's not only known for its fantastic surf, it has a great ocean pool, and next to the pool is a marine reserve. Then, we have the Narrabeen lakes and surrounding parklands which are fantastic to walk & cycle around, fish & picnic by or to canoe, kayak & paddle-board on. There are countless parks and play areas for the kiddies, some great dog parks too. There are boardwalk wetland walks right next to our local shopping centre no less and, we even have a nature reserve complete with waterfall (depending on rain of course) practically around the corner. For convenience- We're closely located to cafés, shops & markets. Warriewood Centro shopping centre is the closest main shopping area. The main area of Narrabeen is another shopping hub and can also be reached on foot. We have the Beaches market at Pittwater Rugby Park on every Friday, offering plenty of organic produce, and every 3rd Sunday of the month the Berry Reserve/Narrabeen Lakes market. There are an abundance of cafe's, restaurants and shops jotted about the immediate area, so plenty of browsing and good eating if you don't feel like cooking. And all the above is only what's just within walking radius! Then you've still to consider the rest of the Northern Beaches to explore plus our beautiful city of Sydney...just ask us for more info. People here are chilled, relaxed and friendly... All in all, it's a pretty nice part of the world. Getting AroundWe are situated approximately 40kms/45mins drive from Sydney airport and 30kms/30mins drive from Sydney city CBD...longer with traffic. We highly recommend having a car as a main means of transport to fully explore the area and its surrounds, especially if your time with us is limited. If you do have more time though and/or if exploring within the vicinity- cycling, walking and hiking are ideal ways to discover the beauty of the area. Buses are the main form of public transportation here in the northern beaches. There is a bus stop pretty much outside the granny flat which has regular services travelling between Mona Vale and Narrabeen via Warriewood Centro shopping centre. The stop also has added (but limited) services to the city in the mornings and returning from the city in the evenings. To add, Pittwater road is just a short walk down (refer to house location map), giving you all other main bus routes between Palm beach and the Sydney city CBD, including Chatswood and North Sydney. Buses from Pittwater Rd to Sydney CBD take approximately 1 hour. Also, there are buses from Narrabeen which can take you into Manly and then from here, one can catch a ferry to/from the city...a must to experience. The ride will leave you breathless in any type of weather! If you're with us for a bit, we highly recommend you at least do it once... Other Things to NoteFeel free to let us know of your interests, what you wish to see or experience during your stay with us and we can plan in advance or suggest a few things for you... Whether it be a yoga class on the beach or paddle boarding on the lake, surfing lessons, suggesting bike trails or hiking trails, etc. We'd be more than happy to help...

The SpaceBeautiful, light, sunny, peaceful apartment looking out to treetops. Level entry with parking and 30 metres to city transport, local shopping centre and childrens park. Waterfall and wetlands reserve creek walk is in 2 different directions starting 5 houses away. 20 minutes walk to nearest surf beach. This is the large upstairs house, there is a seperate sandstone 3 bedroom apartment underneath and a cottage further down the property, all on 1100 sqm of grass and garden open to reserve park and creek. House is on top level with its own parking area, private courtyard and sunny balcony. Large kitchen, bathroom and 50sqm living area along with 4 comfortable bedrooms. The apartment has wireless internet and timber floors throughout. PLEASE NOTE: **There is also a lovely cottage on the property and other rental options next door if you have a family group wanting to stay near each other. **We can also help coordinate special tours 3 hrs north of Sydney for a Golf/Beach retreat stay for a few of your nights or as an extension of your visit to Australia. Guest AccessYou will have sole and direct street access to the parking in the front of the property and the private courtyard that can be locked. If you would like to wander to the reserve and creek at the bottom of the property please email or call for access details once here. We are in the process of creating a large entertaining area at the bottom of the property. Alternatively if you are wanting an 'Aussie' at home cultural experience let us know and we can facilitate a 'barbecue package' or beach trip including 'summer bay' tour to Palm beach and ferry to the Ettalong markets and cinema on the beautiful Central Coast north of Sydney. We can also coordinate hair and make up pampers on a boat in the Pittwater at Newport. Taxi from the airport is between $100-$170 however it is worth looking into Northern beaches aIrport shuttle options which may work out more economical. Car hire is an option with about a 45 minute drive north to the beaches - along the way you will see the Opera House and drive across the famous Harbour Bridge. Alternatively a train can be caught direct from the airport and we can arrange pickup from Chatswood or Gordon Station on Sydneys North Shore for $60 per group of 4 however the train fare will likely have already cost $15 per person. Or you could catch a train to Wynyard Station and then the L85 bus direct to the house from outside of the Menzies hotel in the city. This would best suit those with limited luggage. We have a very extensive selection of books, dvds, videos and games for those rainy days or for those who find just lying around a perfect holiday.

The SpaceCompletely self contained and fully furnished cottage featuring separate double bedroom with double bed and wardrobe. Bathroom has walk in shower. Combined lounge / kitchen / diner and small deck. Television with Foxtel. Perfect for one or two people. Kitchen includes washing machine, full size fridge freezer, full size oven / hob, microwave and coffee maker. Kitchen is fully kitted out with everything you could need for your stay. Also included; iron and ironing board, toiletries, complementary tea / coffee. Linen and towels are provided, just bring your beach towels. We are fortunate enough to be currently displaying beautiful art in the cottage by local Pittwater artist Helen Mackay. Guest AccessYour hosts occupy the main house on the same block and will share the front entrance gate. Please note that we do not have street frontage. We are tucked away up a footpath (20metres). You will need to walk up a footpath to get to our property and then to the back garden. This is a short walk and we will always help guests with their luggage if we're here. We do not have off street parking. If you are driving, parking is on the street. Interaction with GuestsWe will always meet and greet our guests whenever possible. We are here if you need us, but will leave you in peace for your stay. We have lots of recommendations for things to do so just ask if you need any ideas! The NeighborhoodMona Vale is a great holiday destination with beautiful beaches and a relaxed feel. Situated approximately half way between Manly and Palm Beach we're in the heart of the Northern Beaches. The cottage is located around twenty minutes walk to a large shopping centre. There is a small selection of cafes and restaurants within walking distance on the cliff top at Warriewood which is five minutes walk from our property. Within 10 minutes drive just a little further afield there are many restaurants and bars to cater for every taste. Also within walking distance is Mona Vale Beach, Mona Vale Golf Club and Mona Vale hospital. Getting AroundThere is a regular bus service which runs north to Palm Beach and South to Manly or the City. Buses run frequently and are located about 1 minute walk from our property. You will need an Opal card to travel on the buses. If you do not have one already, we have some you can borrow. You can also reach the city by water - by catching the 155 bus from outside our property to Manly, and then the Manly ferry to Circular Quay - travelling by water is the best way to get around Sydney and we highly recommend it. Note that there is no train service to the Northern Beaches. Other Things to NoteYour hosts occupy the main house on the same block and will share the front entrance gate. Guest AccessYour room and bathroom is sparate but you have access to the kitchen, living room, play room and the outside bbq area and the garden. Interaction with GuestsWe have had business people stay with us over the years so often have great discussions over dinnr or a glass of wine. Additionally, you can close the door to your area and have complete privacy. The NeighborhoodWe have a beautiful lagoon and a local beach within walking distance. Walking/running tracks through the wetlands where one can visit the local waterfall (albeit small!). There are some lovely restaurants and cafes within walking distance and for children the area is easy to ride around as we are on flat ground. A busy area in the day but quiet at night. Getting AroundTransport to the city and more northern beaches is within a 4 minute walk. Other Things to NoteWe do have a rescue dog named Boston who is friendly and loving towards children. He is an inside/outside dog with a big personality. He is used to not having access to your part of the home (as are my children). Being a local mum and traveller, I can assist with helping you find whatever it is you need be that childcare, airport transfers, tips on shopping, local activities. I do work so I am not home during business hours but I am contactable during the day.

The SpaceEnjoy that new home feeling! Everything in our recently completed one bedroom house is brand new! We are an easy walk to the beach and shopping center and also live in a very quiet neighbourhood. Being elevated we have ocean breezes drifting through making summer very comfortable. Express/limited stop buses help you get to the city faster during peak hour. Other Things to NoteYou will enjoy your own parking space. There is a walkway at the end of the street for quick access to the beach.

The NeighborhoodAwesome location: 4-5 mins walk to beautiful Warriewood Beach where you will find cafes, surfing, restaurants and a children's play park. Or you can walk 20 mins to famous Narrabeen to get in the surf of splash in the lake where you will find bars, restaurants and also a great rock pool for the swimming fan. Shopping is close-by at Warriewood Square about 20 minutes walk from the house (or 3-4 minutes with car), where you have the most common shops (Coles/Woolworth/K-Mart/banks, news agency, fashion clothing, banks, food courts etc) . Or for more serious shoppers, take the bus to Warringah Mall (Westfield shopping centre) a mere 20 minutes drive towards Manly. Getting AroundWith a car you will reach Sydney downtown in around 30 minutes. Sydney Opera House near Circular Quay, a walk around The Rocks or wander around in Darling Harbour. If you prefer not to spend time and money on parking the car, take the direct-bus to CBD or do the iconic ferry via Manly. On your 'bucket list' you must put to take the Manly ferry home from Circular Quay at time of sunset and snap the best Sydney photos of the Opera house, the bridge and Sydney city skyline. Once in Manly jump on bus 155 or 156 back to Warriewood. Other Things to NoteThere will be a dedicated manager for the place while we are away with 24x7 number to call. There is a driveway and carport so you may have up to four cars off-street parking. (please let us know if you need to rent a car. maybe we can help out...)

Both of which have ferry access to either ettalong on the central coast of Sydney or the harbour , zoo, eastern suburbs and other attractions from manly.
