A beautiful sail or kayak away.(kayak included) Dock access around the bend from house. And the town of Bridgehampton a short bike ride away as well. Shops,restaurants and the Jitney stop! Guests have complete access to every room in the house, with only two locked owner's closets. Interaction with GuestsThe house belongs to the guests for the time period they are renting. We are available of course if there are any questions or problems- but we are not at the house otherwise. The NeighborhoodOur neighborhood is quaint, friendly. High hedges surround the house though if complete privacy is what you're after. Around the bend is the dock for access to Mecox Bay.

That said, it is only 4 miles to the nearest beach, Flying Point... with its pristine sand beaches and adjacent fresh water pond and bird sanctuary. Tennis, bicycling, health clubs, water sports, day camps and sports and art programs for children, movie theaters are all available nearby. Southampton Village is 5 miles away. There are excellent live theater and entertainment offerings in the historic whaling village of Sag Harbor (6 miles) or in East Hampton,(10 miles). Farm stands with local produce, gourmet markets, Art Galleries, designer shops, gourmet dining and family restaurants can be found in every nearby village from Southampton to Bridgehampton to Montauk. Getting AroundIf you are coming from New York City by car or by Hampton Jitney or Luxury Liner, Water Mill is 45 minutes or more ..closer than East Hampton and Villages further East. Buses between NYC and The Hamptons run practically non-stop from 5 AM to late evening. There is also transfer service from NYC Airports to the Hamptons. There is limited taxi service between towns but a CAR IS A NECESSITY. ( There is ample parking for our guests' cars on the property). Ask about CAR availability. The house is also a 5 minute drive from a great quiet sand beach. The Southampton Omni is a 5 minute taxi ride away, and is the station for the hampton jitney shuttle bus to NYC. LIRR is also a 5 minute drive from the house.

The SpaceOur home is a very well appointed four bedroom, two bath, air conditioned vacation home which is situated on over an acre of well landscaped property and offers stunning views of Sam’s Creek and Mecox Bay as well as the surrounding area. Because the house is elevated (on stilts; all on the second floor), you can enjoy the amazing views while relaxing outside on the fully equipped deck or inside thanks to magnificent floor to ceiling windows. The spacious lawn allows ample room for all sorts of outdoor activities or take the canoe out for a cruise on Mecox Bay. The house is a five minute walk to the ocean and is an ideal getaway providing all the amenities of home in a charming and relaxing atmosphere. We try to stock the fridge with basic foods bread, butter, eggs and more. Our pantry is often stocked with spices, coffee, tea, olive oil and more. You are welcome to use any of these items. There are plenty of clean sheets, towels and more. We provide a beautiful customized canvas tote for you to use during your stay and to take home. Guest AccessTHE BEACH, THE OCEAN, THE DOCK, THE CANOE, THE PEACE AND THE PRIVACY. Interaction with GuestsWe stay in active touch with you and ensure that your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. Please note that this house is a cottage abutting a bay (with a dock) and very close to the beach and ocean. The house, a Bauhaus design, was built in the late 50's. You may experience bugs inside the house due to imperfect door closing, failure to close the screens properly or for other reasons. There are screens on all windows and sliding doors. There are spider webs outside the home. We frequently clear the webs, but they are rebuilt quickly. So please expect cobs webs outside and even occasionally inside (they are sneaky little buggers). Rental Agent shall use its best efforts to ensure the operation of all amenities in the Property, such as internet access, cable TV access or pool & wood burning stive as applicable. Rental Agent shall not be held responsible for such items failure to work, but will make every effort to correct any issues as reported as quickly as possible. Guest acknowledges that use of amenities such as pools, spas, fireplaces, decks, and the like may be potentially dangerous and involve potential risks if improperly used, particularly with regard to children and such use is at the Guest’s own risk. Guest shall use the Property for residential purposes only and in a careful manner to prevent any damage or loss to the Property and keep the Property in clean and sanitary condition at all times. Guest and any additional permitted guests shall refrain from loud noise and shall not disturb, annoy, endanger, or inconvenience neighbors, nor shall Guest use the Property for any immoral, offensive or unlawful purposes, nor violate any law, association rules or ordinance, nor commit waste or nuisance on or about the Property. RISK OF LOSS AND INDEMNIFICATION Guest agrees that all personal property, furnishings, personal affects and other items brought into the Property by Guest or their permitted guests and visitors shall be at the sole risk of Guest with regard to any theft, damage, destruction or other loss and Rental Agent shall not be responsible or liable for any reason whatsoever. Guest hereby covenants and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless property owner and their agents, owners, successors, employees and contractors from and against any costs, damages, liabilities, claims, legal fees and other actions for any damages, costs, attorneys fees incurred by Guest, permitted guests, visitors or agents, representatives or successors of Guest due to any claims relating to destruction of property or injury to persons or loss of life sustained by Guest or family and visitors of Guest in or about the Property and Guest expressly agrees to save and hold Rental Agent harmless in all such cases. RELEASE Guest hereby waives and releases any claims against Rental Agent, the Property owner and their successors, assigns, employees or representatives, officially or otherwise, for any injuries or death that may be sustained by Guest on or near or adjacent to the Property, including any common facilities, activities or amenities. Guest agrees to use any such facilities or amenities entirely at the Guest’s own initiative, risk and responsibility.
