The SpaceThis is the downstairs suite in my house. Whoever rents this gets the whole downstairs for the price of a bedroom! The bedroom has a comfy queen bed. There is a private bathroom, as well as a little kitchenette (sink, fridge, toaster oven, microwave, and hot plate). There's also a big room with couches, desk, TV (DVD only), and dining table. This big room has sliders that open onto the deck facing the conservation land behind the house. This suite of rooms has one of the three bedrooms available in the house. There is also an upstairs twin and an upstairs queen which share a bathroom. Following is the description of the house and rooms. Have available 2 sunny bedrooms next to each other, one w/ queen, other w/ twin, sharing full bath. Also have downstairs suite with bedroom, private bath, kitchenette and big room opening to garden. Rent one-three bedrooms. Walk to train going to Boston. Price depends on number of rooms rented. Lots of privacy, whether in the upstairs rooms (the twin room or the queen) or in the downstairs suite of rooms, even though there is no private entrance. You will be at the other end of the house from the host. Some rooms overlook the conservation forest behind the house. It's easy to walk to the commuter rail or up to Highland Ave, where you find Starbucks, Trader Joe, restaurants, bank and the bus to the Green Line. There is also parking available on my driveway. Guests in the downstairs suite have several rooms to themselves--bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette and family room. Guests in the bedrooms upstairs have a bathroom to themselves and are welcome to sit in my library/den, where I have my TV. If the downstairs suite is not rented, they are free to use the big downstairs family room with TV/DVD player. My own life is busy, but I am happy to share some tea and conversation and to tell guests anything they need to know about the Boston area. I've lived here for thirty years and am very enthusiastic about metro Boston. I live in a totally safe neighborhood, and I love the fact that the commuter rail is only three blocks away, as well as the bus to the Green Line and amenities like Trader Joe, Starbucks, restaurants, bank, CVS, and so on. I am thrilled to be backing onto conservation land--forested--full of geese and bluebirds. Needham is ideally located for exploring the city of Boston, rural towns and many historic towns, such as Concord and Lincoln, to the west of Needham. Note: Babson College is within walking distance in good weather. I am also convenient to Wellesley College. The commuter rail into Boston is 3 blocks away, as is the bus to the Green Line, and if guests have a car, they can park on my driveway. Getting onto Route 128 takes less than 5 minutes, and the drive into Boston takes less than half an hour. There is a friendly cat who probably will visit guests. Guest AccessDownstairs suite, which is complete in itself, Wi-Fi, parking on the driveway, and a great seat on the back deck overlooking the forested conservation land (if the weather allows!) Getting AroundIt's a ten minute walk up to the 59 bus, and in ten more minutes, the bus takes you to the D Green Line train. Then you are interconnected with the entire MBTA Subway system. It's also just a few blocks to the Needham Commuter Rail, which goes to Back Bay and downtown. This train runs during the week and even runs late into the evening, but it does not run on the weekends.

The SpaceThis is next to one of Wellesley's historic homes and was built by the original owner as a home for one of his children. It is surrounded by trees and wide open spaces. There is a very pretty garden, lots of great streets and walking trails. My home is cozy and comfortable, very clean and neat, furnished with artwork, antiques and modern handcrafted furniture, books and comfy sofas. Guest AccessThis should feel like a home-away-from-home, so there is a library area with a Le Corbusier chair that you can lounge on outside your bedroom while reading. There is a desk and chair in your room as well as television, hairdryer in the desk. High speed wireless. There is complimentary soap and shampoo. Toothpaste, toothbrush, etc. are all available if you forget yours and at the supermarket marked price. You are welcome to use the kitchen, stove, oven and microwave - please clean up after. You can eat on the deck overlooking a long, pretty garden surrounded by trees. Or you can eat at the breakfast counter in the kitchen, or at the dining room table. Or at a very pretty table in the garden, and if the weather is good and you want to read on the lounger, or just snooze, go ahead. Breakfast is 7.30am to 8.30am weekdays & 8am to 9am weekends. Complimentary tea and coffee is available for you to make your own. Please feel free to relax on the living room sofas. It also has tourist guidebooks. Let me know if there is something you are particularly interested in and if I can I will find out that information for you. The NeighborhoodWellesley is a beautiful town of historic schools and colleges, elegant shopping and dining. It has a strong environmental ethos, so here you will find high trees, and a community with the best recycling in the country, as well as a commitment among many to mindful energy use, no pesticides, etc. There are great walking and bike trails. It is exceptionally safe so walking at night is no problem. Getting AroundMy home is half a mile from Wellesley Hills rail station (commuter rail). It is in walking distance of Babson, Wellesley College, Olin, restaurants & stores. The community is popular with bikers. Uber is used in Wellesely as well as a variety of cab companies, all of which serve Greater Boston too. If you bring your own car or a hire vehicle there is off-street parking, but no covered garage. Other Things to NoteI have two cats, if you are allergic to cats then this will not be appropriate for you. And for that reason, I regrettably do not accommodate your pets.
