The cottage is located west of Summerside and is central to all major attractions. There is a deck on three sides of the cottage and a balcony off the master bedroom to maximize your outdoor relaxing opportunities. There is a lobster pot and a fire pit to cook seafood. There are a number of Provincial Parks with wonderful playgrounds and swimming beaches within a 5 minute to 30 minute drive from Mac Lean House. Mac Lean House offers everything you need for your home away from home: hardwood floors...upstairs and down, washer, dryer and clothes line, dishwasher and a veranda with rocking chairs. The beds have goose down comforters along with hand made quilts and the bedrooms are furnished with quality maple furniture. Wi-Fi (high speed) and satellite TV along with blue-ray DVD and movies on hand. BBQ and fire pit with fire wood is also available.. Confederation Trail, the popular nature trail that takes you tip-to-tip across our beautiful Island, is only minutes away by bike or foot! Guests will have access to the entire home as well as the outdoor property. We will provide guests access to bicycles they are welcome to take out. We are in a good, central location for travelling and exploring all the great things about PEI. Wellington has gas, grocery and banking in town. Getting AroundThere aren't any buses that provide public transit where we are on the Island. Taxis are available. We recommend a rental car for long explorations, but will provide bicycles as an alternative travel method. Other Things to NoteAn “Earthship," as it is known globally, is a type of sustainable home. It is built with mostly recycled materials and works with the Earth's natural phenomena such as the rain and sun to heat, cool, collect water and grow food indoors. We operate an eco-friendly, safe grey-water system in this home. After showering or running a faucet, that water will be redirected to our indoor gardens for the plants. Plant-friendly detergents and soaps will be provided for guests to use. Towels, face cloths, extra linens and basic appliances (hair dryer, charge cords) will be available for use.

There is a large kitchen, a nice sized living room, a full bathroom and there are two bedrooms on the top level of the house. All bedding in the bedrooms are of good quality and are clean. There is not much closet space available in either of the bedrooms. Interaction with GuestsDuring your stay, you will have access to our cell numbers in case you need to chat with us about the rental. Depending on the length of your stay, we will need to have access to the house to clean and change bedding. Outside maintenance of the property will be done weekly as well. It's also only a short distance from the Confederation Trail which runs through Wellington. There is no shortage of things to do and adventures to be had, from daytrips exploring the Island's many beaches to sampling the many great meal experiences all around the island.

              Heidi's Place is a renovated hip-roofed pony barn and is located on the grounds of Hilltop Acres Bed and Breakfast. It is a 2-storey guest house with a queen bed in one room, a double bed in the second room and 1/2 bath in the loft. At the foot of the wrap-around stairs is a full bath with tub and shower. The galley kitchen is equipped with a full sized refrigerator, 30" electric stove, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. The dining/living room has a table with 4 chairs, recliner, loveseat, rocker and 27" TV/DVD player. The guest house is completely constructed of pine boards in various designs. The patio door in the living room faces east and opens onto a deck that overlooks the scenic Bideford River and Malpeque Bay, home of the world-famous Malpeque oyster.
