Guest AccessGuests will have access to our warm and cozy gas fireplace, A/C unit in master bedroom, free wifi, dishwasher, microwave, huge natural gas barbecue, a kitchen stocked with dishes and cookware etc, parking, a large yard with a picnic table and bistro set, a 32" flat screen HD TV, Apple TV and Netflix, large soaker tub, a queen bed, a double bed, two twin beds, a beach pass, front porch with four Muskoka/Adirondack chairs, a washer, dryer iron and ironing board. Interaction with GuestsWe're fully available (via phone or email ) for any questions that may come up during your stay; however, we likely won't be around. The NeighborhoodOur four-season cottage is in Wellington, and the town is tiny and cute and right on Lake Ontario, meaning: beaches! The village beach is a short walk, and Sandbanks and North Beach provincial parks are short drives (a provincial park pass is included with your stay!). If you're in The County to visit wineries (which are open year round!), there's no better home base than Wellington as we're much closer to all the best wineries. The village also boasts a fantastic selection of restaurants, numerous galleries (be sure to check out the Studio Tour!), a café, grocery store, hardware store, bank, and a sweet playground for the kids on the water's edge. Visit in the winter to escape the crowds and curl up by our fireplace; visit in the spring to beat the summer rush; visit in the summer to experience The County in all its glory; visit in the fall for the incredible colours. The County is amazing any time of year and there's no better place to stay than at our country home! Wellington is perfect for all travellers, whether a couple looking for a quiet, romantic getaway, or a young family seeking a spot to test out their sandcastle-building skills. Our family falls into the latter category and we LOVE that in Wellington you can walk for three minutes and enjoy the best restaurants in the County (nobody should have to be DD when vacationing in wine country), walk a few minutes further to the beach, or just hang out in the backyard and play leapfrog on the grass. People affectionately call Wellington "paradise" — we definitely agree and hope that you will too! Getting AroundYou can easily walk to the main street, accessing the grocery store, restaurants, hardware store, pharmacy, café, bank, salon/spa. The Millennium Trail (a 40k+ converted rail trail) is at our doorstep. If staying in the winter be sure to bring your x-country skis! Beaches, golf courses and wineries are a very short drive away. Picton is a 25 minute drive and it has more shops etc. if you need them. If you're a keen cyclist, hundreds of kilometres of quiet country roads are yours to conquer. Ask me for cycling routes! Ditto if you like to jog or run, and the West Lake section of Sandbanks is great for open water swimming. (Did you read my bio? Yes, I am a triathlete!) Other Things to NoteThe cottage is available for minimum 2-night bookings year round, except for peak summer season from Canada Day to Labour Day. During peak season we only accept weekly bookings with SATURDAY check in/check out. 2015 peak season is from Saturday, June 27th-Saturday September 6th. All long weekends throughout the year require a 3-night minimum stay. Blankets and pillows are provided for each bed, but sheets and towels (including kitchen towels) are NOT included. Airbnb often misquotes the cost of our guests' stays, so just to avoid any confusion here's how the cost of staying breaks down: $195/weeknight $240/weekend night $475/weekend (Friday + Saturday nights) $950/week (off season) $1350/week (peak season) A $60 cleaning fee will also be added to all bookings. During peak season, check in is at 3pm on SATURDAY and check out is 11am the following SATURDAY.

The SpaceThis rental includes both cabins. You cannot rent just one cabin. The price per night includes 2 cabins and will sleep 4 people! What a deal! :) How are the cabins setup you ask? They are little buildings that is just a bedroom only 20 steps from the main house. It has power and lights (and even a TV!) and the quaintest feeling of all! And the best part is there are two! "Nook" and "Cranny" each have one queen sized bed that sleeps 2 and then a private kitchen/livingroom, bathroom and laundry room in the main cottage attached by deck and boardwalk. So essentially it's like a two bedroom cottage but not all under one roof. It's unique and fun and nothing like the Holiday Inn...Great for a family or two couples. Remember the cabins are uninsulated and warmer weather accommodation. Although we provide a heater we recommend summer use only. The beach, loads of restaurants, piano bar, the Drake Devonshire, ice-cream, shopping, parks and wineries - this is Wellington. Awesome right? We think so! :) Guest AccessGuests have access to two sleeping cabins, kitchen/dining/living space and bathroom, and large private yard. Large deck with bbq and plenty of chairs. Interaction with GuestsCall or text anytime you need anything! The NeighborhoodThe beach (right on Lake Ontario), loads of restaurants, piano bar, the Drake Devonshire, ice-cream, shopping, parks and wineries - this is Wellington. Awesome right? We think so! :) Getting AroundThere is no public transit in Prince Edward County...bring a bike, we're just 2 blocks to the Millennium Trail. Other Things to NoteRemember again if you are looking for more space or maybe coming with a larger group we have a second available space on the same property. The front part of the cottage has a separate entrance, kitchen, living room, 1.5 bathrooms as well as two super cute bedrooms for sleeping. Check out "Oakie Doakie Suite" and then we could essentially accommodate 8 people. Great for two families that want to come together but still have their own space!

The SpaceLarge and bright apartment feels like a bungalow, but with views from the second floor of the neighbourhood. Tall ceilings make it feel even more spacious. You forget it's an apartment because the two other tenants in this large Victorian home are very quiet. One bedroom has a queen size bed, another has a futon. There's also a very comfortable blow up 'double' size bed and a 'single' cot. We provide soap, towels, toilet paper and facial tissue, shampoo and conditioner. There's lots of herbs, both fresh and dry for your cooking pleasure . A short list of where you may find commonly used items throughout the apartment ensures guests feel at home. Guest AccessYou have exclusive access to the sunroom entrance to the upstairs apartment and the whole apartment upstairs. Two parking spots outside and three could be accommodated. Interaction with GuestsAs often as guests would like to communicate is how much I am available. Any questions, any time. The NeighborhoodJust around the corner there are many conveniences and services such as a bank with an ATM, grocery store, hardware store, auto repair facility, pharmacy, hair Salon, cafe and pizza, sub & burger place. Walking/cycling trails, a park, the lake and a beach are within a short walking distance. Popular and well known bistros, restaurants and cafes are one block away. The Drake Devonshire and a piano bar are right around the corner, along with a very popular Bistro and Cafe within a minutes walk. And so is ice cream lickin', many art studios, including a glass making shop around the corner. There are four churches in town: United, Anglican, Catholic and Presbyterian. Getting AroundThere's a taxi service if needed. Prince Edward County is very friendly to cyclists and there's a trail for hybrids and mountain bikes metres from the apartment. A bike route map is provided to tour the County. And some wineries will ship wine to your home. Private buses are also available as a shuttle between Belleville, Wellington, Picton and Bloomfield. Please advise if you need information. Other Things to NoteYou may borrow the seasonal pass for the Sandbanks and NorthBeach Provincial Parks. When laundering linens towels and tea towels, I use one that's fragrance and phosphate free. The linens for the main bedroom are made of bamboo and tend to wrinkle easier than cotton. However, the bonus is they get softer and softer each time they're washed. Be sure to tune into the County's community radio station at 99.3 that plays an array of music styles, radio programs and news.

This rental includes both cabins. But if you need us we are not for away! Call or text anytime you need anything! Remember the cabins are a warmer weather accommodation. Although we provide a heater we recommend summer use only. The beach, loads of restaurants, piano bar, the Drake Devonshire, ice-cream, shopping, parks and wineries - this is Wellington. Awesome right? We think so! :) There is no public transit in Prince Edward County...bring a car...it will be more fun!
