The SpaceChoice of Queen Room with TV, or Twin room no TV, or single room with TV and ensuite. A great way to stay with a local, near the beach (1.3km) and yet only 10km from the city! Wembley Downs is about 9kms north west of Perth city, and close to the beach. Starting at $375 pw for one person (includes DIY breakfast). A single room with, walk-in robe and ensuite and a separate door to the back garden. Clean, friendly 3 bedroom house in a lovely suburb. Free wifi. Borrow a bike and cycle to the beach. Have full use of the house/kitchen/laundry/garden. Quiet but friendly house. Email or ring.... Photos and testimonials on request. Need to go to the city? There is a bus stop nearby, for the no 92 bus which takes about half an hour into the centre. If you have a car, Wembley Downs has easy access to the coast road and to the main freeway. If you like to surf, you would be close to the nearby beaches of Trigg and Scarborough. There are bikes that can be borrowed, and taxis would cost roughly $15 - $25 to Subiaco, or to the city centre. The drive would take between 15- 20mins usually. Perhaps take an early morning walk to the safe swimming beach, just 1.3km away, or borrow one of the 2 bicycles parked outside the back door. Then home for a bath or shower. Help yourself to breakfast, whilst sitting in the lounge to watch Breakfast TV. In the evenings, feel free to use the lounge room, watch dvd’s or TV, play music or simply read a book…. Rates: $375 per week for the single room (has ensuite and a small tv) Or $70 per night (min 5 nights). Oh and a north facing back garden for those sunny winter days! The SpaceEntry to the house is into the loungeroom, with high raked ceilings giving a spacious beach pad feel. The available room is situated at the rear of the house and has a "shabby chic" single bed and chest of drawers. The shared bathroom is newly modernised, with double shower rail, double vanity, and toilet. A further toilet is located off the laundry, and a 2nd outdoor "surfer shower" provides an alfresco wash area. The kitchen/diner is basic yet functional, with gas hob, electric oven, and large fridge/freezer. The laundry is basic, offering a large sink and ironing board. Please note there is no washing machine/dryer/dishwasher in this property. An enclosed paved back yard offers a table and chairs, laundry line, and further comfy chairs. The NeighborhoodScarborough Beach is one of the most famous Australian Beaches and currently under a 70 million redevelopment plan to become WAs "Best Beach". It has a strong surfer culture, with regular surfing and kite surfing lessons on offer. Or you can relax and enjoy the sunshine, with plenty of coffee shops, eateries, bars, and a beach club at hand. "Nr Beach Pad" is located in the quieter area of South Scarborough, only 1km from the beach, with parks nearby with BBQ facilities. A short walk brings you to the coffee shops, French deli, bakery, butchers, food market, and fish and chip shop of Brighton Road. The quirky Hardware Store is a great place to have lunch, as is nearby Prestons which I highly recommend. Perth weather is eternally sunny and warm. The ocean breezes are famous and the pure white sand beaches are stunning, especially at sunset. Getting AroundA bus route is available at the end of the road, and will take you to Glendalough train station. From there it's a short train ride to Perth. Another more frequent bus route operates along Scarborough Beach Road which is a 10 minute walk, with buses every 10 minutes to Innaloo shopping centre and Glendalough train station. The SpaceThis 2-level townhouse was built in the 80s, it's homely, it's quiet, it is comfortable, surrounded by trees, treetop views and overlooking a park. You have a private shower and bath overlooked by the palm tree, the room has a queen bed, ceiling fan and heater. A double wardrobe and chest of drawers completes the picture. There are heaters in all rooms in winter, it can get cold and it's needed! And in summer ceiling fans keep us cool, especially as the bedrooms are on the ground floor. The SpaceThe space allows the tenant to be self sufficient with kitchenette, ensuite, laundry facilities and a second bedroom included for guest or child if desired. The studio has its own access and is adjoined to the main house by a solid deadlocked door. In this way it is semi - detached, but as private as you like. The house is secluded from the main roads, surrounded by aged Tuart trees and opens onto a private park, all of which makes for more of a rural setting than suburban. We are only a kilometre from the beach, and just minutes from several shopping centres and public transport. Guest AccessGuests will have access to two bedrooms, an ensuite, living and kitchenette facilities, private driveway, parking space, and private laundry. Interaction with GuestsWe interact with guests on case by case basis. Some guests will like a tour guide approach to the local area, others may like to keep to themselves, all of which is ok to us. We particularly like to have "sunset sundowners" on the deck, to which guests will be invited initially and subsequently if they are of the social type. Both routes are just a short walk (Walking distance: 7mins to bus 84 and 10mins to bus 83) away with a combined 5 to 10 minute frequency during rush hour. The bus journey will be 45 minutes to the CBD. If you are driving it's just 20 minutes to the Perth CBD, 30 minutes at rush hour. The IGA super market at Ocean Village is 10 minutes walk. It is open 7 days a week until 8pm. There are good cafes and takeaway restaurants at nearby Ocean Village and the Boulevard Shopping Centre. The beach is just 5 minutes walk. There is washing machine for you to use - with complimentary wash powder. The bathroom has been renovated with a double vanity and a waterfall shower head. Closer to home in the surrounding streets are funky little cafes and stores nestled here and there; Check out Brighton Rd Gourmet store, Jeremys Butchery & 'Hardware' Cafe and Calais St 'Prestons' Cafe OR St Brigids Tce for awesome Sushi at Peko Peko. Ventnor Street Park/Oval is a short walk around the corner - where you can exercise or walk/play with the dog safely. There is also a play park with swings for the kids. Supermarkets: Coles Supermarket at the Scarborough beachfront (2 min drive) or at a Westfield in Innaloo or Karrinyup (both 5 min drive away). Also! along Brighton Road there is the Brighton Shops with gourmet grocer, butcher, baker and great 'hardware' cafe for coffee (just around the corner, a few min walk away). The IGA along Scarborough beach Rd is great for out of hour shopping. Getting AroundNot even a 5 minute walk away is the Bus Line that takes you straight to Stirling train station - a cheaper option to getting in to the City or down to Fremantle. The local Taxi Service is either 'Black and White' taxis or 'Swan' Taxis. 'Uber' private taxi service, is another safe & cheaper option that I would definately recommend using around Perth. There is also Bikes for hire down at Scarboroughs intersection of the WestCoast Hwy and Scarborough Beach Road - take a ride up to Hillarys Boat Harbour along the Esplanade. We are served by 2 public bus routes on nearby Hale Rd and Empire Ave to Perth CBD. Patrolled beaches at City Beach, Floreat beach, Scarborough beach and Trigg Beach..all within walking or cycling distance. If you have a car beach parking at these beaches is free. Getting AroundAmple and free street parking. Short walk to public transport options. Bus number 83 & 84. Cycling routes along the coastal cycleways only 500 m away. Hiring a car will provide you with an easy and quick means of getting a car and making the most of your time in Perth or the Swan Valley wine region, Kings Park greenspace and beyond. Other Things to NoteWe have a cute, friendly Cavoodle dog. Being part poodle he is non-allergenic, wool coat and likes people. There are 2 backyard chickens and they lay eggs each day (no rooster!) The swimming pool can be used by guests with permission, and the beach is a very short walk away. Your privacy will be respected.

      The SpaceIt is a comfortable open plan house and also has a separate lounge area. Take your book to the comfy lounge on the airy verandah. It is a very pleasant place to be. Queen bed in the master, single beds in other three bedrooms. There is an induction cooktop and dishwasher. The family bathroom has a separate shower and bath. Top loader washing machine in laundry, clothes line outside and dryer in garage (because I never use it). Guest AccessAll available except for 1 extra bedroom (not included in listing), tiny shed and garage, where we will store our gear. The NeighborhoodGreat location; opposite golf course, tennis courts andfooty oval with playground equipment 300 m down road, 4 km to beach and close to shops. Getting AroundWe have bus stop 200 m down the road. Other Things to NoteWe have 2 indoor/outdoor cats. They are self sufficient with an automated feeder and cat door. They are not particularly friendly.
