There are no shops or restaurants here, and the closest place to get bare essentials is at Behga crafts to the east, or at Kleinemonde 15km to the west(fuel available here). Port Alfred is 40km to the west and has everything that you could need. For golf lovers the Fish River Sun is 15mins away, which also has a restaurant and spa.

There is an organic vegetable farming project that we love to support, so fresh veggies are always available. Getting AroundAs Hamburg is a small town, most places are accessible by a short stroll. All major amenities are within a 5 minute walking distance, including the beach and the great Keiskamma River. Other Things to NoteThere are no ATM's for cash withdrawals, or fuel stations in Hamburg. We do have a small general dealer shop, where you can buy almost any item you require. There is also a very well stocked bottle store, and a pub/restaurant.

Other Things to Note16 km of dirt road and about 96km south of East London, Half way between Port Alfred and East London, nestled in the former Ciskei homeland. You need to fill up with fuel before you leave as there is no garage within 60km. Small cars can manage the road but not in a hurry. Groceries : basics available but better to do big shop before heading this way. Watch for cows, donkeys, goats, pigs and other wildlife as you make your way here especially at night. There is no ATM in the village.

        Perched on the edge of the indigenous dune forest, overlooking the Indian Ocean, you will love your stay here, everyone does! I built this house and lived here for 7 years off and on with my family, and many guests from all over the world have also enjoyed this space. It's a two minute walk down the road from my house to the pristine beach. Decks on three sides of the house, open concept, full of local art and craft. Views are amazing. One bedroom down/main floor, three upstairs. 2 full baths.
