We are happy to provide you with all the local knowledge you may desire and see you get the most out of your stay in Esperance. The NeighborhoodWe live in a quiet area of town central, within walking distance to shops and the town beach. We are also positioned at the top of the hill, so we get a good view of the bay and the port. Getting AroundThere is no public transport in Esperance, therefore most people either walk or drive. We have a great cycling/running path at the bottom of the street which stretches right around to the other side of town, past the Esperance Jetty, and also up the hill and around the Tourist Loop for great views and exercise. Most beach access is restricted to 4wd vehicles only but if you don't have a 4wd and would like to get around the beach; contact the Tourist Information Centre for Local Touring information. Transport may be available to and from the Bus Port for free, however a fee of $25 will apply for transport to the airport. Please let us know as early as possible if you would like to arrange transport with us. Other Things to NoteThere is a 4 burner BBQ with side burner accessible for guest use on the verandah. There is a DVD player in the room that can be used if you BYO. There are also some books that you may read whilst staying but please leave (or swap) for the next guests.

      The SpaceWe have purpose built the private entry 'Motel' style room as an accommodation room for two with ensuite. A light Continental breakfast is provided free of charge. There is limited cooking options available with toaster, microwave, BBQ with side burner available and guests can pre arrange to use our kitchen if they would like more option. We also have a ping pong table, pool table and large flat screen TV/DVD available for use. Please ask if you are interested in these options. Guest AccessFree parking onsite.         Cosy and well appointed Stowaway has been designed by travellers for travellers, providing affordable self-contained accommodation in an incredible beach side location in Esperance. Stowaway is built into the ground floor of our home but is designed to provide complete privacy for guests. Views from the unit overlook popular West Beach which has variety of surf breaks and protected lagoon pools for swimming. It takes less than a minute to walk from Stowaway to the beach. Plus, there is over 10km of coastal walk/cycle paths starting across the road. Here you can live like a local in one of the best beach locations in Australia.

Extra storage space for bikes, kayaks and surfboards also provided. We live on-site and, should you want to, we are happy to chat and provide some local tips on anything … hiking, surfing, yoga, dining out or even if you just want some fresh herbs from the garden to complete your favourite recipe. The NeighborhoodWest Beach is typical of Esperance, with incredible white sand contrasted with granite headlands and stunning aqua blue sea. It offers a variety of surf breaks and protected lagoon pools for quieter swimming. You can check surf conditions by simply walking across the road, no need to pack up the car every time you want to go to the beach. There are over 10km of coastal walk/cycle trail, hiking tracks and a 46km coastal scenic loop road that provides an excellent training ride for road cyclists. If you are into the beach, health, fitness and the outdoors Stowaway is the perfect base. It’s all literally right at the doorstep. We regularly spot whales and dolphins from our house. There is an Indian restaurant within a short stroll and town centre is a mere 3 min by car or 10 min by bike. Esperance is laid-back and unpretentious. With rugged coastlines and incredibly clear blue water it’s perfect for a coastal holiday experience and a place to slow down and live life at the right pace. Getting AroundEsperance is best suited to travellers with cars or bikes as there is no public transport. Having said that, you could happily live in Stowaway and never get in a car. The beach, views and walking trails are just across the road. Other Things to NoteParking is on-site. Turn in beside the mailbox and park in the marked bay. The apartment is on the far left from the parking spot. We have arranged the parking so your car doesn't block your view.

Sean has grown up and lived in Esperance for over 40 years and has an intimate knowledge of the area, particularly the beautiful beaches which this area is renowned for. We would love to share our experience and offer guests information and advice so they can get the most out of their time in Esperance. You will also no doubt get a visit from our very sociable dogs, Buster and Jessie. They love to meet new people and particularly like playing with kids. The NeighborhoodSeascape is nestled in a private little neighbourhood of 8 families right on the edge of town. The neighbourhood is quiet and friendly and very safe. Getting AroundA four wheel drive vehicle is the best way to get the full Esperance experience, but a car or bike will also be fine. We can hire guests a bike at a very good rate if you would like to cycle to Twilight Beach or in to town.

The large back garden offers accommodation for well behaved dogs (by prior arrangement) they are however not permitted indoors. The bathroom features a lovely clawfoot bath tub and separate shower. Outside has a large north facing deck, there is also a small front port and front and rear gardens and adjoining secure carport. Interaction with GuestsThe property is self contained and check in is a self service style with keys available on location. In the event of emergancy/issues a manager and cleaner are available should they be required. The NeighborhoodCentrally located in Esperance, Western Australia the house is just 5-10mins walk from the town centre, shops and cinema. The town beach and port area and family friendly foreshore and parks are also just 5mins walk. Getting AroundEsperance does not have public transport and limited taxis. So it's very necessary to have a car or mode of transport while visiting Esperance. If travelling to Esperance via plane the airport is 30mins from town and car hire is available at airport however prior bookings are recommended. Or via bus you the house is approximately 2kms from bus station. Bicycles, surfboards and SUP boards are all available for hire in town. Other Things to NoteThe master bedroom and living area have ceiling fans and the living area is newly fitted with reverse cycle air conditioning/heating. Please use it to create comfort when required but keep or environment and climate in mind. The climate in Esperance and reliable sea breeze means air conditioning is rarely required. The house is well insulated so if is looking like a warm day during your stay lower the blinds on the sunny side and pop the fans on, and the house should keep a comfortable temperature. As the cool change comes in open up the doors and let the fresh coastal breeze flow. Some consumables are provided to provide home comforts when you arrive e.g. olive oil, salt, pepper, tea, coffee.

        Le Grand Chateau awaits your arrival in Esperance , set in park like surroundings. Two bedrooms- Alice Room offers a queen size bed with a wall mounted TV and ceiling fan. Twilight Room has a beautiful brass king size four poster bed and a king size double bunk bed. Linen and Towels are provided. Please bring beach towels if needed. Self contained kitchen includes: microwave ,convection oven, large double door fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. Lounge has a comfortable lounge, flat screen TV and DVD player. Books available to read and DVD's to watch. Laundry includes washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board. Large deck with outdoor setting , gas BBQ, beautiful gardens and depending on the season, lots of birdlife.

Our living areas look over not only Esperance bay, but one of our most beautiful spots, West Beach. With easy access not only to the beach, but to several walking trails, our home is situated in one of the best areas in Esperance. Getting AroundOur home is an approximate 3-4 minute drive into the town's centre or a lovely 30 minute walk if you're up for it. You will also bit situated 500m from the Great Ocean Drive: a 42km loop which takes you along our coast line and back around to Pink Lake. Other Things to NoteOur home is a pet friendly home, which normally houses our two fur babies - Allan the Labrador and Ian the cat. Allan is lucky enough to enjoy our camping adventures with us. If you are pet lovers like ourselves and won't be bringing any furry friends along, you have the option of feeding our cat for a discount on your stay (depending on how long you'll be there). Otherwise, he can have a cat holiday at the cattery!

Directly over the road from the stunning West Beach, the apartment has a private deck and outdoor setting with views to ocean and islands. Kitchenette is well equipped and has basic pantry supplies including tea and freshly ground coffee for plunger or Aeropress, basically everything you need to be self-sufficient. Stowaway is quirkily furnished with vintage and repurposed furniture and we aim for our guests to feel comfortable and at home in our beachside space. The apartment is built into the bottom floor of our home but is designed to provide privacy for guests.There is a combination key box for entry so you can simply let yourself in and make yourself at home. West Beach is typical of Esperance, with incredible white sand contrasted with granite headlands and stunning aqua blue sea. It offers a variety of surf breaks and protected lagoon pools for quieter swimming. You can check surf conditions simply by walking across the road, no need to pack up the car every time you want to go to the beach. Literally on the doorstep are over 10km of coastal walk/cycle trail, hiking tracks and a 46km loop road that provides an excellent training ride for road cyclists. If you are into the beach, health, fitness and the outdoors Stowaway is the perfect base. We regularly spot whales and dolphins from our house. There is an Indian restaurant within a short stroll and town centre is a mere 3 min by car or 10 min by bike. Esperance is laid-back and unpretentious. With untouched rugged coastlines and pristine turquoise water it’s perfect for a coastal holiday experience and to slow down and live life at the right pace.
