The SpaceOur house, the PAC (Parker, Anderson, Calder) home has stood for 102 years and maintains original features…sunroom, car port, original pulley windows, lots of oak trim and the maids stairs and room…now my walk-in closet:). We have a nice wood deck off the back of the house and a new brick patio/outdoor kitchen behind the garage that opens up to a large community green space. Perfect for sunning, frisbee, kickball, soccer, volleyball, dogs and general relaxing. Guest AccessYou will have access to your choice of sleeping arrangements, the full shared bathroom, kitchen, dining and living rooms, sunroom/office space and all outside spaces. Interaction with GuestsI do work in the home, the kitchen usually, during the day with various meetings around the kitchen table. I would move these meetings off site to accommodate our guests. The NeighborhoodOur neighborhood, Ingersoll Park, is located near 42nd Street and Ingersoll Avenue, pretty much in the middle of the entire metro area. And the freeway/I-235 is 2 blocks North. We are blessed with lots of large trees, lovely homes and great people. Which is good since the neighbor's houses are pretty close together on our part of the circle block. Getting AroundWe have plenty of street parking, driveway if it is snowing. I mentioned the freeway, the bus route is two blocks the other way. Our neighborhood has bikes lanes down Ingersoll, to downtown, and down 44th street to a large park with trails that connect throughout the metro. The airport is 10 minutes south. You do have to call for a cab…local companies and Uber are available. Other Things to NoteI did mention our family dog right. He is pretty chill, seven years-old, and does love making new friends. He also listens well and does not mind chilling out in my room if we need some space. He loves our guests and will try to sleep next to you on the floor. If I am not around feel free to assist him back to the hallway. Our family cat did live here for 15 years so his memory may still linger if you have allergies…and I am working on his memory.
I do smoke cigarettes in the house, the kitchen only, and over the stove vent. I also have 22 windows, 13 original, and two screen doors on the same floor. I do not believe the smoke smell lingers in the home, at least that is what others tell me.
