Guest AccessYou will have full access to the house, including the open area family room, comfortable living room with natural light & a high vaulted ceiling, full-finished basement, kitchen, front porch swing and the oversized, mostly shaded back deck. Feel free to cook in the fully stocked kitchen or enjoy carry out/delivery from one of our great area restaurants. There are some basic hand weights and exercise DVD's in the basement for your use. Do not feel you have to only retreat to your room...make yourself at home! Interaction with GuestsOur family and two small, people-loving dogs will be home for most stays. Join us for lively conversation in the family room or for an outing in-town or request privacy and retreat to the living room or full basement with couch, recliners, dinning table, cable TV, video games & movies. The NeighborhoodOur home is in the beautiful, tree lined streets in the Hills of West Dundee neighborhood. The neighborhood is bordered by a forest preserve to the north and west and a park with basketball, tennis, skating, soccer and baseball to the East. We are 2 miles from the incredible Fox River trail. We encourage our guest to borrow a bike and explore the neighborhood, downtown Dundee, and the Fox River Trail. If biking isn't your thing, a walk around the area with a camera is sure to provide a treat! An easy walk to the Chubby Bullfrog pub, Spring Hill Mall, and several local restaurants & shops. Getting AroundGreat accessibility to 72 (Higgins Rd), I-90, Randall Road, Dundee Road to get you around the NW Chicago suburbs. 5 miles to Big Timber or Elgin Metra stops. Walk or ride bicycles on sidewalks from our home to downtown Dundee for shopping & dining. Other Things to NoteChris works from home, so he is in and out of the house most days. We have 2 small Boston Terrier dogs that love visitors, but are only allowed on the main floor, not upstairs or in the basement. The invisible fence keeps them on the main floor indoors and in the yard while outdoors.
