Environmentally friendly, harmonious with natural settings, Yurts have an energy and openness uniquely their own to make your stay a wonderful experience to remember--and repeat. When was the last time you watched deer graze from your private deck or saw hawks and eagles soar on the wind? Have you heard any owls, tree frogs, bull frogs, or coyotes sing their night songs lately, or sat in your private hot tub and watched the starry heavens spread against blackest night without light pollution? At Stonewind, the unique and carefully protected natural setting allows you to reconnect with the simple things you may have forgotten--or have yet to know. Some moments are special. Mountain sunrises and sunsets are among them. Come see for yourself.

The SpaceOur sunny spacious studio has an open layout with a full modern kitchen, bar, work space, queen bed, sleeper couch and deep soaker tub, perfect for relaxing after a hard day. We offer wifi and a smart TV with the local channels, Netflix & Amazon Prime. (Sorry, no ESPN). You will have your own private deck - a perfect place to entertain guests and watch the abundant wildlife. The setting is very quiet and tranquil. If you want to go to town, we are just 8 minutes from the U of A and 10 minutes from Dickson Street. We are also 8 miles from the exit for Devils Den State Park and 35 miles from Crystal Bridges, the Bentonville Art Museum. The NorthWest Arkansas region is a wonderful area which offers year round cultural activities and was recently rated as the 5th most desirable place to live in the country. Guest AccessYou will have two separate entrances to your floor; it is completely separate from the downstairs. We don't have an elevator, so guests should be able to climb stairs. Interaction with GuestsWe live downstairs so we are happy to meet you and answer any questions you may have. The upstairs floor is situated above and behind our floor, so it is quiet and you will have complete privacy. Please contact us before booking if you plan to stay for more than 2 weeks so you can see if the space will meet your needs. The apartment is most likely too small for a family if you plan to stay for more than 2 weeks. The NeighborhoodGreenland is a sweet little sleepy town (population 2500) 5 miles south of Fayetteville. We have one stoplight and one great little restaurant, the Pirate's Nest. For peace and quiet, people stay home; for restaurants, movies, entertainment, farmers market and shopping, Fayetteville is less than 10 minutes away! If you are into biking and hiking trails, we are only 3 miles from Mount Kessler park. The 4 towns in the NW Arkansas area (Fayetteville, Springdale, Bentonville & Rogers) have developed an extensive biking trail system which is perfect for the biking enthusiast! Getting AroundWe are at the end of a dead end road, less than one mile from Hwy 49 and 5 blocks from Hwy 71. There is little traffic on our road and in our town, so getting around is pretty easy. One thing to note: we are on a hill with a one block street which can get icy in severe snow storms. If you are planning to come during January or early February, be prepared to park at the bottom of the hill (1 block) if we get an ice storm. Last winter we had no icy days, the winter before, we had 4-6 days, although not in a row. Other Things to Note1) Be sure to not speed through our little town of Greenland; we have very diligent traffic officers who have a habit of giving tickets! (There's little to no crime, so not much else to do!) 2) Also, for those who love sports, we don't have ESPN or standard cable (we have a digital antennae which gets 8-10 channels, Netflix and Amazon Prime.) There is a great sports bar, FogWings, only 10 minutes away.

Nestled in the Ozarks (near West Fork), this unique, 'modern' cabin is only 18 miles south/or 20 minutes from Fayetteville's city limits and 4 miles from Devil's Den State Park (terrific hiking trails, swimming, etc). This is an ideal place not only to enjoy the fun of Fayetteville (Razorback games, Dickson Street, wonderful restaurants and festivals) but also to visit sites in surrounding areas, such as the Victorian village of Eureka Springs, Lake Fort Smith Park for boating and kayaking, Crystal Bridges Museum, etc. Razorback fans are only a 20 minute drive from the stadium, plus other Northwest Arkansas festivals throughout the year are close by, such as Bikes Blues and Barbeque, NWA Craft Fair, and the Fayetteville Roots Festival. Not only can you enjoy city life but also enjoy the solitude and beauty of a relaxing getaway with terrific views and fresh air! The best of both worlds are available here. As one guest stated, 'Wow! Living here is like always being on vacation.' This cozy cabin contains numerous amenities --- custom kitchen with dishwasher, stove, microwave, refrigerator, dinnerware, stemware, basic utensils (plus additional ones---bowls, cookie sheet, cutting board, kitchen towels, spatulas, coffee pot/with coffee provided, crock pot, blender, mixer, wine opener, and many other full kitchen essentials etc.) An antique pub table, which extends, and chairs add a nostalgic touch and the table is large enough for comfortable seating. A large living area, which comfortably sleeps 4, contains the following: a queen-size bed, 2 nightstands, a leather queen-size sofa/ hide-a-bed, lamps, and a recliner. We also have a folding single bed tucked away, if desired. Other amenities provided are as follows: a/c, heating, a flat-screen TV with cable, a DVD player, and WiFi. Numerous brochures and information about local sites and events of interest are tucked in a basket on the kitchen counter. Otherwise, you'd never realize all the wonderful things offered in the area! The updated bathroom has a custom granite sink with full tub/shower and numerous essentials: towels, toilet paper, shampoo, body wash/soap, hair dryer, clothes hamper, closet, etc.). A washer and dryer are also available on the premises. The grounds surrounding the cabin are as beautiful and user-friendly as the cabin interior. The cabin also affords both front and back porches with chairs, etc. so our guests can relax and enjoy the wonderful views. In the back yard, a table, chairs, glider seat, barbeque pit and fire pit are at your disposal. (Firewood is provided by us.) ** Guests will need to provide all other items, such as charcoal, lighter fluid, etc. Also, both an open and covered parking space/s are available for vehicles or motorcycles. Guest safety is important to us; therefore, the cabin contains a smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector, fire extinguisher, First Aid Kit, and Safety Card with emergency information. Since we are kid-friendly, we've included some card games, chess, and others activities for your pleasure. (A minimum stay of 2 nights is required in order to rent.) (**If you wish to book for 7 nights, then a reduced fee is charged for 7 nights of $840, which is a night for free. If additional nights are desired, please contact the owners, Anne and Bill.) The cabin is on property of over 100 acres which is also where we have our residence. But rest assured that our home is located at a distance far enough from the cabin to ensure complete privacy for our guests. (Minimal contact with host unless requested.) We're a fun, retired couple and available for suggestions/recommendations about the Northwest Arkansas area as needed but realize that most people want privacy in such a serene, beautiful setting. **SMOKING POLICY: Smoking is not allowed inside cabin facilities. Outside is perfectly fine and ashtrays are provided on back porch. **PET POLICY below: A $40 non-refundable fee per dog (per stay) with a 2 dog limit *Payment due directly to us upon your arrival at the cabin. *Please notify owner at time of booking if you are planning on bringing a dog. Normally, a well-behaved and house trained dog is allowed; however, a maximum of 2 dogs are allowed because of the space, both size and decor of the cabin. An outside kennel is also available. Thanks.... **Check- In Time -- 3 pm and later Check-Out Time -- 12 noon (Check with us if other arrangements need to be made as these times are often flexible.) The above descriptors offer an overview to the numerous amenities available at our lovely cabin. However, none of the information provided can describe the serenity and beauty which this area offers, along with the added caveat of being close enough to city hustle and bustle.
