The SpaceTwo bedrooms, and a pull-out couch in the living room, make this an ideal space to host a family or group of friends visiting the Pittsburgh-area. Is it the hippest, most-interestingly-decorated space you've ever stayed in? Absolutely not. It's a functional space that let's you cook, plan, and relax. If the weather is nice, there's a backyard for games and hanging out. Guest AccessA lockbox gets you in. You'll have access to a full kitchen, dining room, living room (with pull-out couch), two bedrooms, and a full bathroom. No TV or laundry. Interaction with GuestsI'll be available mostly by phone or text. Those details will depend on the specific dates; I will coordinate with you in advance. The NeighborhoodNorth Braddock is in the shadow of a steel mill, and most of the steel industry has left the area. It's not a very active (URL HIDDEN) coffee shops or boutiques or anything like that are within walking distance. I love living here, but if you're looking for a "cute" neighborhood to be enchanted by, this probably isn't your place. It's a no-nonsense, working-class neighborhood. Access to Pittsburgh and Monroeville is easy by car. The Braddock area has had a difficult time as the steel industry has moved on, but is slowly being renovated. The Brew Gentlemen brewery, serving delicious craft brews, is a mile and a half away; numerous local bars and pizza shops also dot the surrounding neighborhoods. Getting AroundParking is easy. Public transport is difficult; not impossible, but would require some research and an adventurous spirit. Takes at least an hour, one way, to get into Pittsburgh using the bus. Other Things to NoteI-376 is the main way to get close to the neighborhood. It's usually pretty easy, unless it's rush hour, or there's a lane closure/accident in a tunnel. You'll note that the municipality I live in is North Braddock, but the address is in East Pittsburgh. That's not a mistake; in Pennsylvania, the mailing addresses are often different from the municipality, for postal purposes. The 107 Center Street address will get you to my place whether you enter East Pittsburgh or North Braddock into GPS.
