The SpaceEnjoy this serene, exquisite, private one bedroom Casita in the heart of Westlake just 10 minutes from downtown. The Casita is a small studio set off the homeowners private house. The homeowner originally created the Casita as a quite, meditative writing space. There is a wall of windows that face the woods and invite lots of natural light. The Casita is one room which is apx. 20' x 30' and has a beautiful full sized bed which is topped with a memory foam/down mattress topper. Off the main room is a private deck that overlooks the pool/spa and has a quite sitting area. You are welcome to share the pool with the homeowner. Heating the pool may be arranged for a fee but the homeowner generally does not heat the pool in winter. There is no fee for heating the spa. The property is located on several private wooded lots which give you the feeling you are out in the woods even though you are very close to town. There are even several well-manicured trails in the woods where you are welcome to walk and a dry creek bed that threads through the property. The Casita does not have a kitchen, but only the following: a toaster oven, microwave, coffeemaker, tea kettle, Britta filter pitcher, plates, bowls and settings for 4, and small dorm sized refrigerator. Also, there is no phone or TV, as the Casita is more of a retreat space. What you lack in technology, nature more than makes up for. There is however wifi! It is a great space for 1 or 2 people to make their headquarters during large events in Austin. There are two twin inflatable air mattresses (the double thick kind) that may be used and we will take up to 4 people. Over 2 people there is a $20 per person charge per night. This property is not suited for handicapped or people that may have trouble negotiating the steep and rocky terrain. ***Reviews for the "House on the Creek" are relevant to the Casita as far as location and the woods/trails. The SpaceThis comfortable retreat in the hills just west of downtown Austin is the ideal location for a family or a group of friends to explore all that Central Texas has to offer: downtown Austin, the hill country, shopping, outdoor recreation, fine restaurants, as well as special events such as UT Football games, Formula 1, Austin City Limits, SXSW and countless others. Our home is extremely private on a dead-end street off a dead-end street in the Westlake Highlands area of Central Austin. No through traffic means quiet nights with only the sound of night birds and the rustle of the trees. Even though it feels like you are in the country, you are a short 10 minute drive through beautiful hilly quiet roads to downtown Austin, 15 minutes to UT, 30 minutes to F1, 10 minutes to ACL & SXSW venues and less than 5 minutes to dining & shopping. The house is 3400 square feet on a wooded half acre. It can sleep up to 8 people in beds and a foldout couch and 14+ utilizing our brand-new blow-up mattresses. It has 4 bedrooms plus 2 offices that can be converted in to sleeping areas. The main floor features the master bedroom with a California King TemperPedic bed, a private bath and access to the outdoor deck. The room is large enough to accommodate a queen size air mattress. Also on the main floor are two offices that can be converted into sleeping areas. The main floor also features a great room, a large kitchen with a bar that seats 6 and that opens up to the family room, a dining area that seats 8, a half-bath, and a laundry room with supplies. The outdoor deck wraps around the main floor and has an outdoor dining area that seats 8 and a comfortable outdoor living area that seats 8+. The second floor features a bedroom with a full size bed and a playroom with a fold out couch with a queen mattress that share a bathroom. The playroom can also accommodate a twin air mattress if needed. Another bedroom with a queen size bed and in-suite bathroom complete the upstairs retreat. Other features include Cable TV, wireless internet, kids toys, board games, 3 car garage with a ping pong table and dart board and a basketball hoop. You will have full access to the house and 3 car garage. We will leave plenty of coffee and provide breakfast food and condiments. Help yourself to any food. You will find plenty of towels and toiletries in the bathrooms. You can interact with us as little or as much as you like. We will be available via cell, text and email. Only 5 minutes away is Barton Creek Country Club and Resort, home of five world-class golf courses, excellent dining, and a renowned spa. We're just a few minutes from a grocery store, 5 minutes from Lake Austin, 10 minutes from Zilker Park and Barton Springs. Also, this location is great for some easy day-trips such as: hiking at Pedernales State Park hiking at Hamilton Pool Reserve visits to LBJ Ranch in Johnson City Fredricksburg and nearby wineries hiking at Enchanted Rock enjoying the San Antonio Riverwalk, Alamo, and zoo shopping outlets in San Marcos and Round Rock Natural Bridge Caverns area lakes (Town, Travis, Austin, Marbles Falls, LBJ, and Inks) Getting AroundThere is no public transportation in this area. It's best to have a car. The airport is 20 minutes away. Other Things to NoteTo access the apartment, there's a staircase, so guests must be able to use stairs. Also, we have two friendly dogs, Nugget ( a little mutt) and Pepper (a Dalmatian). Neither have ever been in the apartment. They spend most of their time in and about the main house. Also, this is not an good place to bring younger children who do not swim or do not swim well.

The SpaceOur 5BR/3BA home is located deep on the side of a heavily-forested valley with 8 acres of land and great views just outside of Downtown Austin. While the home feels like you are miles away into the Hill Country, it is only a 9 minute drive to the famous Hula Hut restaurant on Lake Austin, and only 10 minutes to Zilker Park and the ACL festival! We purchased this old Austin estate from the original owners and have renovated it to use as our retreat in the forest. While the home is not brand-new construction with 5-star luxury in mind, we think it is a perfect place for groups who want to experience what Austin is all about - authentic Hill Country area with the nearby Urban vibe. Whether you are on a family vacation, reunion, in town for one of the many events like SXSW, ACL, or Formula 1 – our home has the perfect amount of privacy combined with a great location nearby to everything Austin has to offer. The main floor of our home has a large family room, separate dining room, den area, fully-equipped kitchen and a guest bedroom with full bath and a private entrance to the back deck! The SpaceOur 3BR/3BA home has been uniquely designed for convenience, accessibility, and enjoyment. Each of our three bedrooms was built like a master suite with a connected bathroom. Our home has two large outdoor areas for you to enjoy. One deck off the living room has a table and four chairs. We have another covered deck off of the kitchen that has a fan to help keep you cool during the Texas heat. When you are ready to jump into the lake, you just walk down to the dock (shared with the next door neighbor) where you will have access to two kayaks, two stand-up paddle boards, and a boat slip. Please note that only one boat is allowed on the premises. We are located on a quiet cove on Lake Austin and there is a boat launch location just 5 minutes away. The next renters often arrive five hours after you leave. We would like them to have the same fresh air experience in the house that you had upon arrival. Please avoid cooking with anything in the kitchen that will leave a strong lingering odor after you leave. Fish and heavily spiced hot oil cooking are examples of cooking that can leave lingering odors for up to two weeks. You are welcome to use the outdoor grill to prepare those meals. Your stay at the House on the Creek allows you access to a well-tended walking/hiking trail bordered by the creek. This welcoming split level home features four outside decks and two stone fireplaces. As you enter the front door, the vaulted ceilings in the living room, invite you in to experience the floor to ceiling windows allowing you a treetop view. The living room has a stone fireplace and remains sunny all day long – a great place to gather or sit with tea and read. Take two steps up from the living room to the formal dining area which allows you easy access to the kitchen. You may also want to enjoy your meals on the deck off the dining room, which has seating for six outdoors or grill outside. On any day sit in the sunshine and enjoy your morning coffee or a relaxed lunch on the deck next to the cozy kitchen table. The fully equipped kitchen has maple cabinets and granite countertops and Salitillo tiles floors and has service for 30. The spacious master suite has a television, stone fireplace and it’s own private deck, and a king sized bed. There are two additional bedrooms on the top level. There is a bedroom with two twin beds, which is perfect for kids. An additional upstairs bedroom's perfect child's decor features one queen sized bed. These two bedrooms share a full bath with tub. Downstairs is a children’s play room equipped with toys and a large craft table. The playset in the front yard allows enjoyment and entertainment for children. Maybe even the child in you. A crib, playpen and high chair are available. An outer deck runs the entire length and all the rooms have deck access. Note there are stairs between the floors and while not steep there are also split levels - steps up and down which might be hard for toddlers or the elderly. The living room/family room downstairs features an overside futon/couch, TV and DVD player, an exercise bike and pilates machine. There are bean bags in the kids room which you can pull in for extra seating. Additional portable beds are available for use either upstairs or down. There is single sunny bedroom downstairs with a queen size bed and a private door onto deck. There is a separate full bath next to the downstairs bedroom. Because the house is split level and has two separate entrances it is perfect for either two families, a Au Pair or mother-in-law. The driveway to the property is steep. The SpaceOur 4BR/3BA home is located on 1.5 acres, and while the home feels like you are miles away in the Hill Country, it is only a 3 minute drive to the local Westlake Shopping Center, a 9 minute drive to the famous Hula Hut restaurant on Lake Austin, and only 10 minutes to Zilker Park and the ACL festival! We think it is a perfect place for groups who want to experience what Austin is all about. Whether you are on a family vacation, reunion, in town for one of the many events like SXSW, ACL, or Formula 1 – our home has the perfect amount of privacy combined with a great location nearby to everything Austin has to offer. Our home has a large family room and dining room and fully-equipped kitchen and gas grill. There is plenty of room to entertain friends and family inside and outside either on the back deck or around the pool. The master bedroom features a Tempurpedic king size bed and attached bathroom with separate large tub and dual walk in shower. The second bedroom looks out towards the pool area and features a queen sized deluxe mattress and en suite bathroom with tub/shower. The third bedroom has a plush memory foam queen bed and "jack & jill" bathroom that leads to fourth bedroom that has a twin over full bunk bed. We have two additional twin mattresses that can be added to the floor space in any room for additional sleeping space. Enjoy a dip in our pool (it's not heated) or kick back and read a book on one of our decks - hard to believe you're only 15 minutes from downtown Austin. The view of downtown and the hills above Lake Austin from anywhere on the property is truly spectacular. Watch the fireworks display on Auditorium Shores from my deck. The very spacious loft overlooks the gardens below in the front yard. The loft area with adjoining Master bedroom and bath is lovely. The loft area has a futon sofa which folds into a full size bed. Queen size bed with a thick memory foam mattress in the Master bedroom. It's heavenly! Comfortable deck furniture. Downtown is less than 10 minutes away. Sit back and enjoy the breathtaking view day and night. Total privacy, seclusion, and relaxation! Carport can accommodate 2 cars with additional room for 2 more cars in the driveway.. Motion Sensor lights in the driveway provides plenty of light when arriving home after dark. Outdoor security cameras also provided for your safety. Also have colored flood lights in the trees and yard which creates a very beautiful, peaceful, easy kind of ambiance for evenings. The outdoor deck wraps around entire dome. 1.5 acres of privacy on the hillside above the city is very nice. In fact, it's perfect! The sun and the moon rises over downtown. Guests have access to the entire dome and property. A propane grill on deck for your use as well. I will leave breakfast items in the refrigerator for you during your stay. You'll have access to the washer/dryer for convenience. There is something fun for everyone!!! It's perfect for a nice relaxing place to hang. I have a large spacious front yard Carport Parking under carport for 2-4 autos Long driveway for two more cars. Security Motion Lights all around Yard and tree lights with colored flood lights LED lights surrounding deck are available. The privacy is amazing. Upon your arrival, I like to do a personal key exchange. I will explain some unique features of the dome. I'll offer recommendations on eateries, grocery stores, clubs and family fun if you desire. I must collect 6% Texas State Occupancy Tax from guests. We are required by the State as owners of Short Term Rentals to pay 6% quarterly to the State of Texas and the cost is passed on to the guests. I leave an envelope for guests with the amount due based on the guests gross transactions minus damage deposit. West Lake Hills is a very quiet neighborhood. Respecting my neighbors privacy is a must! However it's a heavily wooded area and the neighbors are also secluded and private. The hills and winding roads creates an "in the country" kind of feeling. The dome is located in a private and secluded area. The city view opens your world to Austin. Very convenient to Downtown Austin and Zilker Park...South Congress and many fabulous restaurants. Sharing my Dome with people from all over the world, making new connections with people and becoming friends has been an awesome experience. Making my guests feel very special and comfortable brings me joy in every way. Using alternative transportation or "ride sharing" such as Fasten, Fare or Get Me is a worry free way to get to downtown Austin. It's very convenient, safe and cheap. Downtown is only 6 miles away from the Dome. Fasten has replaced Uber and Lyft in Austin. Fasten is available to "request a pickup" in Austin coming back to West Lake Hills. But Uber is still available to "request a pickup" in West lake Hills going Downtown. Finding and paying for parking is sometimes an issue especially on the weekends. But when you are dropped off at your destination and picked up again by Fasten and brought back to my Dome in West Lake Hills, it makes having tons of fun downtown so much easier. It's a safe, convenient, inexpensive and a very reliable way to get around town. Your wait time is less than 15 minutes when picked up at the Dome. I personally have been using "ride sharing " for the past two years and love it. Uber Eats is also available in West Lake Hills. My Dome Sweet Dome Is a Perfect Piece of Paradise! Come and enjoy! When you are ready to jump into the lake, you just walk down to the dock (shared with the next door neighbor) where you will have access to two kayaks, two stand-up paddle boards, and a boat slip.     The SpaceThis Austin hilltop retreat is on a private cul-de-sac lot of almost 2 acres with views of downtown UT tower/campus. Features include over 5500 square feet of living space, 5 bedrooms, 6 full bathrooms, multiple living areas for adults and kids, two kitchens, large outdoor covered patio, outdoor and indoor dining areas, gas grill and a stone BBQ pit/grill/smoker, sun deck, saltwater pool and heated spa. There are 5 bedrooms. The upstairs master has a view of downtown, private balcony with TV, king bed, spa bath, dual shower, and walk-in closet. Two more bedrooms are located upstairs with full size beds connected by a Jack-and-Jill bath/shower with dual sinks. There is also a loft/large landing area with couch/twin bed and TV. Downstairs there is a second master with king bed, walk-in closet, and attached full shower/bath and a guest bedroom with 2 twin beds plus a 3rd twin trundle bed with adjacent full bath/shower. There are 3 living areas with couches and a separate office and mud room. Each living area has views of the hill country or downtown. In one living area, there are two couches that convert to twin beds and the other two living area couches could also be used for sleeping if needed. Guest AccessGuests will have access to the entire house including whole house music system, multiple TVs inside and out, wifi internet, 2 stocked kitchens, both the downstairs laundry room and upstairs laundry closet, a work out room with treadmill, mud room, pool (heatable with a fee), heated spa, and 2-car garage (plus space for about 8 cars in the circular driveway). To make your stay with children more comfortable, access to toys/books, highchair, pack-n-play, stroller (single or double), and carseat(s) are available upon request.
