We have 3 intentional beehives, bunnies, cats living outside and one friendly docile puppy living inside. We offer an optional organic continental breakfast, with various healthful items including mango jam for your toast or crackers, and honey for your drinks, all coming from our yard.
Your host, was reared in the community, and can easily give you tips on best hidden spots in the area. She completed her graduate studies in Peace building and Conflict Resolution, and runs a nonprofit educating children on beekeeping, permaculture, and meditation. This home has 5 bedrooms: 4 on the upper level and 1 on the lower level. There is currently accommodation for 4 persons in two of the upper level bedrooms (*this listing is for ONE of the two bedrooms, & the larger of the two). In a separate listing, there is a smaller bedroom with a queen size bed also, sleeping two. The bedrooms upstairs are all very close to each other, creating an intimate family/community experience. This is an extremely quant historic home, being one of the first homes built in West a Palm Beach The large bathroom has a shower, is shared with the other guests, owners, and is located downstairs. Also, on the main level there is a kitchen, dining, living room area, and a large screened in porch overlooking the spacious property. This household is shared with 2 awesome housemates, so there are 3 of us who welcome your visit. This is our home so we hope you will understand our need for some privacy.
This is a quiet household in a quiet neighborhood, with friendly neighbors. You can mingle as you wish, or not.
It is a short walk to "downtown" Northwood; and just slightly further down the road is downtown West Palm Beach and City Place. In Northwood you can find several restaurants, post office, and independent coffee shop, where you will find the best coffee in town. In downtown West Palm Beach you can find, 11 work out facilities, including yoga studios, gyms, spin, and boot camp facilities. You can also find grocery stores, local pubs, live music venues, and delicious food options. Further south, you will find a latin flare with several options for the most delicious Arroz con Pollo and Huevos Rancheros. We are extremely close to Palm Beach (less than 5 miles). We have bicycles for lent, and you can take the bike path over the bridge and all the way to the inlet from our house. Or you can opt to go shopping on the world famous Worth Avenue or a day at the beach.
The Flagler Museum is about 7 miles away, and the Norton Art Gallery is also very near. There are movie theatres, science museum, the zoo, and een a new designer discount mall, all within close driving distance. The Loxahatchee River where you can rent a kayak is a day trip and worth the trip up the road. The owner can give you tips for entertainment from ballgowns to baseball grounds.

We have lived in this very historic home for 28 years. Our neighborhood is rich with history, and is very eclectic. We have a funky coffee shop (not Starbucks) and are fortunate to have the very best restaurant's in West Palm Beach, Italian, Thai, Middle Eastern, Chinese, California cuisine, and a delicious French bistro. Getting AroundPlenty of parking. Local Airport and convention center is a 15 minute ride. Other Things to NoteThe home owner is also a licensed massage therapist, so massages are available on the premises.
