The SpaceThis 2 storey house offers visitors their own living space on top level of house. There is a large bedroom with queen size bed and a single bed. There is also a very large open plan lounge area with another queen size bed and single bed, so can accommodate a group of 6. Lounge area is a warm, sunny relaxing haven, equipped with a flat screen TV, stereo, broadband internet and lounge suite. There are also coffee and tea making facilities upstairs. The upstairs bathroom has bath, basin and toilet. The shower is downstairs in other bathroom. Guest AccessBbq, outdoor deck, sky tv, WIFI - limited gb. To be used only for making bookings and emails. No downloading. If this is not suitable please do not book. The NeighborhoodThe accommodation is ideally situated, as it is a 5 minute walk to the surf beach. Over the back fence, there is a 9 hole golf course, and if you prefer to play 18 holes, there is a course for you, only 3 minutes drive away. We are a 10minute walk from the town with a number of excellent cafes, restaurants, bars and quality shopping. There are many bush walks within close proximity and we have an excellent climate. Our winters are mild. Other Things to NoteGuests can stay as long as they like. Weekly rates of $400 per couple are available. Lunches and dinners can be provided, at a small extra charge, if requested

The SpaceWe have been hosting WWOOFERS and Servas for 20+ years so are used to many different people and have learned to greet many in their own language. The NeighborhoodWhangamata is a fantastic beach destination for your weekend get-away and is only 2 hours drive from Auckland, and 1 3/4 hours drive from Hamilton. Whangamata has vibrant local culture, an excellent surf beach, beautiful estuary and a number of cafes. Whangamata also hosts a number of events such as "Beach Hop", surf competitions like the "Billabong Surf Competition", the "Whangamata Walk and Run" and Whangamata is a renowned New Year's eve destination for revelers. Other Things to NoteAll new bathroom, high pressure shower. Modern Fisher & Paykel washing machine and fridge/freezer. Pillows, duvets, duvet covers, mattress & pillow protectors. Electric heater in lounge and each bedroom. Outdoor furniture & sun umbrella, outdoor gas BBQ. Vacuum cleaner & iron. Also, a single garage is available for storage of surfboards etc.

The SpaceOur place is ideally suited to a couple or small family. The quiet cul de sac street is close enough to the shops and beach that you do not need to use your car. There are two areas to sit and enjoy the outdoor space. Unfortunately it is not completely fenced off. Laundry facilities can be made available to those quests staying for a week or more. Interaction with GuestsWe use another apartment upstairs, but are not there on a full time basis. We will have someone greet you on your arrival. The NeighborhoodWe call this an apartment, but it is really a kiwi bach divided into two levels. We rent out the lower level. There is ample backyard space for lots of running around and playing. Note it is not completely fenced off. The walk to the beach is only across the road and over the dunes. Or the walk to the main street is also only a few minutes away. Cafes, shopping etc. Harbour end has a wonderful wharf for the children to fish off or jump off. The Estuary end has a lovely safe harbour for swimming if the waves get to big on the main beach. Getting AroundWhangamata has most amentities within walking distance of the apartment. There is one main supermarket, liquor outlets, cafes, restaurants, doctors and a good selection of retail outlets. Other Things to NoteMinimum stay two nights. $50 cleaning fee.

Step from the dining area to the covered patio with bbq and table. Glass sliding doors from the master bedroom to the spa and a private grassed yard. Fully fenced for child safety. Large bedroom with couch and chairs and 32" TV and Playstation and games so kids have their own area. Gates either side of patio, and spa separately fenced. Main entrance sliding gate for parking area and extra privacy. All at beach level. Master bedroom with shower/toilet ensuite. Second bedroom with door to main bathroom. Third bedroom is a large 6m by 3m rumpus with marine carpet, Whisper quiet door. All beds are very comfortable while firm enough for any guests with back problems. House built with maximum sound insulation and surprisingly quiet inside. Tiled bathrooms with underfloor heating, thick pile carpet and underlay throughout. Large and high pressure showers, gas heated hot water. Outdoor heated shower. We have designed and furnished to maximize comfort, relaxation, convenience, space, and quiet. If the weather is inclement or very hot, you are in your own tranquil microclimate with views to the beach/park and spa. Surrounded by shrubs and trees. Mini-golf. Boating club with busy restaurant and bar. Excellent bush walks with sea views. Refreshing river water-holes. Close to Pauanui, Opoutere, Onemana, Whiritoa and Waihi beaches. Well located for day trips to Tauranga, Cathedral Cove, Hahei, Cooks Beach, Whitianga, Coromandel town. Whangamata has over ten cafes, many restaurants, and many boutique and surfing shops - you will happily spend a day or two browsing the main street. Walk the length of the beach in the morning, lunch and shop and play mini-golf in the heat of the day, and swim in the surf from mid-afternoon working up an appetite for a barbecue back near the beach.     The SpaceDouble room, wth private bathroom, lovely views from every room, only 3 km from beautiful surf beach and Whangamata town. Fabulous estuary position offering privacy and security for cars and boats. There is a boat ramp in town for fishing or diving and there are boats available for casual day fishermen or even full charter vessels. Our home is situated on a 30 acre deer/alpaca farm near beautiful bush walks and biking trails. Pick up negotiable. Sorry no wifi but access in town is fine. Parking (URL HIDDEN) with Sky Channels in family TV room. Meals negotiable. Breakfast included. Whangamata town has a permanent population of under 4000 but over the summer holiday season and for festival weekends this swells to between 10000 to 40000. There are numerous cafes and restaurants and over the holiday period many attractions and events are hosted near the surf club. If you prefer a quiet base only 3 km away from the party crowd in summer then we have the quietest home overlooking the gorgeous Otahu Estuary and Clark Island. We are 30 minutes drive North from Waihi and about 40 minutes from Thames, Tairua or Pauanui. The perfect gateway to the Coromandel Peninsula. No dogs permitted as we have fawns and other animals on site, however there is a boarding kennel and cattery only 1 km away.
