    The Olde Wharf was built in late 2007, where a ship wharf once stood long ago. At one time, the Wheatley River road ran along the river, set between water and woods. About fifty years ago, a new paved road was placed 100 meters higher. The terrain is now great for walking, or if you are feeling more relaxed, to rest by the picnic table. We also have easily accessible kayaks to paddle away on the river to Rustico. You can paddle for hours, and fish, in a magnificent piece of nature. The owner of the Olde Wharf, who is originally from the Netherlands, respects and lets nature have her way and also expects that from her visitors. The apartment is furnished in a style that combines both modern European as well as an antique style. It is also fully equipped to rest after all your outdoor activities. Even though the Olde Wharf is located in the beautiful countryside, most of the sights that Prince Edward Island has to offer can be found within a 15 minute drive. These sights include, but are not nearly limited to, Prince Edward Island’s capital Charlottetown, Cavendish with the historical home of Lucy Maud Montgomery (author of Anne of Green Gables), the small fishing-village of Rustico, Brackley Beach National Park and the largest art gallery, restaurant and gardens: The Dunes. We also suggest that you visit The Great Canadian Soap Store in and Gaudreau Fine Woodworking. Aside from the restaurant at The Dunes, you can eat at other restaurants such as New Glasgow Lobster Supper, Preserve Company in New Glasgow or The Dayboat in Rustico. The most important aspect of your stay at The Olde Wharf is the relaxed homelike atmosphere, while you are surrounded by the beauty of nature!     Guest AccessThere is a pool table in a common area for all guests to use. We have a fire pit outside as well for hot dog roasts or a few drinks around the fire. A trampoline and 3ft above ground pool for those that like the (email hidden) on the property (grass playing area) There is a garage for covered parking for motorcycles or bicycles. We have a few bookshelves with a collection of books for all ages and a chair placed near for a quiet rainy afternoon or just a quiet break. There are many board games available to borrow as well as a selection of movies. Interaction with GuestsWe will interact with guests as often or as little as they like! Upon checkin guests are shown all common areas as well as where the complimentary breakfast is served from 8-10am every morning. Payment is taken at checkin so that if guests plan to be away, checkout early or just want their peace and quiet they are able to without disruption. Guests are more than welcome to use the common areas as often as they like while showing courtesy to other guests 11pm or later. We have chairs on all deck and patios for everyone's use. There is a small 3ft above ground pool and trampoline as well The NeighborhoodWe are located just across from the Clyde River where many of our guests enjoy watching the local eagle fish. In New Glasgow, 5min walk, there are 3 restaurants. The popular New Glasgow Lobster Suppers where you can get your fill of lobster although they do serve a variety of menu items. The Preserve Company which is open for breakfast lunch and supper and has a very good selection. They also have the gardens of hope which is a large garden you can walk through for a small fee as well as a butterfly house where you can enjoy butterflies up close and personal! There is also a fine dining restaurant overlooking the same river as we do where you can enjoy a dinner for those who enjoy wine and a more refined meal. The Toy Factory is also near and a hit for children and a unique place for adults young at heart! Ice cream is sold there as well! The Glasgow Hills is the closest golf course to the bed and breakfast and hosts Pipers Restaurant. Getting AroundWe offer shuttle services when available but as we are in a country setting we suggest a car rental or at the least a bicycle rental as having the ability to travel the island at your leisure truely will enhance your time on the island.

          The SpaceThe Orchard Cottage is a spacious mini-home with vaulted ceilings located on a corner of our three acre homestead in the rural farming community of Wheatley RIver. There are two bedrooms, each with a queen sized bed. All linens provided including sheets, duvets, pillows, extra blankets and towels. Both bedrooms have dressers and closets for your things. The space is setup to accommodate up to four people, however a double air mattress and linens can be provided to accommodate another person or child in the living room. All windows have both screen and blinds. The back of the cottage faces southeast and gets wonderful morning sun. There is no A/C, but all windows can open, there is a ceiling fan in the living room, and portable fan in the closet. There is electric heat with a thermostat in every room. Generally the cottage is quite comfortable. The cottage has a full kitchen with a dishwasher. You’ll find everything you need from wine glasses to a giant lobster pot. Gas BBQ just outside for grilling your local beef or seafood. Fresh eggs available daily from our laying chickens. The living room is spacious with two couches and a vaulted ceiling. Large new flat screen with satellite TV. High speed wireless internet. There is a washer and dryer within in the cottage. Laundry detergent is provided. Four extra large colorful beach towels and chairs for your days on the beach. The back deck gets wonderful morning sun and has new patio furniture with comfortable cushions. The perfect spot to enjoy your coffee while watching our laying hens peck through the orchard. Beside the cottage is a fire pit perfect for cool evenings. Firewood and kindling is provided along with extra blankets to take outside with you. Guest AccessThe entire cottage and surrounding property are yours to enjoy while you stay with us. Paved parking area adjacent to the cottage. The NeighborhoodThere are many interesting communities nearby, here are a few of our favourites: New Glasgow (5 minute drive west): the Preserve Company store and gardens, New Glasgow traditional lobster suppers, Glasgow Hills golf course and restaurant with a view, the Old Mill restaurant, Gouda cheese farm and restaurant. North Rustico (10 minute drive north): small theatre, fishing tours, fresh fish market (Doiron’s), beach, liquor store, gas station, bakery, grocery store, Blue Mussel Cafe, Fisherman’s Wharf and By The Bay restaurants. Cavendish / Stanley Bridge (15 minute drive northwest): resort centre of PEI with multiple family fun parks, restaurants, shops, Cows ice cream, and the national park beach. Home to the Green Gables house. A friend of ours runs boat tours out of the Stanley Bridge marina. Brackley Beach / Covehead Harbour (15 minute drive northeast): A popular National Park Beach with white sand dunes. Covehead Harbour is a working fishing port within the national park. The best fish & chip in PEI is here at Richard’s. Dalvay-by-the-sea (25 minute drive northeast): The historic mansion shown in Road-to-Avonlea is located here. It is now a hotel and fine dining restaurant. More beautiful national park beaches as well as bike paths and rentals can be found here. Charlottetown (25 minute drive southeast): The capital city of PEI, Charlottetown town is home to many Victorian era buildings, theatre (Charlottetown Festival including the Anne of Green Gables musical), many restaurants, nightlife, art galleries, shopping, and a farmer’s market. Getting AroundComing by car or renting a vehicle while here is the easiest way to get around. While there are buses within Charlottetown, there are no public transport options where we are in the country. The Charlottetown airport with car rental facilities is located about a 20 minute drive from us.

This cozy 2 bedroom, family cottage is located in a specious area near Brackley and is a 10 minute drive from Brackley Beach National Park (A family access pass will be included with your stay!) and the Brackley Drive-In, with a 20 minute drive by the coast you will be in Cavendish, home of the Cavendish Beach music festival. The cottage features a nicely sized deck in the front with a set of table and chairs and a relaxing lounge set. There is a place to make a bonfire and there is a bbq to use. During your stay you can use the canoe (OWN RISK) :) To accommodate four adults/children. The deck features a comfortable lounge set, Dining set and bbq. On the deck you will find a door to the living room. The comfortable open concept living room with smart TV that has internet access should you like to log in to your netflix account or youtube ( there is NO cable television). There are two bedrooms of the living room newly furnished with new mattresses and bedding. Clean linnen are provided during your stay! Than there is the rustic kitchen fully equipped with full stove/coffee maker/microwave, and full sized fridge. Right beside the kitchen there is a bathroom with a shower/bath, toilet, sink and laundry appliances, of course the bathroom is stocked with freshly provided (beach)towels for your use during your stay! Guest AccessFrom up Crooked creek rd you can follow Macpherson lane down. The cottage has a private driveway, there will be a lockbox with key on the deck to enter the cottage. The NeighborhoodThe cottage is about 300 meters set back on a dirt road. There are 6 other cottages located in this sub-division. Getting AroundA car would definitely come in handy on PEI! This cottage is right in the center of the island. East and west point are max. 1-2 hours driving. Everything is easily accessible! We are located in the green gables shore area.           Centrally located, Greenvale Meadows duplex is beautiful guesthouse, right next to Hunter River (Clippers Soccer Complex) Close to theatre, pharmacy, parks, beaches and the trail. You’ll love our place because of its location and outdoor space. Great for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets). Use of a hot tub in the summer months. 15 minutes to Charlottetown and 12 minutes to the beach.

          The Island Hideaway is a new seasonal rental in the Cavendish area. It is a beautiful, spacious three-bedroom house with all the modern conveniences needed to have a wonderful vacation. Our house is located on a 15-acre lot which ensures privacy yet is within a ten minute drive of Cavendish. It is close to the beaches, golfing, restaurants and fishing.           O'Reardon House is our personal residence which we offer to vacationers who choose to visit Prince Edward Island during the summer months. Our home was built in 1997 on a one and a half acre lot. Our central location allows you to be close to everything our province has to offer. The historic city of Charlottetown is just a twenty-minute drive from O'Reardon House. Charlottetown played a significant role in Canadian history as it was here, on Prince Edward Island, one hundred and fifty years ago, that that the Fathers of Confederation gathered to discuss forming a new nation….Canada. We are a short drive from Cavendish, a community world renowned for its beautiful beaches. For more details on Cavendish and other tourist destinations on PEI, you can search the tourism PEI website. There are a number of restaurants and golf courses nearby as well. Be sure to check out one of a number of restaurants specializing in lobster dinners! Eagles Glen Golf Course, Anderson’s Creek Golf Course, Green Gables Golf Course and Glasgow Hills Golf Club are all within a 19km/12 mile radius. O’Reardon House has three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. We offer a very clean and comfortable establishment including all the amenities you would require. The upstairs has the three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed with ensuite bathroom which has both an air tub and shower unit. The second bedroom has a queen-sized bed and the third bedroom has two twin beds. Our upstairs also has our washer and dryer units, conveniently located in the hall at the top of the stairs. On the main level we have a half bathroom, living room, dining room, kitchen and common area off the kitchen. Our kitchen is fully equipped.....cutlery, utensils, pots, pans etc.

With over 30 acres of wet and dry attractions your family won't stop smiling.We have off season for all of the above (price varies - please call for details) The starting rate of $160 is for a One Bedroom Cottage during Peak Season (June 25 to Sept 6). A 2 bedroom cottage and a 3 bedroom cottage start at $170 per night plus tax.Smoking All of our cottages are smoke-free. Smoking is prohibited within the cottages, but it is permitted on the grounds or outside on the decks. Please help keep the grounds clean. Pets Pets are welcome. Owners must pick up after their pets and must not leave them unattended at any time, day or night. Beach Passes National Park passes are complimentary for use during your stay. (One per cottage). The pass must be returned on check out so that we can extend the same courtesy to the next group.
