Our location here in rural Northeast Kansas, where we experience the brilliant seasonal changes (cold, snowy winters and hot, humid summers), is perfect for guests who seek to truly 'get away from it all'.
The farmhouse was built in 1900 and the massive three level barn in 1915, giving a true glimpse into the past of rural America. The chickens provide farm-fresh eggs and the resident rooster serves as a natural alarm clock. Guest AccessIn addition to their private rooms, guests have access to the guest common room / library that is on the second floor by the bedrooms. In addition, there are two shared bathrooms, dining room, front parlor, wireless internet, washer / dryer, all of the grounds (gardens, porches, walking paths in the pasture) and, of course, miles of open country roads for walking, cycling, and horseback riding.
Pets are allowed in some circumstances. White Cloud House has a dog and a cat that are both indoor/outdoor pets.
If you are traveling with horses or hunting dogs we have plenty of open space for trailers / kennels. Interaction with GuestsGuests are free to come and go as they please, interacting as much or as little as they desire. For those who desire to eat alone or in retreat silence, a designated dining space is provided. The NeighborhoodWhite Cloud House is in the extreme corner of Northeast Kansas, just four miles from both Missouri and Nebraska. We are in the heart of farm country---rolling hills of corn and soybeans.
