      Ideally located for fisherman and tourists alike, this charming house is situated on the banks of the Madison River, halfway between Ennis and West Yellowstone. Private river access is provided from the rear of the property which looks down on the Madison River. Not only does the Madison River provide wonderful fishing, it also is a mecca for bird and wildlife watching. Elk, deer, antelope and bighorn sheep are commonly seen in the area. Bald and golden eagles, osprey, owls, sandhill cranes and blue herons, to name just a few, are also quite common. The western towns of Ennis and West Yellowstone are each an easy 35 mile drive away. Ennis is a thriving destination tourist town that is known for its friendly atmosphere and excellent fly fishing. It is home to a beautiful new hospital, library and high school and a challenging nine hole par-36 golf course. For those hoping to play more than one golf course, there are 5 other golf courses within 45 miles of Ennis. Drive South of Eagle’s Vista 35 miles and you come to the rustic town of West Yellowstone and the West entrance to Yellowstone National Park. West Yellowstone is also known for its excellent proximity to world class fly fishing and hunting. It has many shops and restaurants as well as the Playmill Theater which brings college students from around the United States to perform broadway plays during the summer. It has a fenced yard and North Willow Creek runs through the back yard. View to the west is of Hollowtop and the Tobacco Root Mountains. View to the north is the remains of the Elling-Morris Stamp Mill built in 1883 to process ore. You can sit by the creek in the backyard and enjoy the mountain air. It is about 2 miles to the trailhead where you can hike, mountain bike, or ATV into the Tobacco Root Mountains and/or into several mountain lakes. It is about a two mile drive to Cataract Reservoir where there is fishing, or a short drive to public access on the Madison or Jefferson Rivers, or to nearby Harrison or Ennis Lake. The Pony Bar is within walking distance, and there is a small diner 6 miles away in Harrison. There is a selection of dining establishments in Ennis and other local areas, all within 30 miles.

                    There are a total of five luxury tents at this glamping property: the Hollowtop Honeymoon Suite, Horse Mountain, Mount Jefferson, Potosi Peak, and Granite Peak. The tents sleep from two to four adults. Children can bring sleeping bags and sleep on the floor of the tent for free. These tents are available during the week, as well as when there is not a wedding taking place on any given weekend. All of the site's luxury tents have hardwood floors, an eight-foot deck with lounge chairs, a nightstand, and a mirror. The tents do not have electricity, but there are outlets in the barn that can be used for charging. Linens and towels are provided. Fresh drinking water is also provided daily. A continental breakfast is offered, and guests can also purchase bag lunches, if so needed or desired. The breakfast is delivered each morning around 7 a.m. and includes locally sourced baked goods and juice.The Shower House is a large tent with four private rooms, each with separate entrances, that each lead to a private shower. All showers have hot water, and each private room also has its own dressing area for pre- and post-shower changing. The Shower House is a 10-minute walk, or a two-minute drive, from the luxury tents. As for bathroom facilities, there are shared bathrooms on-site with toilets and sinks, as well as port-a-potties.The Hollowtop Honeymoon Suite is popular for newlyweds who get married on-site, as this property frequently holds outdoor weddings on the weekend. The tent can accommodate two guests and comes with a king-size bed.Horse Mountain and Mount Jefferson both can accommodate two guests, and each comes with a queen-size bed.Potosi Peak and Granite Peak both can accommodate four guests, and each comes with two queen-size beds.The prices for the five luxury tents change depending on the number of nights guests will be staying. The daily rate listed for each tent is the one-night-stay price.In Hollowtop, Granite Peak, and Pototsi Peak tents, if guests stay for more than one night, the first night is $140, and each additional night is $125. In Mount Jefferson and Horse Mountain, if guests stay for more than one night, the first night is $110, and each additional night is $95. The hosts will adjust the rates accordingly once a guest has submitted their booking request.

                    This property is located in Cardwell, MT, a great location for the fisherman who wants to pull his boat out and only be 100's of yards from his/her cabin. It also offers the advantage of fishing along private property. There are fishing guides in the area that can get you out on the river. You can't set up a better hunting camp than a cozy 4 bedroom cabin. The cabin has deck to relax in the evenings and look out the amazing views (jefferson river, south boulder river, tobacco root mountains). There is a washer and drier for extended stays. The cabin has 4 bedrooms 1) twin 2) twin 3) queen 4) king 5) futon.

                    Borden's is a historic hotel located in downtown Whitehall Montana that has been converted to nine apartment units on the second floor. Apartment 207 faces north, has a king sized bed that can be separated into two twin beds. The unit sleeps 1-2 people and can be accessed by an elevator or stairs. Walk to restaurants, bars, the newly updated Star Theater, events at the Whitehall Community Center and downtown shops. The Borden's building was and continues to be at the center of life in Whitehall Montana. From here you can explore fishing or boating on the Jefferson, hiking or hunting in the Tobacco Root Mountains or simply drives through the thousands of acres of public lands that surround Whitehall. The apartment has a small but completely new kitchen with stove, mini-refrigerator and vent hood. There is ample parking on both sides of the street to the east and south of the building.

                      Borden's is a historic hotel located in downtown Whitehall Montana that has been converted to nine apartment units on the second floor. Apartment 203 overlooks Main and Legion streets and the Tobacco Root Mountains to the east. It sleeps 1-2 people and can be accessed by an elevator or stairs. Walk to restaurants, bars, the newly updated Star Theater, events at the Whitehall Community Center and downtown shops. The Borden's building was and continues to be at the center of life in Whitehall Montana. From here you can explore fishing or boating on the Jefferson, hiking or hunting in the Tobacco Root Mountains or simply drives through the thousands of acres of public lands that surround Whitehall. The apartment has a small but newly installed kitchen with stove, refrigerator and vent hoods. There is ample parking on both sides of the street to the east and south of the building.

The Neighborhood The views, the quiet, the wildlife (the elk are out in the early morning in the pasture--deer throughout the day), the outdoor RECREATION! Getting around 15 mile drive to either Whitehall, or Historic Butte, America! Easy, scenic drive. Drive up to the property is only a mile from the main road, on dirt roads. Plenty of room to turn around a horse trailer or cargo trailer for hauling ATVS. Other Things to Note Only 7 Miles to Ringing Rocks, a unique Rock formation found only here! A must see and do with the kids!

                      This is a beautiful home, with lovely woodwork, natural stone and granite, and plenty of natural lighting. We strive to make it low allergenic, so you can relax, rest deeply, and enjoy expansive views of the Tobacco Root mountain foothills and small quaint town of Pony, Montana. Featured in Fine Home Building for it's unique construction, the craftsmanship in this home is remarkable. Lots of natural lighting with ample windows. Outside, there is plenty of open space all around. Inside, there is two bedrooms each with a queen beds, one full bath with clawfoot tub with showerhead, kitchen, dinning room, livingroom with full length sofa, porch and laundry room. Includes HEPA filter with coconut shell activated carbon filter. A lovely soapstone woodstove heats the whole house. Two fold-up cots are available for extra guests. Access to home includes a master bedroom with balcony, guest bedroom, living room with lovely soapstone woodstove, bathroom with claw foot tub and showerhead, kitchen, kitchen appliances and dinner ware, refrigerator, dishwasher, washer/dryer, yard and outdoor Weber charcoal grill. Access does not include basement-pantry and garage. Couples or single family are preferred, unless otherwise approved by owner. This home is preferably for a quiet stay. It is not an event center, photograph venue, or group gathering place. After an introduction to the house you can enjoy your retreat in privacy. If you'd like more interaction, that's up to you. I'd be happy to point you in the direction of trails or to the nearest candy store, which makes handmade candy in Harrison, MT. Everything is up and down in Pony, so bring your hiking shoes or mountain bike. There are 19 steps from parking to front door, although a steep two track service road may be used to drop off luggage. There may be bee hives located on the property since Nick is a bee keeper. This is a historic pioneer town and an active mining town, which means there may be mining trucks passing on weekdays. Pony Creek Road is a dirt road. Wi-Fi at Harrison Town Haul Diner. The elevation 5,500 ft. The nearest with largest grocery selection is Bozeman or Belgrade, a medium grocery store in Whitehall, and convenience store in Harrison, Norris and Cardwell. Please, no pets, scented candles, incense, air fresheners or laundry soap with strong fragrances. Please abide by these rules to keep the house low allergenic for my next guest. Outside dog okay, dog house with attached leash provided. You may meet my sweet old dog but she travels with me. Pony, Montana is nested at the base of the Tobacco Root mountains, home to numerous mountain lakes where fish are plentiful. It is a prime fishing & hunting destination. On the historic main street there is the Pony Bar with Wi-Fi and weekend evening food, 6 miles away is the Town Haul Diner, Yelp 4.5 stars for good home country cooking + Wi-Fi, and 27 miles is 'Hot Springs of the Gods' hot springs serving which also serves some healthy food. A massage therapist is located two blocks away from this vacation rental and available by appointment. Pony is 52 miles from Gallatin Field Airport (BZN) and Bozeman Montana, you will need to rent a car or drive your own. You can reach this vacation rental and some trailheads with a car, other trailheads require a 4wd. Plenty of places to explore with a four-wheeler or mountain bike.                       Beautiful Montana view, with mountains on all sides and 700ft of excelent river frontage on the Jefferson River at the Jefferson River House. Quiet and peaceful. Newly Remodeled 3 bedroom house. Fenced for horses. Outside pets OK. 4 miles to Renova hot spring and fishing access. 3 miles to Kountz bridge and fishing access. 2 miles to Copper K Barn. This property is a fisherman's dream. You can float to or from the house. The Madison, Big Hole, Beaverhead, Ruby, Gallatin and Missouri Rivers are all close enough to fish and get home in time to catch some more before dark at the house. Close to Lewis and Clark Caverns, good steaks at LaHood and Willow creek, and only 60 miles to Virginia City and 150 miles to Yellowstone Park. This is a good place to hunt from too. There are elk, mule deer, whitetail deer, moose and antelope all within a few miles and it is only a few miles to public ground. Airports are at Butte, 35 miles, and Bozeman, 60 miles. Bars, cafes, gas and groceries at Whitehall, 7 miles.
