A traditional trapper style log Cabin, the perfect base for a Yukon wilderness experience. Located only 40 km from Whitehorse in the Takhini Valley, on a private 10 hectar property. The cabin is set up in a secluded spot, surrounded by open spruce and poplar stands. It is a great place for a retreat with a sauna next to it. It also provides a perfect base for excursions into the nearby Ibex Valley, a canoe trip on the Takhini River or a trip to Kluane National Park.
From the window you look at Pyramid Mountain, the highest Peak of the Ibex Ridge.
Built with round logs by the owner, scribe fit, with lots of attention to detail, this cabin makes you feel like set back into the Gold Rush days. Resembling the structures of trappers, prospectors and wood cutters, it is that simplicity and coziness what makes this cabin so special. With a classic Yukon Stove even in the coldest temperatures you stay warm and comfortable.
Table, Chairs, a bench and a double bed , everything here is custom made, provides room for 2 people. The kitchen area has a spacious counter with a 2 burner propane stove, water jugs and all other cooking and eating necessities
Of course, there is the typical outhouse and 12 volt lights
Next to the cabin, the Yukon sauna with an outdoor shower setup, a fire pit and benches for your campfire/ BBQ experience welcome you.
From the cabin you have access to trails into the backcountry in all seasons.
