The Space1st bedroom sleeps 2 with Double Bed, 2nd bedroom sleeps 3 x single beds and one couch surfer if req'd in the loungeroom. The SpaceBay Vista is a welcoming home with polished floor boards, neutral carpeted bedrooms and a relaxed feel with everything you will need for a very enjoyable stay . North facing large lounge & dining room, adjoining new kitchen with walk in pantry & breakfast bench. Kitchen is complete with all equipment needed for cooking as well as a pod coffee machine and opens onto a welcoming covered deck complete with BBQ, to enjoy relaxing breakfasts, lunches and dinners. There is natural gas heating and air conditioning in the dining area which keeps the whole house warm or cool. There is also and electric panel heater in the hallway to boost the heating in the bedrooms on those really cold days. The lounge room is complete with comfortable couches that fold out to 2 double beds, 2 x bean bags and USB compatible flat screen TV with Foxtel Sports, Movies and basic entertainment channels, a stereo & DVD player. The bedrooms consist of a romantic plush master bedroom with King size bed, a soft and welcoming 2nd bedroom with Queen size bed and a bright and funky 3rd bedroom with 1 x double bed and 1 x Single Bed, Lounge room has 2 x couches that fold out to double beds in the lounge room and 1 x fold out single bed that can be placed where ever you would like it. All of the bedrooms are large, have ceiling fans and their own flat screen TV. A porta cot, high chair, baby bath and stroller are also supplied. The bathroom has a separate shower, bath, vanity basin and a hairdryer and the toilet is in a separate room. Natural gas instantaneous hot water system ensures you never run out of hot water. The laundry includes a washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board. Delightful glimpses of the bay from the front windows and patio provide a peaceful place for an afternoon coffee. From Melbourne you can travel to anywhere in Victoria that has a railway line or to Melbourne Airport. Also just 100 meters to the Bellarine rail trail which offers safe bicycle access to Drysdale, Point Lonsdale and Queenscliff as well as into the Geelong CBD. The SpaceThe apartment is the West wing of the house, including four bedrooms, well stocked kitchenette, two bathrooms with separate toilets, indoor heated pool and spa, large common room with TV, home-theatre, musical instruments, books. Sea and gardens views. Normally three bedrooms are available for use, with a fourth on request. One has a King bed, one a double, one with two singles, the fourth a single-over double. All have large built-in or walk-in wardrobes. We live in the other half of the house, and are generally happy to share facilities such as the large kitchen, laundry, etc if we are at home. Guest AccessAs the property is located directly on the sea, you have access to the private sandy beach and grassy waterfront area, boat ramps and jetty. At low tide you can walk for miles along the beach in either direction. The bay slopes gently with a sandy bottom, so you can paddle board or kayak, sail a yacht or take a Tinny out fishing. Guests have access to heated indoor pool and spa, BBQ, gym equipment, common room. (If not booking entire apartment then these spaces may be shared with other guests) Interaction with GuestsWe are happy to share our home and environs. Tereza is Brazilian and we welcome Portuguese speakers (and others) with traditional Brazilian (and Australian) hospitality! The NeighborhoodWe are within walking distance of some great wineries and the Bellarine Rail Trail, perfect for a peaceful walks or bicycle rides. For the more energetic you can practice your triathlon skills (the road outside the front gate is often used for these races) The village of Drysdale, with supermarkets, shops, restaurants,takeaways and medical facilities, is less than 10 minutes drive. Ocean Grove with its surf beaches is 15 minutes across the peninsula. Drive 20 minutes to pictureque Queenscliffe, with the ferry across to Sorrento, or 20 minutes the other way into Geelong. Avalon Airport is 40 minutes drive, Tullamarine 1hr 40 Adventure Park (Victoria's Biggest Water Theme Park!) is 6 minutes drive, and a short hop across the peninsula get you to Torquay and The great Ocean Road Getting AroundPlenty of parking space on-site. A regular bus service operates along Portarlington Road, with lights, crossing, parking and shelter at the Hermsley Road intersection. (Easy parking for the Rail Trail there too) Taxi from Geelong is around $35, UberX a bit less Other Things to NoteTowels and linen (including pool/beach towels) are provided. Kitchenette with fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, microwave, toaster etc., suitable for preparing breakfast or light meals. Tea, coffee, milk etc. are supplied We are happy to provide a full cooked breakfast (Brazilian or Australian style) in the main kitchen/dining area when we are at home. BBQs (Gas & Electric) are available for use in the pool area, along with outdoor tales and chairs For the kids: We have a limited selection of pool and beach toys (flippers & masks, boogie boards, kayak) for the kids. We've found a night-walk on the jetty, equipped with a lantern to spot the sea critters scuttle about, is quite a hit.
