The SpaceLarge gardens and quiet space. Guest AccessWe can discuss this on an individual basis, but most guests arrive between 7 - 8:30 pm, and leave by 11 in the morning. Sometimes, they like to sit outside in the evening and enjoy the yard. I am always here when guests arrive and leave, as well as when they are onsite. So we co-ordinate that together. Interaction with GuestsMy guests are staying in my home, so we will interact fairly closely. Having said that, I respect my guests' privacy, and let them give the lead on how much they want to interact. So far this has worked very well. The NeighborhoodIt is near to Peggy's Cove, while at the same time being only 15 or 20 minutes to the city. It has a semi-rural feel, is close to nature, and only 5 minutes from the coastline (and one of the most picturesque areas in the Province). For those interested in kayaking, East Coast Outfitters is only minutes away — with all the coves and islands in this area, it's prime for saltwater kayaking. The SpaceThis bright oceanfront chalet is secluded, quiet, all about nature and just 20 minutes to Halifax. 2 bedrooms, open concept, new construction, several decks. It's a great place for hiking, yoga, relaxing and oceanfront living. Never had an unhappy guest, check in! The chalet feels like the middle of nowhere, it is the middle of nowhere, but you can be downtown for all that Halifax has to offer in 25 minutes- great dining, brilliant music, art or business. Some of the furniture is homemade, some modern. Theres a stereo, wifi, woodstove and a well-equiped kitchen with some very rustic features on the outside. The SpaceThe walk out unit is an open concept with about 900 sq ft of living space. Bright and comfy with everything you need to make you feel at home. Guest AccessGuests have access to the beach, wharf, boat house gallery, floating dock for swimming in season, outdoor seated fire pit, lawn games, mountain bikes and a boat ride if the weather is suitable. 2014 we have added two kayaks for your use to enjoy the early morning sunrise and evening sun sets out on the bay. You can end your day on a double wide swing over looking the Bay. Interaction with GuestsWe love meeting new people and will interact as much as our guests would like as we do live on the property. It is our goal to provide comfort, peace and quiet and allow our guests to enjoy their stay at Seaside 224. The NeighborhoodOur neighbourhood is peaceful, friendly and all about the ocean and what it brings. Getting AroundGuests do need their own transporation there is no public transportation. Other Things to NoteWe are smoke and pet free. Upon request before checking in (preferred) or after there is a Licensed Massage Therapist that will come on site and do massages. The SpaceThe house has room for 6 guests (3 bedrooms with queen-size beds). If you need more sleeping space there is one bedroom with a fold down sofa bed, which provides room for one person, or may be 2 kids. Also there is a pull-out sofa bed in the living room for 1-2 more people. Note: There is a separate apartment on the lower level of the house. Both units share the main entrance, but are separated by a staircase. Each unit can also be accessed through different entryways. The apartment is also listed on airbnb. Guest AccessFeel free to use our spacious kitchen to prepare your meals, sit at the big round dining table to eat and relax in the light filled living room with access to the large deck. It is equipped with a full eat-in kitchen, bathroom and separate living/sleeping area. Washer and dryer is also available. Interaction with GuestsWe are available by email and text messaging. Interaction with guests is as much, or as little as everyone feels comfortable with. The NeighborhoodThis is a small former fishing village. Everyone respects their neighbours and environment. There are lots of possibilities to go hiking, bird and seal watching, swimming and lots of space to just enjoy your solitude. Getting AroundThere is public transport about 2km away (bus), but it is highly recommended that you have your own vehicle to get around. Other Things to NoteTV and DVD player is installed. The SpaceFunky open loft space near white sand beaches, 25 minutes from Halifax. Rivers, fishing, swimming, kayaking, biking - all within minutes. The studio/loft building is about 30-40 feet from our part-time home, and is totally private with a sunny deck area and BBQ. The sleeping area is tucked away, quite separate from the kitchen area. The kitchen is stocked with spices and pots and pans - everything you need to feel at home. Guest Accesslarge deck, shared yard, barbecue, bicycles and helmets Interaction with GuestsWe like to help in anyway we can, but we also enjoy our privacy and respect yours! The NeighborhoodSambro Head is the best of both worlds. Stunning scenery, nature, beaches and rivers and all this only 25 minutes from Halifax. Crystal Crescent Provincial park is 5 mins down the road - great hiking and beaching - good for swimming if you don't mind the cold. There are plenty of rivers and lakes for swimming within 5 mins too! Kayak rentals are in Prospect Bay - about 45 min drive. Mishoo's in Sambro - is a small store with bread/milk, and a canteen for fish and chips, pizza and hamburgers - and a liquor store that stays open until 10pm. :) Pavia - in Herring Cove - lovely gallery with AMAZING Italian coffee and paninis is 15 mins back towards Halifax. The NeighborhoodThis home is located in the heart of a picturesque fishing village which is loaded with charm. You can fish off the government wharf, where there is also a boat launch. The playground at the local elementary school is within easy walking distance. There is a convenience store and liquor store within walking distance as well. You can spend the day hiking, lounging and playing at nearby Crystal Crescent Beach. Fresh seafood can be purchased from the nearby fish plant. Getting AroundHalifax public transit buses are available during regular weekdays but not on weekends and holidays Other Things to NoteAdditional discounts will be given to guests wishing to stay with us for an extended multi-month period during the fall/winter/early spring. Perfect for university professors, writers, creatives seeking a quiet retreat. Please inquire. This property is on well water so guests should be mindful and not waste water. It is also on a septic system. Please do not flush foreign objects, paper towel or feminine hygiene products. There is no daily housekeeping service. Linens and bath towels are provided in the home. For extended stays, the Guest will be provided with clean towels and sheets once a week. At the end of your stay, before leaving the home, please ensure it is in the same condition as when you arrived. Wash and thoroughly dry your dishes and put them away in the cupboards. Deposit all waste in the appropriate receptacles. Nova Scotia has a great waste management program. Guides on how to separate waste, recyclables and garbage are provided for your reference. Please follow the guidelines. Failure to clean up or sort your waste may result in a partial loss of your security deposit.

The NeighborhoodThis home is part of a private sub-division and you will love the peace and quiet of the surroundings. You are right next to the water, surrounded by trees, so expect to see wildlife and hear lots of birds. Take a dip from the dock if you want, ( although it is the Atlantic!), or take a deck chair down and watch the sunset. Its a great area to Kayak so bring your own, or you can rent from local kayak companies. Getting AroundYou can get to the house by car from the airport in about 45 minutes. Halifax is also about 45 minutes to downtown. There is enough room for three cars in the driveway, four if you want! Other Things to NoteLiquor store and farmers market is only 12 minutes away! Any indication of smoking within the building will result in an automatic forfeiture of the full amount of the damage deposit. Also, any breakage or damage must be reported immediately to the Lessee or Property Manager. Beach towels are NOT provided and sand in the house is an automatic forfeiture of the damage deposit. Any additional telecommunications required by the Lessee is at his/her expense. In the event of being locked out of the premises or activating the theft alarm (if requested) resulting in a police call, the ensuing charges are the responsibility of the Lessee. The Lessee cannot perform any works on the property without previous consent from the Lessor, in writing, with no compensation due to the Lessee. Any water damage resulting from negligent overflowing of sinks, baths, toilets or rainwater from open windows is the responsibility of the Lessee with any reparations at his/her expense. At the end of this Lease, the Lessee must leave the property, as well as furniture, appliances and contents, in the same state of condition and functionality as when the Lease/Agreement started. The condition of the aforementioned property will be assessed by the Lessor or Property Manager at the beginning and end of a lease. Getting AroundThis is a rural location, so no public transport close by. However, it's about thirty minute drive into major shopping centre

      While this secluded oceanfront chalet in West Pennant is just 25 minutes to the heart of Halifax, it feels like you're a million miles from any city. It's a very secluded old fishing village with lots of incredible outdoor experiences- canoeing, kayaking, hiking, swimming, etc.. The village has only a dozen homes, some of which are occupied only on a seasonal basis. The newly constructed chalet is 1250 ft2 and has an open concept. It's hard to find a spot in the house without a magnificent view of the ocean- very few man made features in the view. The bow shaped house front is covered with south-facing windows. The downstairs has a small but full bathroom, a bedroom, a living room, dining room and full kitchen with granite counter tops, custom furniture, exotic hardwood floors, copper accents, wood stove and lots more. The upstairs is completely open with a claw foot tub, double bed, open bathroom, and great empty loft/sun area that's ideal for yoga, napping, reading, drawing, etc.. If you're looking for privacy, peace of mind, and the ocean, this is the place for you. We've never had an unhappy visitor!

        This cottage offers a spectacular oceanview and is a short walk to the wharf and waterfront. Here you can enjoy watching fish jump and sea birds soar. There are many other enjoyable ways to pass time. It is a 3 min drive to white sandy beaches, coastal hiking trail, lighthouse, and kayak rental, and a 7 min drive to a farm market. There are also golf courses and a driving range within 15 min, and it is a 20 min drive to either Halifax or Peggy's Cove. This cottage, adjacent the property owner, is equipped with most amenities (incl. wireless internet) with the exception of a dishwasher. It has a queen size bed in one room and bunkbeds in the other bedroom with additional sleeping space in a bright roomy loft (king size mattress).

Otherwise, the Cancellation Policy is: • Bookings cancelled at least 30 days before the start of the stay will receive a 50% refund. • Bookings cancelled at least 60 days before the start of the stay will receive a 100% refund. Cancellations must be made by 2359 ADT (Atlantic Daylight Time) on the appropriate day. The damage deposit ($300 in the same denomination of the paid rent) is charged through the booking agency upon payment, and will be returned either partially or in full by the booking agency after an end of lease inspection by the Owner or Property Manager has determined that the property and its contents have been left in the same condition as found at the beginning of the lease period. The property will be in a clean condition upon assuming the lease, and general cleaning of the building during a lease term is the responsibility of the Lessee. Additional cleaning during a lease term can be provided at a charge of $100 per cleaning. This is a period, character building and respect of it is requested. Large gatherings (10+ people) are not permitted. There must absolutely be no smoking in the building, or near open doors or windows. Any indication of smoking within the building will result in an automatic forfeiture of the full amount of the damage deposit. Also, any breakage or damage must be reported immediately to the Lessee or Property Manager. Beach towels are NOT provided and sand in the house is an automatic forfeiture of the damage deposit. Any additional telecommunications required by the Lessee is at his/her expense. In the event of being locked out of the premises or activating the theft alarm (if requested) resulting in a police call, the ensuing charges are the responsibility of the Lessee. The Lessee cannot perform any works on the property without previous consent from the Lessor, in writing, with no compensation due to the Lessee. Any water damage resulting from negligent overflowing of sinks, baths, toilets or rainwater from open windows is the responsibility of the Lessee with any reparations at his/her expense. At the end of this Lease, the Lessee must leave the property, as well as furniture, appliances and contents, in the same state of condition and functionality as when the Lease/Agreement started. The condition of the aforementioned property will be assessed by the Lessor or Property Manager at the beginning and end of a lease.           While this secluded oceanfront chalet in West Pennant is just 25 minutes to the heart of Halifax, it feels like you're a million miles from any city. It's a very secluded old fishing village with lots of incredible outdoor experiences- canoeing, kayaking, hiking, swimming, etc.. The village has only a dozen homes, some of which are occupied only on a seasonal basis. The newly constructed chalet is 1250 ft2 and has an open concept. It's hard to find a spot in the house without a magnificent view of the ocean- very few man made features in the view. The bow shaped house front is covered with south-facing windows. The downstairs has a small but full bathroom, a bedroom, a living room, dining room and full kitchen with granite counter tops, custom furniture, exotic hardwood floors, copper accents, wood stove and lots more. The upstairs is completely open with a claw foot tub, double bed, open bathroom, and great empty loft/sun area that's ideal for yoga, napping, reading, drawing, etc.. If you're looking for privacy, peace of mind, and the ocean, this is the place for you. We've never had an unhappy visitor!

            This cottage offers a spectacular oceanview and is a short walk to the wharf and waterfront. Here you can enjoy watching fish jump and sea birds soar. There are many other enjoyable ways to pass time. It is a 3 min drive to white sandy beaches, coastal hiking trail, lighthouse, and kayak rental, and a 7 min drive to a farm market. There are also golf courses and a driving range within 15 min, and it is a 20 min drive to either Halifax or Peggy's Cove. This cottage, adjacent the property owner, is equipped with most amenities (incl. wireless internet) with the exception of a dishwasher. It has a queen size bed in one room and bunkbeds in the other bedroom with additional sleeping space in a bright roomy loft (king size mattress).

              The house is a beautiful traditional Irish Salt-Box style home just 50 yards from the ocean. It has been renovated and lovingly restored keeping all of its natural light and original charm. It is perfectly positioned near hiking trails, the beaches, and all amenities. It is located in the village of Ketch Harbour - just 15 minutes away from our lovely historic capital city of Halifax. The village is lovely and its residents are wonderful people. The property is available from May - October and is rented by the week however we try to be flexible to accommodate our guests. It is located on southeast coastal approaches of Halifax Harbour. It is a gorgeous drive into city as the road follows the coastline the entire way. There are hiking trails along the Ketch Harbour barrens and cliffs with breath taking ocean views. Crystal Crescent Provincial Park, with its three gorgeous white sand beaches, granite outcroppings and 15 kms of oceanside trails, are minutes away.

              The SpaceThe position of the Cottage between sunrise and sunset is very unique. As soon as you enter you find yourselves in a spacious open plan kitchen, dining and living area. On the main floor is also the main bathroom with shower and bath tub and direct access to the outside deck towards the ocean. You will also find one bedroom and the laundry room on this level. As you walk up to the second floor you see the upper deck and jacuzzi. One bedroom on your right and a huge bedroom on your left with an extra little bathroom with a shower. All bedrooms have a king size bed. There are towels and beach towels for your convenience and enough linen for comfortable bedding. Allow 25 minutes and Bayers Lake Business Park will offer you all shopping facilities as an Atlantic super store , Kent , Home Depot , Sobeys , Walmart , Roots , GAP , sport check and many more ... Don't forget : Halifax downtown with the really awesome waterfront is in a 30 minute distance , Peggy's Cove and Crystal Crescent Beach as well . So , plenty of exciting stuff to do ! Getting AroundYou will need a rental car getting around , explore the beautiful Halifax region and Nova Scotia . Other Things to NoteOcean Cottage has cable TV , fast Internet and WiFi . There is a Nespresso Coffee Maker and it would be wise to bring your own capsules. There are kayaks for you to use but no life jackets. The cottage is working on rain water so you better bring bottled water to drink and cook with.
