There are no grocery stores here so I recommend you stop in Wasilla for your grocery needs. I provide shampoos, soap, Toilet paper, paper towels, spices, coffee and filters, oil for cooking. If you don't have something and I do I would certainly give it to you, there is no need to buy small items I may have. just email or call me if you need too.

Talkeetna just one hour north, Great Fishing at Willow Creek, Deshka Landing, Susitna Landing and Nancy Lake State recreational site. Willow is the Dog Mushing Capital of Alaska so come and take a dog team ride, Or come and see the Official start of the Iditarod race the first weekend in March and watch the teams take off and stay a week more and enjoy playing Golf on Willow Lake in the State of Alaskas Office Ice Golf Tournament.

      The SpaceThe treehouse and deck give one a new perspective that makes you feel like a kid. Our cedar sauna and wood fired cedar hot tub will make you feel refreshed and renewed. The property is very private and insulated on five acres. Guest AccessTreehouse, parking, hot tub, sauna, shower, and outhouse; great hiking nearby; trout fishing down the road. Make sure you bring lunch and dinner. We have a grill, and there is a restaurant within 5 miles. We can provide breakfast at the additional price of $20 for 2; dinner $30 for 2; arranged through the Airbnb site. Stay includes canoe, paddles and life jackets for nearby Nancy Lakes, which is a must see. We have many recommendations. Interaction with GuestsWe are open and friendly for giving travel advice and meeting new people. We also are respectful of privacy. The NeighborhoodWe live in a very quiet neighborhood that is off Willow Fishhook on the way to Hatcher Pass. Great reasons to stay 2 nights: Hot tub; sauna; horse shoes; bocce ball; walk to the creek; fishing; relax on the deck. We have a canoe for you to use on local lakes, and Hatcher Pass is a great place to explore.         Come and get away from it all on this beautiful quiet lakefront property. Only 10 hp engines allowed. This lake is 1 mile across from our dock to the other shore. There are trout in the lake for your fishing enjoyment for the evening. The town of Willow is centrally located to (Hatcher Pass, Independence Mine, Nancy Lake Rec Area, Matanuska Glacier, Denali National Park, Talkeetna) Willow is surrounded by the Talkeetna Mountains to the east and the Alaska Range to the West and North.Willow has many lakes and rivers. The re-start of the world famous IDITAROD TRAIL SLED DOG RACE is 1 mile from rental. Great viewing in the winter of the NORTHERN LIGHTS(Aurora Borealis). Winter activities are snow-machining, snowshoe. Moose are frequent visitors. Enjoy the Lake you can see birds flying, loons nesting, very quiet and relaxing. Checkin time is 3:00pm or after and check out time is 12:00pm or before. If you need different times just ask and I will try to accommodate you depending upon arrival of another guest.           Located in Willow in a Quiet Place Set Apart! We are on a lake with 22 acres to roam with all our cabins set so 1 does not see the others.In the summer we have a private beach and swiming area wih paddle boats and canoes. Trails to stoll and fishing in all the local lakes and streams.In the winter we have over 100 miles of groomed snowmachine and cross county ski trail to get out and explore. You can go dog sledding or just relaxe in our hottub.We have 3 lake front cabins with all the things you need. From full kitchens to color TVs and even a BBQ down at the beach.WE ARE A GREAT PLACE FOR FAMILYS!!!! Weekends are a 2 night Min. Muti. night stays get a reduced rate!!!! Rates are based on two people. Extra Adults $10 per night. Kids and pets $10 per night. We are about 1 1/2 hours from Anchorage. About 70 miles When you hit Willow watch for Long Lake Road on your left, turn and go in about 3miles to Honey Bee Lake Dr. Where there is one of our signs on the far side of the Honeybee sign post. Turn left again come in 1 mile and we are on the right!

There are 2 houses on the 27 acres which are private from each other, with separate/private driveways. The river is accessible for most people. Getting AroundRental car necessary. No public transportation. This is rural Alaska. Road to rental is 5 miles off main Parks Hwy. Road is paved all the way to driveway entrance to rental. Winter months; road is state maintained & we keep driveway plowed. Other Things to NoteThings provided: variety of spices, canister of coffee, coffee filters, drip coffee maker & toaster. Kitchen is well stocked with all dishes & utensils for cooking, serving & eating. All linens provided for bedrooms, bathroom & kitchen. Toilet paper(for whole stay), paper towel roll, garbage bags(for whole stay) provided. We do trash pick-up. Liquid hand soap provided. Upstairs there are three sleeping areas: a private small bedroom, a large master bedroom and an open loft above the master bedroom with space for two full-size mattresses. Access to the upper level is via a hallway staircase with 13 steps. Access to the loft is by ladder. ***Price includes the 5% bedtax collected by the MatSu Borough. Guest AccessGuests will have access to the entire home, seated on nearly one acre of land, easily accessed approximately 1 mile off of the main highway. The deli, Roni's, is a local gem - small, great food and pizza. Getting AroundPublic transportation is limited. Most traveleres will want to have their own vehicle, although reasonable bus service is possible to coordinate between Anchorage and the property. Once here, you will be limited on what to do / where to go without a vehicle. Other Things to NoteMosquitos! We are near water and you will encounter them. Best to come prepared with bug spray, or appropriate clothing. Also - if you like to have big roarding campfires this is not the space for you. We are in a high-fire zone, and in the interest of safety and respect for our neighbors we curtail campfires during the summer. We do have a charcoal grill you can use for outdoor grilling. To recap: NO open pit fires. NO fireworks. Pets: should be leashed or on excellent voice command. We are in an area where mushers live, bears, moose and eagles occasionally pass through, and we also take care to be good neighbors and not have pets wander into their property.

One large upstairs loft is outfitted with four single beds, the other loft is outfitted with full-size ping-pong and air hockey tables, plus two extra twin mattresses. Extra pillows and blankets are available in storage areas upstairs. The large, private, upstairs bedroom is furnished with one queen bed, side table, dresser, and small TV with DVD player. The main living room has a full-sized leather couch, sofa hide-a-bed, and two arm chairs. You're welcome to start a fire in wood stove if you like (firewood provided). The TV picks up several local stations, or you can watch DVDs on the DVD player. We keep movies on hand for you to sift through and watch, if you like. WiFi with 2MB service is provided, but we have limited data usage, so please limit streaming video. Nearby Sheep Creek Lodge has free WiFi as well; enjoy a cup of coffee or nachos while you surf. Phone service is turned on during summer season with free local and long distance. A large covered back porch has both a propane BBQ and a Traeger smoker/grill. A large table and set of eight chairs makes for a great grilling and entertaining setup for large groups. You can also enjoy a cup of morning coffee and listen to the birds while you rock in one of the two rocking chairs. A fire pit at the back of the property is a great place to enjoy the outdoors, roast some hotdogs, or make some s’mores. Seats 10 comfortably. Firewood is provided. A very popular area for hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, and snow-machining, with convenient access to Denali (Mt. McKinley), Willow (Iditarod) and Talkeetna (a popular tourist-trap). Many of our 2016 renters used the home as a base for day and overnight trips to Denali National Park. Talkeetna, a popular tourist destination with air/river/atv tours available, is only 30 miles away and makes a great day visit. Upper and Middle Caswell Lakes are nearby (within 2 miles) and have public access. Middle Caswell Lake is stocked by Alaska Department of Fish and Game. Salmon fishing is nearby at Willow Creek (20 miles) and Montana Creek (15 miles). We keep basic fishing gear at the cabin for our guest, we just ask that you if you break it or lose it, you pay to replace it. The NeighborhoodThe Caswell Lakes subdivision is located in the heart of a prime recreational area. Located between Willow and Talkeetna, residents enjoy boating, fishing, snow machining, hunting, and riding ATVs. The cabin is located 5 miles off the highway (the last mile being gravel). There are several lakes with public access nearby. Spectacular views of Denali can be seen between Willow and Talkeetna. Sheep Creek Lodge, a great place to grab a meal, is 5 miles away. We enjoy driving around looking at the various cabins in the area. Note that Denali Park entrance is still 120 miles to the north. Nearest towns are Willow (15 miles south) and Talkeetna (30 miles north.) Anchorage is just under 2 hour drive to south.
