Cabin on the Trinity River with Private Beach - Sun & River Fun! 1 bedroom cabin with nice deck & kitchen. Nice deck and BBQ for sitting outside and a private trail down to the river. Located in the town of Salyer which is about 5 min to Willow Creek. Great for a romantic retreat, a few days of unwinding, or for the avid sport fishing enthusiast, and of course perfect for kayaking, rafting, or tubing down the Trinity River! The cabin has a nice bedroom with a queen bed, full bathroom, and nice size eat in kitchen.
Please note that the trail down to the river is steep in some spots where we have a rope for you to hold onto. It is not an easy trail. There are other places that you can drive to nearby with easy river access.
This is a really nice destination anytime of the year. Rural and quiet but easily accessed from Hwy 299 which runs inbetween Hwy 5 and Hwy 101. The town of Willow Creek has markets, farmer's market, and restaurants, as well as rafting outfits where you can do it yourself or go with a guide. Lots of great hiking nearby and not far from the Trinity Alps or Trinity Lake for a nice day trip, or about an hour from the coast with beautiful Arcata, Old Town Eureka, Trinidad, Ferndale & the Redwood National Park @ Prarie Creek. Don't miss the annual Taste of Willow Creek festival which is a great event featuring wine tasting from local wineries, craft booths and hors d'oeuvres, exiting events, activities and food offerings. Another fun event taking place every September is Bigfoot Days, a festival celebrating the local legend.
