Situated on an old farm complete with a small barn, vintage water tanks, chicken coops, several old outbuildings and the original rock farmhouse, our modern guest house offers a wireless internet connection, flat screen television, a microwave, toaster, small refrigerator, coffeemaker and plenty of dishes and silverware (but not a full kitchen.) There is an adorable upstairs loft-room with a queen-sized bed. Downstairs there is a full bath with a bathtub, a couch that makes into a bed, dining table and lots of interesting books and magazines to inspire you. The cottage has central air and heat to keep you comfortable in all seasons. We have a large garden on our property and free-ranging chickens. Our family lives in the rock farmhouse which is near the guest house and we have two young children that enjoy having visitors and playing on the land. The Wimberley town square is only 10 minutes away and our guest house is a 5 minute drive to Wimberley market days. We are located on the road to Blanco and are very close (in country miles) to Jacob's Well, Fischer Hall, Red Corral Ranch, Bella Vista Olive Mill and Winery, Texas Specialty Cut Flowers and many other interesting sites out here in the hill country. Guest AccessGuests can wander around our entire 5 acres and enjoy time outside in several outdoor seating areas. Interaction with GuestsWe live in the rock farmhouse that is only steps away from our guesthouse. We share the same parking area and road with the guests and often say "hi" to folks coming and going, or just hanging out on the land. It is super easy for our guests to have a private, quiet time here with limited interaction from us as well. We are a busy family that comes and goes quite a bit ourselves! Other Things to NoteWe do have a friendly cat and chickens that occasionally free range our property.

The SpacePaper Moon is a lovely log cabin nestled amongst oaks and elms in the quiet countryside, just 1.5 miles from downtown Wimberley. You’ll cross a scenic low water crossing over Pierce Creek, a wet-weather creek that runs through the front of the property, as you drive in. This spacious cabin was lovingly hand-built by a local Wimberley couple in 1985, and has been recently renovated by the current owners while retaining its rustic charm. It’s an ideal spot for family and friend gatherings, but also perfect for a romantic couple’s retreat. You can make the short drive into town for the wonderful shopping and dining in Wimberley, or you can stay at the cabin and soak up the serenity. Watch the deer graze as you enjoy your morning coffee from the front porch rocking chairs, have a family bbq on the spacious covered deck, roll a cooler out to the veranda and enjoy an evening in the hot tub and around the fire pit, or just snuggle up inside by the wood burning stove and feel the stress of your daily life melt away. At Paper Moon you get the privacy and serenity of a country home with all the amenities of modern life. The house has two baths, two bedrooms (king bed, queen futon, queen bed), and a large loft (queen bed). Add that to the charming living room with a fold-out couch and wood burning stove, a dining room with seating for 8, a hot tub, abundant outdoor seating, a fire pit, and the large covered deck with a bbq pit, and you’ve got the perfect space for your vacation! At Paper Moon the owners are environmentally conscious. They offer full recycling, use environmentally friendly dish and laundry soap, provide recycled paper products, provide a water filtration pitcher to eliminate the need for bottled water, and landscape with native low-water plants. The name Paper Moon comes from a popular portrait fad that began in the late 19th century. It was an inexpensive and fun way to have one’s portrait taken and paper moon booths were often set up at fairs and carnivals. We enjoy these vintage portraits which often depict folks with big grins having a good time, unlike traditional portraits of the time. As you meander from room to room in our charming cabin you’ll find vintage paper moon photos hanging on the walls. We are confident that Paper Moon will exceed your expectations. The owners really go out of their way to add those special touches to make your trip complete, such as providing firewood for the fire pit, and keeping the kitchen stocked with condiments and basics that you may have forgotten. You won’t want to leave Paper Moon, but you can always come back for another visit! Pet policy: Pets allowed at $50 per pet and we ask that you leave cash or check for the pet fee with the keys upon checkout. Pets must be declared to the owners in advance, preferably at the time of booking. We ask that if dogs are left unattended at the cabin that they be crated. Thanks!

The SpaceLooking for a peaceful place to relax by the water in the Texas Hill Country? Welcome to Serenity River Retreat, a unique and modern home on 12 acres along the Blanco River in Wimberley, TX. Our family built this wonderful property as a place to gather with family and friends and we would like to share it with you. This spacious house is perfect for family and friends gatherings or special events like a girls weekend, birthday getaway, or a wedding. Take a walk though our 12 acres, watch the deer graze as you enjoy your morning coffee, have a family BBQ, sit and relax on the long porch as you gaze at the river, play with your kids in the spacious yard, and cool off in the Blanco River. The house is actually 3 different structures connected by a long porch. Main House - This building contains a kitchen, dinning area, and living room. This is where people gather to eat, play games, and converse. Guest House - This building has two bedrooms, a living room, and a full bath. One bedroom has a queen-size bed and the other bedroom has two twin beds. The couch in the living room folds out into an additional bed. Hideaway House - The building contains two bedrooms and two full baths. One bedroom has a king bed and the other bedroom has two twin beds. ==== WEDDINGS & EVENTS ==== We are not currently accepting bookings for weddings or special events. ==== WHAT OUR GUESTS ARE SAYING ==== We had a great time at Serenity Retreat! All the logistics were super easy and Sean even went out ahead of time to chill some water bottles and turn the AC down - a huge plus in August! The property was just as it is presented and worked perfectly for two families of 4. Plenty of space to spread out and do your own thing or gather as a group. The kitchen was perfectly sized for gathering and group meal preparation. We couldn't have asked for a better way to end the summer. - Maggie, August 2014 My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The house was amazing and we loved the set up. It worked out well for us to have my in-laws in the Hideaway and our family (2 adults & 3 kids) in the Guest House. Sean and Rae Ann have stocked the house with everything we could need - no lack for linens, towels, or kitchen tools. Town isn't too far away, but sitting on the porch looking at the river you feel as though you're hundreds of miles from anywhere. It is very peaceful there - my sons really enjoyed feeding the deer, exploring the river, chasing the frogs, playing frisbee on the lawn, and just relaxing on the futon in the screened-in porch. - Stefani, July 2014 Sean was nice to meet me ahead of time to check out his place. This house was exactly what we needed for our reunion with cousins. Everything worked well. We enjoyed a dip in the river and there was plenty of room to spread out to visit with each other. The kitchen had the essentials for our meals. The lawn was neatly cut and we appreciated the house. - Andy, July 2014 The Serenity Retreat home was perfect in so many ways! The host Sean made the rental process easy and the property provided all the essentials for a relaxing weekend on the river. The home itself is perfect for small groups…the layout really lends itself to an engaging open environment with friends. Hence, the kitchen was large and had bar stool style seating around the center island and was open to the dinning/living room area. Also the outdoor deck runs the entire length of the home which was very cool. Windows everywhere so lots of natural light and an open refreshing feel. Also the guest quarters are in a separate part off the main house so while some friends stayed up talking others could turn in for the night without notice or "i'm trying to sleep" issues. Location is great. Very private feel and right on the river. 10-15 min drive into Wimberley. Can't beat it. It is a great place and not the typical ma and pa honky-tonk style texas cabin aesthetic that dominates the hill country. - Zane, July 2014 Guest AccessGuest will have access to: • Access to the Blanco River • Four bedrooms: 1)King 2)queen 3)2 twin beds, 4)2 twin beds. There is also a queen sleeper sofa in sitting area of the guest house. • Two full baths and one half bath • Dining area with seating for eight • Satellite television • DVD player • Large porch with seating • Keurig Coffee Maker • Refrigerator • Stove/Oven • Microwave • Dishwasher • Pots and Pans • Fully Equipped Kitchen • Ample supply of towels and linens • Fireplace • CD Player • Charcoal Grill • Smoke Detectors • Fire Extinguisher • First Aid Kit Interaction with GuestsJust your group will be on the property. The owners really go out of their way to add those special touches to make your trip complete, such as leaving fresh eggs from their hens in the fridge (when the chickens can keep up) and local, organic coffee. You won’t want to leave Three Graces, but you can always come back for another visit! Note: We have a two night minimum policy, but when there is a single night gap in the schedule we are willing to accept single night bookings for an additional $25. Pet policy: Pets allowed at $50 per pet and we ask that you leave cash or check for the pet fee with the keys upon checkout. Pets must be declared to the owners in advance, preferably at the time of booking. We ask that if dogs are left unattended at the cabin that they be crated and that they remain on leash while on our property if they might be inclined to chase a cat, chicken or child. Thanks! Interaction with GuestsWe strive to give our guests as much privacy as possible during their stay. However, we love to meet new people, so if you see us in passing and are feeling friendly, don't hesitate to strike up a conversation!

The SpaceOur cottage has one private bedroom and a semi-private loft bedroom upstairs. Both rooms have queen beds. There's also a queen size sleeper sofa, (and these are never real comfy, are they)? They're fine for young people. However, our beds are really comfy. We do allow dogs, but there is a charge for them. So when you Request to Book, please tell me so I can add the dogs. The fee is $35 for the first dog and $20 for the second. You'll also need to pay for guests five and six. It's $20 per person, per night. We don't do one-night bookings on Friday and Saturday nights. Please don't request to book one night on these nights. If you need one night for Sunday through Thursday nights, ask. :) We will consider it. There's free wireless Internet, Direct TV, washer and dryer, and a full kitchen with a full-size fridge. There's plenty of parking available in the driveway. Please contact us to hear more about our place. It's right down the street from our full-time home, where we've had a bed and breakfast for 14 years. We enjoy helping people get to know Wimberley and the beautiful Blanco River, but we also respect their privacy. You're on your own unless you ask. You can search Ramsay's Cozy Cottage in Wimberley to see photos of this place and also Ramsay House B&B. Please do keep in mind that this is Wimberley, and this neighborhood literally grew up from campsites in the early '70s to what it is today. It's funky and wonderful, and there's no better place to get in the river than one of our two coveted waterfront parks. We pay our neighborhood association per year for our guests to have access to these parks; otherwise, it's off limits to the public! So here's your chance to wade and float and fish and swim in the Beautiful Blanco River and literally walk back and forth to your cottage for a nap in between trips. Come see us! Warmest regards, Cynthia and Charles Ramsay You can barbecue or just sit by an outdoor fire pit (check the local burn ban before starting a fire, please). The hot tub is right next to the cottage. Wimberley shopping is nearby, just a few minutes away. Though we would love to greet our cottage guests, they come in at different times, and we don't know when they arrive because we can't see the cottage from our home just up the street. We enjoy meeting guests and helping them, so we're always open to their calls. We travel ourselves, and if we're not here, there will be someone available to help you if you have a question. Please bring extra towels for the hot tub and robes if you want them. Extra paper towels and tp are in the little building out back. Leave your valuables at home! We won't be responsible for them. Thank you for your consideration. Cynthia and Charles Ramsay Guest AccessThe cottage is situated across the street from the beautiful Blanco River in Wimberley, Texas, just like many of the homes along River Road. It's pure magic! The lot across the street isn't ours, so please walk out the cottage front door, down to the road (Edgewater), turn right (west) and walk about 100 yards ti the gate that says no tresspassing. Unlock the gate with the key that is provided and lock it back behind you. Or you can put the youth kayaks and paddles in your vehicle and drive down there. Or walk or drive to the end of Edgewater and River Road and use the large park. The entrance is off of River Road. You'll have the hot tub all to yourselves! Interaction with GuestsIf we're home, we would love to meet you. If you need us, just text or call. The NeighborhoodI love that this is not a cookie cutter neighborhood. It has its own special thumbprint, and there is nothing out there like it. If you're coming to be four miles from the downtown square, four miles to the grocery store, two minutes to get in the river, both shallow and deep, then you've found a delightful destination. Children and pets are welcome. There is a small pet fee for up to two dogs. Please be accurate in how many are staying in our unit and about your dogs. Thank you! Cynthia Getting AroundThere's no public transit here! Other Things to NotePlease read the details about the cottage thoroughly. It answers most of your questions. Then fill out the booking form and include ALL the guests and pets, including any day guests. It should auto-calculate the information. If at that point you're interested, go ahead and send us a request for availability. Thanks so much for your interest in our cozy cottage. We know you'll love it as much as we do!

The SpaceLittle Chapel accommodates up to 4 guests in a private bedroom with a Queen bed; a single bed in the bay window and a single bed in the loft. The ambience is soothing to the soul with an abundance of romantic touches throughout including stained glass windows, a natural wood burning fireplace, a six foot antique claw foot tub (and shower) for your soaking pleasure and a private porch for wining and dining. Come alone or with one you love and stay a spell...you will be grateful to have done so, and, like others, will return again & again! Guest AccessWading in the creek, wining and dining out on the deck or lawn, hiking/biking the hills on our private road that extends 4.5 miles and so much more awaits you being just 3 short miles from downtown Wimberley. Interaction with GuestsUpon request only. I am not typically on the property but can be at a moments notice if needed. The NeighborhoodMy neighborhood is spectacular! It is quiet, boasts of incredible sunrises and sunsets; clearly displays abundant starry skies at night and offers all the incredible sites and sounds of the country and wildlife, all happy to be singing their songs of JOY! I still have to pinch myself to be reminded that the miracle of being here is real. It is heaven on earth to me and I think it will be for you too! Getting AroundNo public transit is available but plenty of opportunities to find classy transportation to the cities, airports and all the Hill country Vineyards, among other things! Other Things to NoteWimberley has long been known as a place on this earth that is divinely aligned with the energy of healing. Folks often arrive, not knowing exactly what they are looking for or even why they came and they soon realize that they were seemingly led here to clear away the cares of yesteryear and to begin anew. Songs and creative expression are inspired, relationships are healed and rekindled and shifts in life are prompted...effortlessly, as a result of settling down to recognize how grounded and real we can become anew when settled in to be fully embraced by natural beauty and abundantly organic surroundings. Jacobs Well, Blue Hole and Mount Baldy are not to be missed if you appreciate both the healing properties of water and expansive views of the hills. Each destination is subtlety stimulating to all of your senses and will serve as a beautiful imprint, firmly planted in your mind and heart to sustain that deep peace within as you return home.

The SpaceNicknamed "Honky Chateau" after an Elton John song, we have a newly constructed loft with reclaimed wood floors, vaulted ceilings, recessed and natural lighting, art deco and vintage fixtures and furnishings. The loft is located on the top floor of our guesthouse. The loft and guesthouse house are nearby but detached from the main house and private for our air BnB guest's use only. There is WiFi and a 44-inch flat-screen TV, DVD/CD with surround sound and Roku for streaming Netflix! There are also DVD's with great movies and Rock N Roll Documentaries! We have a vintage turntable and large LP collection, which will make your experience here very unique! If you don't know how to operate a record player, let us know so we can show you and prevent operational damage. JUST Added! An ATARI 2600 with classic games like Pac Man, Frogger, Dig Dug, Galaxian, Donkey Kong, Star Wars, etc.! There is no kitchen; however, there is a 1/2-size refrigerator, microwave, and coffee pot. There is also a small picnic area. We have private River access 1/4-mile away and we are centrally located in town but the Loft backs up to views of the Hill Country. The loft is perfect for a couple. (Please note that we also have a vintage camper named "Sheila" with full kitchen as a separate listing on Airbnb.) Our convenient yet secluded location allows you to be connected and disconnected all at the same time. Please read the reviews to understand the uniqueness of your stay. Here's a recent review that sums it up...John and Robyn's "Honky Château" is exactly the kind of place Airbnb was made for. The loft caters to music lovers and creators like myself and, in my opinion, is better than described. The loft and the open spaces of Wimberley are something I will long to experience again." Also, we feed our native deer and turkeys and therefore, wildlife roam our property, they wait to be fed near our door like pets! So, if you like eccentric, unique places to stay in one of the most popular Texas destinations, this place is for you! Guest AccessThe loft is located on our 1-3/4 acre property in the center of town. However, the upper floor loft is very private and there is parking on-site in a "guest parking" designated space so there is plenty of autonomy and privacy. Enjoy our private and gorgeous Blanco River access just walking distance away (1/4-mile), Farm-to-Table restaurants and unique shopping 3/4- to 1-mile away. Our little town is hopping all year round! Legendary Swimming Holes, Jacob's Well, Blue Hole, and Little Arkansas are located in Wimberley. Wimberley voted No. 2 of top ten Best swimming holes in Texas in 2013! Christmas in Wimberley is also a very popular time of year with the Trail of Lights, Xmas Market Day, and unique shopping and events. Gruene Hall is a 30 minute drive, Austin is a 40 minute drive, Fredericksburg is an hour drive! But there is so much to do here, you will likely not be road-tripping! Interaction with GuestsWe provide plenty of interaction to guests, but we always err on the side that assumes that our guests enjoy privacy. We are involved parents with active children and we have a full calendar as artists. However, you will see from our reviews that we are very attentive and can be available in minutes and guests are very happy with the level of service we provide as Superhosts. If we can't be there at check-in, easy instructions will be provided. If there is anything that you want and don't have, or can't find, or you need help with directions or fun / cool things to do, please ask!! We want you to leave Happy and come back and see us! Communication is so important and we want to hear from you if we can help make your stay more comfortable! The NeighborhoodWe love our neighborhood - it has a classic small town / very quiet vibe. Although the majority of homes in the area were built in the 1970's, our property is newer, secluded and set off of the main road. We back up to uninhabited hill country and wildlife is everywhere. We have wild but almost too friendly, deer, turkey and guineas. Sometimes you may hear the coyotes cry at night. This is a remote property, but still conveniently located! Walk to the river just down the hill, or bring your bikes for a quick stroll into town. Everything is very close by. Getting AroundPlease note that our river access is 1/4-mile away and along River Road. Most people have no trouble strolling for 1/4-mile, but if walking / strolling isn't your thing, bring your bicycle! We also have two bikes for rent. Other Things to NoteHowdy! For some reason, the biggest issues that we run into on a regular basis are guests showing up with extra people, pets and vehicles. Please read our house rules on these items. No pets, no extra people, no guests or friends that are not on the reservation, no additional vehicles at any time. This is private property. ***Any damage or need for excessive cleaning will result in claim of partial or full deposit. Please use our space and property with love. Thank you so much!!! Did you know???? 1.The Property is owned, operated and made-ready by local Wimberley artists. 2.The mahogany walls, oak floors & bathroom fixtures are reclaimed from turn-of-the century anchor-T ranch in Medina, TX 3.Our record collection spans 70 years and includes genre from blues, bluegrass, country, rock, comedy, Americana, big band, and rare bootlegs 4.The property has an organic garden...fresh veggies and canned charcuterie will be offered for a surcharge. Inquire within! 5.This is a super-host Airbnb property! We pride ourselves on personal touch and sharing our eccentric atmosphere with our guests 6.Book our vintage trailer also on AirBnB! If you have more people in your party, we have a vintage camper named “Sheila" also on the property. She is A restored 1955 Cree Travel trailer that is “Sin on Wheels". She has a full kitchen, grill, fire pit, vintage board games, vinyl & organic artisan goods! This vintage camper experience would need to be booked through AirBnb and is not included in this listing. 7.Our fav spots are: •leaning pear on a Tuesday for $3 wine night and farm-to-table vibe •the devil's backbone tavern, the jukebox is awesome, shuffleboard is fierce competition, but the coolness of this beer joint is pure Americana (ask for a tour of the abandoned dancehall) •Jacob's Well for an amazing wonder and swim •Blue Hole for rope swing action & sun bathing •the Corral Theater for a Drive-in (sort-of) 50's movie experience •Wimberley Trail of Lights in December The furnishings are one of a kind and vintage. PLEASE help us keep our groovy space groovy. Be mindful of antique items, particularly our vinyl record collection and portable LP player and treat them with care. Don't move furniture, as it will scratch our reclaimed oak.

Just please know that if you book this house in its entirety, you won't see us because you're staying in the whole house. :) We love to travel also and are most likely off on another adventure. If you want to book the b&b, please look for Ramsay House B&B. Back to what's available to you when you book our entire place: You can relax on the terrace and front patio and enjoy the powerful hot tub, grill and outdoor areas. The SpaceThe Wimberley Retreat offers a unique experience with a custom built 5 bedroom/5 bath house with luxurious pool and spa that sits on 10 private acres with access to 600 feet of deep river frontage on the Blanco River. The house is a custom built stone and stucco home designed by Chagnon Architecture with 3400 square feet of living space and an additional 1500 square feet of covered porch for extended living space. Five bedrooms and 5 full baths allow for ultimate flexibility to cater to large families, reunions, girls weekends or just folks trying to escape to the Texas Hill Country. Opposite the house and across the river is a cliff that overlooks the property and allows for ideal privacy and quiet. Few other homes are in sight, allowing the stars to shine bright at night. Escape the city pace and traffic for relaxation on the river or by the pool, with family or friends or co-workers. Have coffee on wraparound covered porch in the morning while a flock of wild turkeys roam the yard or several deer drink from the river. Enjoy an evening drink under the stars or next to the stone fireplace on the porch. The river itself has something for all ages with shallow areas perfect for small children as well as several deep swimming areas of 4-5 feet in depth. We are lucky to be located on a part of the Blanco that has deep water even in extended drought periods. The private grassy ten acres of The Wimberley Retreat provide more than enough room for everyone to run, play, throw a ball or frisbee, have a kickball game, or just explore the wonders of nature: birds, fish, turtles, frogs, lizards, butterflies, and wildflowers. Some fishing and butterfly nets are provided. Feel free to bring your fishing poles, river shoes, kayaks and canoes. The pavilion area is situated about 50 yards from the house and provides additional gathering space and activities for the group. It has additional dining and seating space overlooking the Blanco River below, a fire pit for night time s'mores creations and an adjustable Goalrilla basketball goal for pick up basketball games. The Wimberley Retreat house is perfect for large gatherings. The great room, with cypress wood accent wall and several huge windows facing the pool and bluff, has a 65" flat screen TV with Sonos sound system and is open to the kitchen and dining area seating 14. The outdoor covered porch has a dining table for 8, a breakfast table for 4 as well as several lounging areas and built in sound system. The kitchen is equipped with all appliances, extensive food and drink preparation and serving ware, and indoor/outdoor dishes to accommodate any large meal. Each of the 4 large private bedrooms have attached full bathrooms. The 5th bedroom is also what we call the Bonus Room and includes a cypress wood accent wall, 55" flat screen TV and cypress wood barn doors that can be locked for privacy. An additional full bath with walk in shower is just outside the Bonus Room. The Bonus Room also can provide additional gathering space and has toys and games for both kids and adults alike. Use the queen sized sleeper sofa in the Bonus Room for additional sleeping space. There are 3 king beds, 2 queen beds and 2 twin beds in total, along with the queen sleeper sofa in the Bonus Room/5th bedroom. Movies, books, coloring books, puzzles, and games for all ages are in the Bonus Room closet, along with a cable TV and music system. Whether you are planning a mini-reunion, ladies getaway trip, couples gathering, team-building session for a small group, multi-generation family gathering, shopping or winery tour, or celebrating a special birthday or milestone, the Wimberley Retreat provides all of the privacy, space, and amenities your group will need. Area Attractions: Explore the areas around Wimberley including the Blue Hole park for another great swimming area. Or visit Gruene, TX and the historic Gruene Hall and the Guadalupe River where tubing opportunities are plentiful; Visit the Driftwood and Duchman wineries nearby or partake in some stellar Texas BBQ at the Salt Lick. There are plenty of opportunities for dining and shopping in town or visit the San Marcos outlet stores 15 miles away. Or try other outdoor activities such as a zipline adventure, trips to the local state parks such as Pedernales Falls State Park and Enchanted Rock or even road biking many of the beautiful roads in the area. The SpaceEdelweiss is a lovely country home on the banks of beautiful Smith Creek, yet only minutes from the fabulous shopping and dining of downtown Wimberley. This spacious house is perfect for family and friend gatherings. Take a stroll through the 12 acres of creek side nature (2 private, 10 shared with the owners), watch the deer graze as you enjoy your morning coffee, strum your guitar beside the fire pit, challenge your friends to a game of pool, watch your kiddos play in the tree house, have a family bbq on the gorgeous back deck, snuggle up by the fireplace with a cup of hot cocoa, and feel the stress of your daily life melt away. The name Edelweiss belongs to a delicate white flower that grows in the Alps, made famous in The Sound of Music. From the morning songs of the sweet, chirping birds to the evening orchestra courtesy of the frogs and toads along the creek, we like to say that the Hill Country is alive with the sound of music! Here you get the privacy and serenity of a country home with all the amenities of modern life, including wifi. During the house remodel the kitchen was built from scratch, and some of the furniture was hand made by the owner, a professional woodworker. The house has two and a half baths, three bedrooms (king, queen, and three twin beds), plus a large game room with two queen futons, games for kids of all ages, and a pool table. Add that to the spacious living room with a fold-out couch, dining room with a table for 8, and the large deck with a beautiful hand-made picnic table, and you’ve got the perfect space for your family and friend retreat! At Edelweiss the owners are environmentally conscious. They offer full recycling, use environmentally friendly dish soap, provide recycled paper products, offer a reverse-osmosis filtration system to eliminate the need for bottled water, and landscape minimally with native low-water plants. If you plan to visit in the summer with children, you might also be interested in enrolling in one of the owner’s fun art classes next door. Jennifer, a TX certified art teacher, offers the best creative summer camps for small, peaceful groups in her creek side studio. Check out her offerings for kids ages 6+ at Agua Fresca Studios. We are confident that Edelweiss will exceed your expectations. Just read some of the comments from the previous guests. The owners really go out of their way to add those special touches to make your trip complete, such as keeping the kitchen stocked with condiments and basics that you may have forgotten. When their chickens can keep up you’ll even find fresh, organic eggs in the fridge. You won’t want to leave Edelweiss, but you can always come back for another visit! Pet policy: Pets allowed at $50 per pet and we ask that you leave cash or check for the pet fee with the keys upon checkout. Pets must be declared to the owners in advance, preferably at the time of booking. We ask that if dogs are left unattended at the home that they be crated and that they remain on leash when outside the fenced yard if they might be inclined to chase a cat, chicken or child. Thanks! Guest AccessAmenities: •Three bedrooms: king, queen, and 3 twins, plus 2 queen futons in game room, and queen sofa sleeper in living room •Two full baths and 1 half bath •Dining area with a table for eight •Wifi •Satellite Television •Large deck with ample seating •Coffee Pot •Refrigerator •Stove/oven •Microwave •Dishwasher •Pots & Pans •Fully equipped kitchen •Ample supply of Towels & Linens •Washer & Dryer •Iron & Ironing board •Hair Dryer •Gas Log fireplace •2 Televisions •DVD •CD/Aux Player •Pool Table •Charcoal Grill •Fire Pit with chairs •Large, fenced backyard •Lovely creek view from backyard (steeper bank, not easy access here) •Creek access from shared property •We strive to keep a supply of firewood for our guests, but can’t guarantee it. You can always find firewood at the Exxon station on RR12, if needed. Interaction with GuestsThis home sits on two private acres and we allow our guests as much privacy as possible. We also invite guests to explore our 10 shared acres next door, and are happy to strike up a conversation in passing. We love meeting new people! Other Things to NoteThere is a lovely creek view from the backyard, but the bank is steeper here and access down to the water is not super easy. There are multiple easy creek access points on the shared 10 acres, though. While our creek is a year 'round creek, our extended Texas drought has taken its toll on area springs and water levels can fluctuate during hot, dry spells.

The SpaceGaze at a gorgeous sunset or sunrise on the river or from the picnic table on the bluff above. Grab your rod and discover what Flyfishing magazine called 'one of the best fly fishing spots in Texas, on the Blanco River.' Take a swim in the clear blue waters of the Blanco River. Enjoy a picnic or a nap or a book along its banks. Dine in the covered porch watching the deer graze and maybe see the rare violet-ear hummingbirds that have been known to visit. Get cozy on those cold nights in front of a warm fire from the beautiful rock fireplace in the living room. You will find a wonderful, large outdoor hot tub right off the covered porch. It is a private place to unwind while admiring the brilliant stars above and the quiet solitude of Shade Ranch. Little House on the Blanco @ Shade Ranch has so much to offer with its 25 peaceful acres, private river access, a fully equipped kitchen, open dining areas inside or on the covered porch (with Weber propane grill), and a large bedroom with a queen size comfortable bed. There is also a great stone fire pit with stone benches, perfect for roasting marshmallows or warming up on a cool Hill Country evening. Located only 5 minutes from Wimberley Square, this home completes the perfect hill-country getaway without sacrificing any of the charm (or shopping opportunities) that Wimberley has to offer. And with high-speed/wireless Internet and satellite TV, you won't sacrifice the conveniences of modern technology, either. There is also a larger 3 bedroom house on the same property. The houses are completely separate and don't share anything other than the acreage. The houses sit approximately 100 yards apart and have a bank of cedar trees and a large cedar privacy fence that sit between the houses and create separate areas for privacy. Guest AccessGuests have full access to the house and our 25 acres and 513 feet of Blanco Riverfront. We periodically have cattle on a portion of the property and just ask guests to help keep the internal gate closed. But you can feel free to explore the land as you see fit. Interaction with GuestsI provide guests with all of details needed for check in along with a list of items provided at the house. Guests are not required to meet with anyone upon arrival, but rather will be given access codes to let themselves into the house. I am available by phone, text or email before and during your stay to help with any questions or issues that may arise. The NeighborhoodWe are 5 minutes away from the Wimberley square with all of the local shops, restaurants and the grocery store. So, while you feel that you're out in the country the conveniences of Wimberley are very close. Getting AroundYou'll need a car to get to and from the property. You can walk to town, but it will take you approximately 20 minutes. Other Things to NoteShade Ranch consists of 25 private acres and 513 feet of Blanco riverfront land. There are two houses on the property that we make available, the Little House and Casa Grande. Casa Grande is a 3 bedroom/2 bathroom home of 2800 square feet. The two houses are completely separate and don't share anything other than the land. They each have their own hot tubs, patios, grills and fire pits. The houses sit approximately 100 yards apart and are separated by a bank of cedar trees and a cedar privacy fence.

The SpaceRecently remodeled, the cabin is located in the perfect place to get away and spend some time in the Texas Hill Country! It's also nice if you've got a wedding in Wimberley or you're coming for Market Days, or you just want to get away from it all. With 2 arenas (not covered), this property is perfect for folks traveling with horses! LQ trailers can access electricity for an additional fee. Check for stall availability. Let out always available as there is a large trap on cleared 10 acres. Our horses are not available to rent as they are all rodeo or retired rodeo athletes. Guest AccessYou'll have your own gate opener during your stay, the location of which you'll receive with my check-in instructions. You can walk around the area in front of the cabin, down to the creek and the arenas, to get a feel for wide open spaces that are becoming rare! We ask that you do not enter the ranch areas behind the houses for safety reasons. It's very easy to get lost! Interaction with GuestsWe don't have a lot of interaction with our guests because we don't live directly onsite. However, we are very close by and love helping our guests by answering their questions about Wimberley. Our family has lived here for over 75 years, so we know a lot about our beloved area! The NeighborhoodThis nice little house is in the country with deer, fox, rabbits, road runners, and all sorts of fun-to-watch wildlife. An exotic game ranch is adjacent to our property so a walk or drive up the road is warranted! The cabin is between the original ranch house and the Bunkhouse. The smaller of the two, the Cabin, is also a short-term rental. The larger house is the original ranch house and is where our son lives. Neither are so close you'll feel crowded. Getting AroundThere is no commercial transit around here. Other Things to NoteLocated within 10-20 minute drives from Wimberley, Dripping Springs and Blanco there are many things to do and see in our neck of the woods. A little bit further, Austin, New Braunfels and San Antonio are easy to reach for those willing to drive just under an hour for even more to do and see!

The perfect Texas Hill Country Retreat! Read our 5-Star reviews! Jun 20, 2013 A little piece of heaven! Date of Stay June 16, 2013 Where do I start? This home is wonderful! Around every corner there is something new to discover. The pictures do not do this home justice. I'll start with the beds. Comfy comfy comfy. I actually wrote down the brand name of the pillows, sheets and comforters. Beautiful Egyptian cotten linans on all beds.everything in this house is top notch. There is a brand new Weber grill on the back porch to use as much as you want. Oh and the deers! We must have seen 50 of them during our stay. They just walk around the property at their leisure. They came within 5 feet of us on the back porch. And lastly I would like to say thank you to the owner Charles. He was at our disposal to answer any questions we had. He was always just an email away! My husband wanted me to mention the creek in the back. It is steps away from the house. We enjoyed fishing( the striped bass was plentiful!), canoeing and most of all swimming in the water. There is even a rope swing to enjoy. The boys had contests to see who could go the farthest! I highly recommend this place as a getaway for couples, families and anyone who wants to get away from it all Jun 1, 2013 Gorgeous, Creekside Lodge for Families or Groups Date of Stay May 25, 2013 As the first rental guest at Mill Race Lodge, I’m thrilled to write this review. A week ago, I spent a wonderful weekend with my 12th grade Girl Scout troop at this absolutely amazing lodge. Both inside and out, this is a very special place. The setting is gorgeous – there’s an expansive front lawn and back yard that slopes down to the creek. The back yard has a porch with beautiful brand new outdoor furniture, a wonderful grassy area, and a beautiful tree-lined creek. I loved sitting on the porch early each morning with my coffee, reading and listening to the birds. The inside is full of many wonderful, quality furnishings, both practical and just plain fun. There’s a fabulous, glass-enclosed dining room off the kitchen, facing the creek. We loved eating around its huge table that can easily seat 10 or more. The kitchen has all brand new stainless appliances, and new pots, pans, utensils, dishes and a large collection of kitchen gadgets. Nothing is missing from this kitchen! There’s also a brand new gas grill on the back porch. But, not everything is new and that’s part of the incredible charm. Everything was spotless though and extremely well cared for. There is lots of living space inside, which was great for us. You can spread out, or come together in front of the fireplace or around one of the large inside tables. There’s a huge movie library, lots of board games, pingpong, air hockey – there’s much to do for kids both big & small! Three of the girls had fun canoeing down the creek in one of the two canoes, and in the evening these city girls loved chasing the fireflys! While there are only three bedrooms, there is no shortage of sleeping area. Two girls slept on the huge wrap around couch in the game-room upstairs – they said it was really comfortable. There are also two single beds in the game-room (it’s a huge room) so it’s great for a group of kids. The location was perfect for us. It’s just a short walk to Wimberley Square, and there’s a large grocery store just a couple of minutes away. But, at the lodge, you feel like you’re very far away from all of that. In fact, there was a group of deer, including two spotted fawn, that we saw all weekend near the house. The owner, Charles, was incredibly responsive to my many questions and he went out of his way to make sure everything was just right. His service was exceptional. I would give Mill Race Lodge 10 stars if I could – it’s truly that special!

Our family built this wonderful property as a place to gather with family and friends and we would like to share it with you. Take a walk though our 12 acres, watch the deer graze as you enjoy your morning coffee, have a family BBQ, sit and relax on the long porch as you gaze at the river, play with your kids in the spacious yard, and cool off in the Blanco River. Our home is conveniently located just 10 miles from the Wimberley square, Blue Hole Regional Park, and the Coral Theatre - one of the last outdoor theaters in the US. ==== AMENITIES ==== • Access to the Blanco River • Four bedrooms: 1)king, 2)queen, 3)2 twin beds 4)2 twin beds. - Zane, July 2014 Wimberley is a beautiful small town. A perfect place for a getaway with family and friends.
