The SpaceWhitby is a cute little weatherboard cottage right next door to our house. We are always working on the gardens surrounding our property, so please feel free to wander around and enjoy them. The cottage is our guest house, so it's right next door. The entrance is near the back area of our house. It is separated by its own little picket fence and screens, the screening plants are just babies at the moment but nevertheless you can easily go your whole stay without running into us if that's what you prefer, because we use the front entrance. The cottage has an open plan kitchen, lounge and dining area (8 seater table) with a wood heater. The space also has a split system air conditioning and heating unit if you prefer more climate control. Animals: We have horses on the property, who are just total gluttons and will check your pockets for treats. They are very social, and especially love children as they seem to have worked out that they usually carry the treats... Kitchen: We have plenty of cutlery, glassware (glasses, wine and champagne glasses) and crockery for eight people as well as pots and pans to cook large meals. Laundry: There is a washer in the laundry, and a retractable clothes line on the back verandah for those lovely air-dry appropriate days. We provide plenty of washing powder. We have an ironing board and iron, as well as an ironing mat (a special mat you just put on the laundry bench) if you just want to iron something quickly. Bathrooms: There are two modern bathrooms, one much larger than the other but both with showers. We provide the obvious bathroom essentials plus shampoo and conditioner. We use bleach and hospital grade disinfectant in the bathrooms. Bedrooms: We have put quality mattresses on all the beds. The bedrooms are quite snug, they just fit the bed and a wardrobe. The one bedroom without a wardrobe has hooks on the walls for hanging. The two bedrooms with double beds have sliding doors leading out onto the back veranda. Outdoor area: There is a spacious back veranda with outdoor dining table and lounge, as well as a BBQ so you can enjoy some outdoor cooking. Pets: We love holidaying with our dog, and don't like having to book low or average quality places just to be able to bring him with us. So we have made our cottage pet friendly, and made it the kind of place that we would like to stay with our pet: > Very clean > Well furnished > Space for pets to run around > Pet loving hosts! Pet rules: > We are very vigilant in removing all animal hair from the cottage after pet owning guests, but we also ask that you please be aware of where your pet is shedding if you have a particularly hairy pet, and try to help us out with this. > We ask that guests bring their own pet beds, and keep the pets in the tiled areas of the lounge if possible. > Please don't leave your pet unattended in the house or on the property. > There are other animals and livestock nearby, so please don't bring any dogs who aren't well behaved and will chase them. Guest AccessYou are welcome to access every part of the property except for our house, and the large shed. Interaction with GuestsWe are close by if you need us, and we love a good chat. However if you are after total privacy we are perfectly happy to oblige. Just let us know if you would like us to meet you on arrival for a tour and a chat, or if you would just like to check in at your leisure. The NeighborhoodWe are conveniently located to the famous restaurant Brae in Birregurra, and the stately Barwon Mansion. We are also about a twenty minute drive from Inverleigh. Getting AroundThere is a local taxi service in Winchelsea which is prompt and reliable. If you are dining at Brae or over in Inverleigh they can pick you up from the cottage and bring you back after dinner. The town is really close, under 1km. It only takes a few minutes to drive in from the cottage if you are dining at the pub or need to go to the supermarket. Other Things to NoteThe local pubs in Winchelsea stop serving dinner at 8PM, and the local IGA closes at 7:30PM. If you are arriving after this time make sure to bring some food to cook for dinner.

Comments from guests "This house was absolutely incredible. From the minute we walked into the house we felt totally relaxed and calm. The silence of the region plus the comfort of all the decor was gorgeous. We spent most of our time either watching the gorgeous fireplace roaring with heat, or sitting out watching the world go by. Thank you so much for our time there - everyone agreed that we WILL be back again!!" "We had a brilliant time down at Charleson Farm for our 10 year wedding anniversary. Our 3 kids loved the place and the room outside to run around, and also quite enjoyed chasing the roos and helping with the fire duties. While we felt completely isolated (which is what we wanted), there were plenty of great food and wine places within 15-20 minutes to satisfy all our needs. Currently working out when our next trip to Charleson will be. Thanks - it was just brilliant." "Our weekend was fantastic, we can not say enough about the gorgeous house and for thinking of all the little things needed but often forgotten. We had an amazing time with all the tired and frazzled mothers leaving yesterday feeling revived and a little sore from the laughter and warm with memories that we will keep with us for a long time. It really was a special weekend." "Charleson Farm was very nice ... the perfect place for families who want total seclusion. The kangaroos came right up to the house almost every day." "WOW that was great holiday even though we were rained in, we still went walking in the rain and dried by the beautiful fireplace! We definitely plan to come and stay again - it is hard to find such a nice house that fits all my siblings in it!!" "The house is fantastic for a group weekend away, with all quarters very well designed"
